Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday. We made it to a new month, but it sure is cooler than normal around here.

First, mum broked the grass eating monster! Sunday she was mowing, doing a good job when, the mower just quit. She couldn't get it started again, so into the fix-it shop. Seems the governor spring broke and so the throttle wouldn't open. So mower all fixed, grass is now all cut.

Flowers! We have new flowers or at least new flower buds, so hopefully flowers soon.
This is a white cornflower, mum got two of these last spring, showing their flower buds.
The hostas are shooting out flower spikes and all of the hostas are going to bloom.
This is one of the two pink cat mint plants with their pretty little pink flowers.
Another cone flower, pink and a bit straggley, but mum says the plant has only been in the ground for a year. Give it time.

That is all for this week. Everyone have a safe holly-day weekend.

Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

  1. My mum has got catmint plants too and every year they grow bigger and bigger. The flutterbys love them. It has been much cooler than normal here too until a few days ago, then it went crazy!

  5. Too bad the mower didn't stay broken. Those are nearly as loud as the vacuum cleaner. Your garden is always so beautiful, it's probably just as well, so it can be nice and tidy.

  8. We could send some warms your way but we is afraid it might come with smoke, cuz we sure got a lot of that right now.

Mom bean loves the flowers and she hopes her electric mower doesn't have one of the governor thingies.

  9. We like yer hosta flowers and coneflower. We have few coneflowers just barely blooming after 15 years. We admire them for doing their best.
