My Cubes

Yes I have four cubes that are all linked together. Mum got them for me for my first Christ-mouse with her. Here is one of the firsted pictures of me making my way through the cubes. Grampie laughed when they got set up since the took up a lot of space.
Mum worked on them to get them into a nice shape that didn't totally take over a room and she found a nice way to put them together and wrap them around the chair she sits in when she sits inside watching birdies by the big windows that go to the floor.
I love to nap and play in and around them. Sometimes I wait on the far end and then ambush mum as she walks by the other end. Sometimes she is expecting me, other times I managed to surprise her.
Heck, I play with them so hard that I can upset them so they are laying on their sides. Sometimes mum picks them up to clean and finds my fevver butt mousies hiding there. I know they are there, and I toss the cubes to get at them or some of the toys under the chair.
So I am looking under the other end of the cubes, I know there must be a mousie here.
Even when they are on their side I will climb in and chill.
Coming through, I'm gonna get mum really soon, one more cube and I will jump at her!

So come on over, we can play and chill in the cubes.

Under control

Yeah mum, fine. Go day hunting, I've got things under control here. z z z z z z Z Z Z Z Z

Lots of you commented on mum's steps. Yeah, she comes home from her racy car weekends and her feets are tired. But after a good night sleeps she is fine. Even on a 'normal' day, she will put on 3-4 thousand a day.

ManCat Monday

In the middle of a world that had always been a bit mad, the cat walks with confidence. - Rosanne Amberson
I had a quiet weekend. Lots of watching birdies, napping and just chillaxin'. Mum went off to play with racy cars but she came home to sleeps. So she had a busy weekend of chasing all over the track. This was the annual Cat National, you can go here to learn more about the cat. Plus it was the Ruby Cat national as they had some special cars cellybrating that they have been around for 40 years. Mum says the cars are Formula Fords.
This picture looks back to the 'bottom' of the territory they cover.
This is the top of the territory they had to cover, plus mum said they have to climb over those big blocks on the left. Mum says she can still make it! A couple of the races they had to line up had either 88 or 111 cars in them! Mum says that is a lot of cars.
Late on both days they got some rain, but Sunday it managed to mess up the actual races, but mum says they race rain or shine, so you better come prepared.
With all of the walking around mum says her feets hurt, pounding on mostly hot pavement all day her feets hurt, so she is sitting with them 'toes up'.
She wore her pedometer, this is her total for just Sunday. Mum says that is over 5.5 miles!

Fevver Friday

The wrens did make a home in this birdie house. Now we can hear the little ones cheaping a lot while the mum and dad are off getting foods for them. They dont' start making noise really early, so they don't wake mum up.
I can sit in mum's sleepy room window and am about 15 feet away. So I can see the birdies going in and out all day long.

Mum is being careful around it and not going by it outside unless she has to. Good thing that the grass isn't growing much, so then she doesn't have to use the grass eating monster very often.

This was in the paper and The Meezer's might be interested in the Futon-A-Thon. They always can't wait to visit their DadPerson to snuggle on the foo-ton.
I checked out this white, cold and very still kittie that mum brought home. Doesn't move, just sits there.
Anyway, the weekend is here, woohoo. Have a great one.

Do I or Don't I

Is your cat plotting to kill you?

But if I do, what do I do with the body? Plus who will feed me then? Who would give me my scritches? Guess I better not get too carried away, just yet.
Yeah mum and me has been ignoring the strange beans who want to link to us to get green papers. We deletes them from the comments too. I just wants to link to my kittie furiends, not beans that don't know me or have a kittie.

Plus a while back mum put on a that if the post is more than 5 days old all comments get moderated. That helps from getting things put on a post from ages ago. We have only had one actual comment that was OK to be added from a kittie blogger.

ManCat Monday

A cat is an example of sophistication minus civilization. Anonymous

Today, according to mum, is a historic day that beans firsted walked up on the moon. I just look at the moon from the windows when it is up in the sky. Wow, that beans have actually been there and walked around.

Sorry I had a few people worried on my post on Friday. No, I wasn't going to the light in that I was heading off to The Bridge. Just recently mum was looking for me, and there I was, out in the open, but sitting in the sun. It made for a couple of neat pictures.

I have a question for you guys. Are you getting comments asking to link to you so they can make money or offering you money? I figure if they paid me a million green papers, that should about cover it. That would keep me in treats for a furry long time.

Chey and Gemini wanted to know if I enjoyed the calypso band concert, once we found it on the web. Yes I did, I was shaking my tail in time to the music.

Friday night just after mum went to lay down in the sleepy room, I jumped up in the open window and let out a really deep and long MERRROWWWWW. I did this several times, which made mum get up and look out the window with me. Of course she couldn't see anything, but then she went and turned on the light on the back of the house and just sat inside by the big windows that go to the floor. About 5 minutes later out from the flower bushes came an evil intruder kittie! See mum, I knew there was something out there! He/she? skulked off under the gate and disappeared. We rarely get wandering kitties, so this was a surprise.

Mum was busy outside this weekend painting part of the patio cover. She did the white paint part, getting three coats of paint on the wood. The blue stuff she will do soon. But since she was busy at home, she wasn't out looking at kittens anywhere!

Go To The Light

Yep, its me, just sitting in the sunshine!

Yeah, I think mum will always cheat on me. You must understand, I like being an only cat. That way I get all of the treats, scritches, attention, cuddles. Mum has a soft heart and loves to check out any kitties and woofies she sees. But unless she leaves with an empty PTU in the metal monster, I think I am OK. At least for now. Probably some day, sometime, she will get me a little brofur or sisfur. I just hope it isn't anytime soon.

Hard to think it is the middle of summer, it is cool here. Mum went to the concert in the park last night with Grampie and when she came home her toes were all cold.

Oh, oh, a few weeks ago I told you about the calypso band. Mum found out that the entire concert got taped and you can see it here! Mum was rocking tonight when she got home and listened to part of it again.

Her Cheating Heart

She did it again on Monday! She cheated!!!! AGAIN! She went to the special store to get some foods for me, and yes came home smelling of cat and kitten. Very faint but still there. She says she had to go by the place in the store that has the kitties who get put on display by one of the local shelters, to get to the food. Yeah right mum, so you say. But if you walked by faster or would avert your eyes, then I would feel better. NOT COMING HOME AND SQUEEING ABOUT THE CUTE GINGER KITTENS.

So cue the twanging guitars and get me a tall, cold one. It's time for a Hank Williams song.

Your cheatin' heart will make you weep
You'll cry and cry and try to sleep
But slee-eep won't come the whole night through
Your cheatin' heart will tell on you

When tears come down like fallin' rain
You'll toss around and call my name
You'll wa-alk the floor the way I do
Your cheatin' heart will tell on you

Your chea-eatin' heart will pine some day
And crave the love you threw away
The ti-ime will come when you'll be blue
Your cheatin' heart will tell on you

When tears come down like fallin' rain
You'll toss around and call my name
You'll wa-alk the floor the way I do
Your cheatin' heart will tell on you

Plus she brought this thing home, I show you my tail!

ManCat Monday

I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat. - Edgar Allan Poe

Mum went off to play with racy cars this weekend, but while she was there she cheated on me! Yes, she came home and I could smell woofies on her, but also kitten! Then I got a look at the flashy box and I have proof!
Here you can see mum with the kitten, snuggling up to her so nice. You can also see mum's head gear, she had to be in charge of her group, which means she had to wear the headset. But didn't that prevent her from taking time to check out this little one. From what I understand someone she knows had 5 kittens there, hoping to find them homes.
Here is a better picture of the kitten, along with the lady who will become its mum. Phew, I dodged a bullet here, that mum didn't come home with a little one. To be sure she understand, I put the bitey on her when she got home on Sunday evening.
But here is a picture of a racy car, the driver is the son of one of mum's good furiends. He did good this weekend.
Plus early in the morning, this guy flew over with his parachute and a machine attached to make him go in the air.

But what is good that mum is taking Monday off, so I can continue bugging mum about being unfaithful to me. Maybe a few more biteys, specially on the spot on her leg that looks a little bit reddish! Yeah, that should do it.

Furry Friday - Bird Bath?

Mr Squirrel jumping up and getting a drink from the birdie bath. Sometimes they manage to tip the top water holding pan down, mum doesn't have it attached so she can take it off to clean it good every couple of weeks.

The ham emergency is over. The fire is out and the company said they will be back to work next week. Mum said they can bring in ham to our stores from other places so we won't be out of our goodies.
Yesterday mum came home but then didn't come inside for the longest time. She was out chatting with the neighbor, then she went and water all her plants. Finally she came in and I could get my coming home scritches.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Package Exchange

My fellow ginger buddies, Eric and Flynn, can't get Greenies in the UK. So we sent them a care package of Greenies. They respond with goodies back to us.
Come on mum I need your hands to open this up. My teeth and paws just won't do here.
Lots of goodies, treats for me and mum. Mum's stuff includes teas and mints that she likes that you can't buy here. Thanks guys!

Ham Emergency!!!

There is a big place around us that processes ham, bacon etc. It caught on fire Sunday evening, it has burned all day today.

So I hopes we don't have a ham shortage! I might faint away.
Update 7/7: The fire is not totally out yet, maybe tomorrow, they hope. This place is like 20 miles from our house, so no I couldn't smell anything. Plus the wind was blowing the smell, smoke and all away from us.

Mum says anything inside that building would probably make us sick if we ate it. So no, we don't want to teleport over to check it out. Plus we might get squirted by the big fire hoses.

ManCat Monday

Cats as a class, have never completely got over the snootiness caused by that fact that in Ancient Egypt they were worshipped as gods. - P G Wodehouse

Yeah, worshipped! I can only wish.

Nice weekend, just a little of snap, crackle, boomers here. So nothing to be really scared about but I don't mind the noise too much as long as it isn't close or really loud. Plus they usually quit about 11 PM so mum could go to sleep!

Mum did some cooking outside, chilled. Did some re-arranging of stuff on the patio for the fevver food, so now there is less stuff sitting around outside. Mum is mad at the squirrels they were digging in PHE and her Christmas cactus again. Plus we saw Mr Hawk on Friday. He caught a little something, fevver? chipmonk? and took off to sit on the neighbors fence, then up into the tree. We hadn't seen Mr Hawk at all for a couple of months. Maybe he now has a family to feed.

Mum took Grampie to a purrade yesterday for Indy-pen-dense Day. It was at the church he goes to and it is a really old church so they have been having this purrade for ages and ages. The church is the first of its denomination founded in Whiskerconsin. The preachers carry the flags, both the US flag and the church flag.
A big om-pah band for music.
Fire trucks new, old, different colors and all.
Lots of kids riding and tossing candy to the crowd.
Old cars.
Horsies being ridden.
Horsies being led.
As mum and Grampie sat listening to the music after the purrade, they were near this woofie. Mum said he looked so nice and was furry well behaved. No barking, jumping, begging for foods. Just sitting nice with his beans. That is a good dog according to mum.
I hope that all of you had a good weekend too.

Happy 4th of July

Happy Independence Day to my fellow American Kitties. Hope all have a great day and cellybrate responsibly.

The official big fireworks was last night in our area, some places will have them tonight. To make sure we don't get hurt I will have mum set off the fireworks. We ordered these special in that they don't make booms to scare kitties. They are pretty but won't scare you. Now to honor America, please join in and sing a few songs with me. Sing them from your heart.

God, bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her,
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam,
God, bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America Land that I love
Stand beside her
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America

My home sweet home
God bless America....

My home sweet home!

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!

America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self the country loved
And mercy more than life!

America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!

America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

now a bit of calypso style America The Beautiful.

Furry Friday Bunnie Baby

More of our wildlife in the back yard. Bunnies a baby who was eating the dandy lions, mum says the buns can eat all of the dandy lions they want, just don't eat her good plants. You may have to biggify the pictures to see the buns!

Mum got home from day hunting early yesterday, went out in the garden, dug out the couple of dead plants and put new stuff in. The butterfly bushes didn't come back this year and she wants to get more pictures of butterflys.

Mum and Grampie went to another concert in the park last night, it was a calypso band. Even Grampie liked it. Here are a couple of samples of their music.
