Happy Weekend

Yipee, mum is home and we is snuggling on the couch and keeping warm. Hope all of my furiends are warm and safe too. I know there is a nasty storm with ice and snow going south of us.

While winter can be a pain, it can also be lovely. A few weekends ago we had freezing fog which then gets on the trees and stuff. Mum calls it hoar frost. You can biggify the pictures for your enjoyment.
Then a few days later it got all melty and we had a puddle from the drips off the patio roof, so some fevvers came to plan in it for a bit.
Mum says it will be a weekend of the usual chores and stuff for her, plus working on her knitting, she is making lots of progress on the blankie.
Happy Weekend to all. Stay warm and dry.

  5. Looks icy there. Love looking at your winter pics since we never have any snow here. All considered, I would rather swelter than freeze.

Yay for the Colts! Go, GO, GOOOOOO!!! Don't know the other team, so I will support Opus and Ollie's since they are special furriends.

  6. Our part of the storm has already blown through. Winter can be absolutely beautiful. I remember one year we had a late storm and the daffodils got encased in ice.

  11. Enjoy your weekend Derby & Mum.
Tell her to knit something purple to wear while she cheers for the Colts in the Super Bowl.

  12. Maximus Spittimus has asked me to say all cats should have a blanky - even if his blanky is the bestest.

He also would like to add that he will be very happy to grow up handsome like you - although he believes he will be handsomer...;-)

  13. Derbs,
We know the Colts are blue.
By referring to purple, we meant to wear something in memory of the Vikings loss to the Saints because most Vikes fans will be supporting the Colts. And probably wearing purple while they do it.
Knowing your mom is a huge Packers fan who would n-e-v-e-r do anything to support the Vikes, our comment was a "tongue in cheek" try at some football humor.
Hope we didn't get her too riled up! Sorry!

  15. We are familiar with snow, frost and then rain following, then the melty stuff freezes again, all part of da winter. We like your photos, very nice. Hope you find a warm spot to curl up in.
