Squillion Day

Eight years ago I, Derby the Sassy Cat, allowed the debut of a little ginger colored ceramic kittie. Mum named her Virginger and she and her litter mates took over the inner webs.
We fostered and lots of other people fostered these kitties and found them a good home.

Yeah, yeah, yeah Derbs. Take it from me, Virginger herself, you may have introduced me, but I made it on my own. Yep I did. Reporting from outside and well, letting the world know that my litter mates were wonderful to adopt. Very low maintenance, allergy free, always in a good mood and ready to go.

I can sit on the top part of the tower too, see I am higher than Ducky here.
Getting checked out by Ducky, he is such a sweet little mancat, more my size.

So Happy Squillion Day to myself and all the rest of my litter mates. We rock!

ManCat Monday

God has created the cat to give man the pleasure of caressing the tiger. Theophile Gautier

First we send comforting purrs to Nigels' family, he ran off to The Bridge over the weekend. If you haven't been over to leave a message, you can go here.

We had a nice weekend. For the first time in ages it didn't snow on the weekend. So we had lots of sun puddles to nap in all weekend.

Even with all the cold temperatures the sun is getting stronger. We can see a tiny stripe of grass along the driveway.
The bit just in front of the house is bare as well, this doesn't get a ton of snow since the roof sticks out a bit, but even so, it is nice to see the ground.
Even a bit of grass sticking out, in the back and you can see a little bit of melty in the bright sun, even though it was cold.
Mum was working hard on her colorful blankie this weekend. She says she wants to get it done!
Have a wonderful week every one.

Caturday

Yay, we made it again to Caturday. We let mum sleep in a bit today, she has been tired out by all of the icky weathers and driving in it this week. So now cuz she had enough sleeps she has a smile on her face.

We can see lots of sticks fell out of the trees with the winds. Nothing big, but mum says if the neighbors would trim out the dead stuff in the firsted place, then she wouldn't have to pick the stuff up!
We have lots of sun, so getting ready to enjoy our sun puddles. We hope you have sun puddles to enjoy today too.
Happy Weekend.

RIP Dove

We was waiting for mum to be done with her brekkie this morning to get a few milk licks when we heard a big thump on the windows that go to the floor.
Poor Mr Dove had flown into the windows so hard and he just didn't move and mum said she saw blood too. Mum took a picture from inside but then she had to go to day hunt.
So when she got home she saw that the dove was still there so went out to get it away from the house and us having to see it every day!
Yep, there was blood and you can see it clearly once mum picked up the dove. No she didn't pick it up with her hands, she used the shovel.

Then mum carried out by the back fence and covered it up with snow. By spring mum says it will probably be gone, eaten up by mousies and such.
The roof that got raked and with the sun and warm temps today, mostly clear. That is good, we is getting rain on Thursday, maybe the slippery freezing rain stuff.
Here is the snow piles right outside our big windows. Glad we have the tower so we can sit on it and still see over the snow piles.

Tuesday, This and That

UNCLE! We have had enough snows and colds. Just go away! Monday mum got home early from day hunting, they got sent home early since the roads were getting bad. Another 5 inches of snow, but amazing, it didn't get super cold this time. However, since it did get a bit melty today, mum checked the dungeon. It still leaks and she is not happy.
So mum worked hard to clear off the snow but the snow bank in the back is getting higher. It was dark so mum didn't get a picture just yet. Glad we have the tower to see over the snow bank. It is up to mum's knees in some places in the yard.
Both of us sitting by mum tonight, just getting some loves from her and us purring to keep her calm and happy.

Mini ManCat Monday

A cat will assume the shape of its container.

HiYa, Ducky here.

Well, the rest of the weekend was fine after visiting the stabby place.  I forgives mum for taking me there cuz I know that she wants me to be healthy.

See I was no not worried that I napped on her legs on Sunday afternoon. She even napped with me some of the time. I even crawled into her sleepy spot on Sunday morning.

Plus mum bought a cake at the store, she cellybrated getting another year older on Sunday. She gave us some extra noms!
Have a good week everyone!

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Thanks to all who stopped by to help me and us cellybrate my Gotcha Day and Valentines Day. All these important days right on top of each other.

Well, it has been an interesting morning for me. I got lured into the human litterbox room and then stuffed in the PTU!

I didn't care for this at all and I sure let mum know about it. I don't usually say much, but I did voice my displeasure.
Derby came over to check me out and to say bye. He was happy as he had the house to himself for a while.
In the PTU, all strapped in so it won't bounce around. Mum is a good driver, but I would rather not have to go for the ride in the first place.
My weight, they have a new digital scale in the office, this way mum can see exactly what I weigh and mum and the Mr Vet Man say this is just fine.
Me waiting on the table, mum did not take any pictures during the actual exam. But she told them about my sort of hair ball thing a week or so ago, so they put a probe up my spot 13. Normal! Of course, I could have told them that and spared me the probe! Otherwise, I am healthy and up to date on my vaccinations.
On the way home mum recorded the time and temp. Our appointment was the firsted one of the day at 9 AM, no other kitties or woofies to visit with. Mum likes it that way for us, less stuff to bother us. Plus since it was such a cold morning mum even went out and warmed the metal monster before she put me into it when we left home. That was a nice thing to do.
Me riding in the PTU on the way home. Quiet this time and as soon as she got me home, she brought me inside and let me out of the PTU. Derby did bug me for a few minutes but now all seems to be OK.

Hope the rest of you have a good weekend.

It is me, Ducky, I too have a wonder sweetie. Dora, The Explorer. A wonderful tortie who just makes my heart beat just a little faster. Do you see my heart? That is her paw print, forever on my heart. I send all sorts of wonderful thoughts and soft purrs to you.
Here is a beautyous boquet of lovely pink roses just for you. With lots and lots of love, Ducky.
All of us, mum too, want to wish all of you a Happy Valentine's Day. Let those you care about know that you do care about them.

4th Gotcha Day!

It was four years ago today
That Ducky came to stay!

Yep, four years ago, me and mum picked each other out at the shelter and I got me a furrever home. Not like my firsted home which I ran away from.

I sneaked onto mum's puter back then and here was my firsted post. Then you can read my Gotcha/Life Story here.

Now, I would be bad if I didn't offer up some noms and refreshments to my visitors. So help yourselves gang and thanks for stopping by to cellybrate my Gotcha Day.
