Tuesday This and That

HiYa Ducky here. Short post, I need to purr on mum. She had a super long day at work and is furry tired. Said it was a chaotic day but the quarter is closed.
Yesterday mum gave me some of the corn bread that she had left. I agree, it is nommy. Glad she gave me some. Gave me some ham too.

ManCat Monday

If cats were allowed in heaven wouldn't we see all these tails hanging down? - Diane Albright

No dear Diane, if we kitties are all happy, our tails are up and held high! She must not have been owned by a cat!

We had a nice bright sunny Caturday, Sunday was stormy. Including sleet! So me and mum just chilled out. Mum did laundry and a bit of cleaning and reading.

Caturday evenng mum got ambitious and cooked something new. Mum called it cornbread. Said it was really nommy.

Plus our Bucky Badgers are on to the final four.

Pee S.  - I do love violets, they are quite tasty.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday gang. It is bright and sunny, BUT, mum says it is cool out. There was even a bit of frosting on the roofs today when she got up.

Checking out V&G outside, they are fine, no bird-sicles have been found.

Mum went out and got all the shopping done and came home with these two little flowers. She calls them African Violets. Said when she saw them she thought of her mum since she was good at making these grow.
So mum bought two and will see if she can get the to survive. She needs to get a place set up where they get light, hum-did-ity and such. They sure are purrty.
Plus they taste good too! Ha, mum even had the story lady check that they were OK for kitties to nibble on, I was taking a lick at the pink flowers.
Mum wasn't too thrilled with me getting at them, so now they are up here and she hopes I stay out of them, or she may have to rethink were they will go.
Fine, you don't want me to mess with your flowers, I will go chill out on my tower.

Happy weekend all.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday. Still not too much happening. It got cold again, we had snow flurries on Monday and rain Wednesday early AM which slightly froze on the tree branches.
We are just hanging out in the back, Mum zips out to say hello and check on us, but then back in the house where it is warm.
We are snoopervising the slightly frozen bird bath. Maybe we will get bird-sicles!

Mum hung out the flying ribbons this past week. She didn't have any more wind socks in the metal monster room to use. So figured she might as well use this. We all like the bright colors and it goes in so many different directions in the wind.

That is all for now. See you next week.

ManCat Monday

To me, the best holistic remedy for high blood pressure, is a purring cat on your lap. - Kathrine Palmer Peterson

Yep we cats are really good at healing peoples. Mum readed me two books this weekend about a wonderful ginger boy who lives in London, named Bob. He and his purrson are doing well!

So this is what me and mum did most of the weekend while she stayed off the puter so her body got some rest. But back to day hunting and lots puter work!

Have a good week everyone.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday! We are chillin' today. Mum says her shoulder and wrist have the hurties from too much puter stuff at work. So that means little puter stuff here, just enuf to get my post done. More reading books. So we can cuddle!

Nice sunny Caturday, so why am I not in the sun puddle in the window?
Cuz the heaty vent it so much warmer right now. It is cool out so the hots maker in the dungeon is working!

Katie and Waffles where talking about good eating bowls or dishes for us kitties. Mum knew all of the stuff they mentioned. Wide bowls, a bit raised. Mum does that for me. You can read all of the stuff that this is good for us kitties at Katie and Waffles!
A wide dish, won't mess my whiskers. Plus these are dishwasher safe so they get washed good. Mum has 6 of them she rotates so they don't get all icky.
 A bowl for the base.
 Combine the two and voila
A nice eating set up, complete with placement!

When mum was off with Miss Lynn to the mayo place she saw some fancy kittie dishes in the store window, they also had woofie ones too. Mum did not go in the store to see what they would cost.
Plus she saw this too, again she doesn't know the cost, she just took the picture. Probably more than she would want to spend.
Happy Weekend All! Enjoy.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Viringer and Glimmer.

Tomorrow is the vernal equinox, or as some put it, the first day of spring. Officially that occurs here at 5:45 PM Central Daylight Time. So not until dinner time around here.Even better is that we are getting spring like weather.

More of the crocus bulbs by the house are blooming, Purple, white with purple strips and some gold ones too.

Happy Spring, see you next week.

ManCat Monday

Like a graceful vase, a cat, even when motionless, seems to flow. - George Will

Happy Monday? We had a nice quiet weekend. At least inside we did. As we ate lunch yesterday mum looked outside and saw Mr Hawk eating a dove! We didn't see the take down, just the after part. Once mum was done with her lunch she went outside and got some pics.

Mum taking the picture from the drive between the two evergreen trees. He seems to sense mum, but a car had just driven by too.
Then mum walked to the other side of the road to take a few pictures from there too.
Later when he was done eating and flown away, mum went to take pictures of all that was left. Fevvers!
It was interesting to watch!

Plus we got our first flower outside for the year. One little purple crocus. The spring birds are here, robins, red-winged blackbirds and grackles.
Have a good week everyone.

Caturday

HiYa, Happy Caturday. About time! Mum ran off to get stuff done, taxing stuff she said. But that is all done for this year. Money is coming back!

Plus, she zipped out of here so fast, she didn't know where I was. I was in her big closet, so I spent a couple of hours just zoned out there. She finally found me once she came home and was looking for me.
Yay, I'm out, time to check out the sunshine and such. Plus get lots of cuddles from mum. Plus she said there will be a tasty treat for supper tonight.
One tulip is being brave and sticking its nose out of the ground. It has been nice and warms here this past week. Lots of sun and open windows too.

This is what is left of the snow in the front and in the back. And the patio patch is almost gone this AM. Probably all gone by tonight.
Happy weekend all.
