Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy weekend, but ours is going to be a cool and wet one. It was 80 yesterday and it is now in the 50's. So guess we will be inside today.

Me holding mum down, says she should de-fur the house and that includes ME! Says it is time for a good session with the fuminator! If I don't let her get up, then she can't do that stuff. So, I will be having a sit-a-thon. Wish me luck.

Happy weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper!  The Island Cats said we were adding to the troops. Yep we are, and we figured that was a good name.

Mum got a nice picture of the three of us after she planted her new lilac. It looks good and still looks good. Mum made sure it got a good drink last night as it hadn't rained much.
Inspecting some of the plants mum put in last year, they are coming back fine and multiplying. These plants are to attract butterflies. Even our butterfly bushes survived, but they are just now starting to put out new shoots. Hopefully the will grow and get flowers on them.
Plus our nice visit with Ducky. Mum says she will try to bring the little guy out more often in the evening. Once the shade gets on the patio and if it isn't warm and humid.
Mum forgots about these planters, so went and got a couple of geraniums to go in. One flower per pot. These guys are Frick and Frack!

Plus a short moovie of us and Ducky outside.

That is all for this week.

Trooper: Wait, Miss Virginger? Mum didn't put the big black boxes by the street.

Virginger: Good catch Trooper, but with the holliday, mum doesn't have to put it out until tonight for Friday pickup.

That is all, Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

Hope everyone had a good holly-day weekend. I hopes you are not where all the rain is coming down and having to move to higher ground for safety.

I had an adventure last night, I got to go outside and be outside for about a half hour.
This is a soft, collapsible kennel for woofies, but mum uses it with us kitties too. When I first got here mum would either put me or Derby inside and let the other one wander around. That way we got to know each other, but couldn't fight!
So me and the girls has a nice chat and we came up with a name for NNIT. That will be revealed on Garden Thursday. Plus, if mum gets time, there will be short moovie of my time outside.

Mum played in the dirt with flowers again tonight, says this is really the last for this year.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday and for mum and other in the US, we get a long weekend with Monday as the holliday.

We had a vishus deer alert this morning. Mum and I were watching outside in the back, along with the girls when we saw three, yes three, deers come through the naybors yard behind us. They went to the front yard, then probably a metal monster spooked them and they took off running to the east.  Mum says that is the closest direction to extra cover and woods. Glad I was inside.
Me sitting on mum as she tries to put this together! I did get off her boobities so she could see. Plus I have to hand her over to the girls outside. Mum has to dig holes for plants.

Happy weekend everyone.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and NNIT (No Name Introoder Kittie).

Yes, we are gaining another outside girl to join our ranks. We girls can take the big outdoors, unlike some mancats we have known!

Virginger: OK kid, listen up. Here are your duties. First, while our post is on Thursday, mum has lots of outside chores that have to be done on Wednesday night. This includes getting the trash and recycling containers out. Got it?
NNIT: Ummm, what containers are those Virginger, er, Miss, Ma'm, Sir?

Virginger: That big black box you were sitting on earlier, that one! OK?
NNIT: This one? Yep, it is sitting out by the street and I saw her put a big white bag inside of it.

Virginger: Good, you got one thing down. Now we also have to report on stuff that goes outside or that mum is working on doing outside.

NNIT: You mean like the stuff she brought home last night? The pretty colored things?

Virginger: Yep, that is it.
NNIT: OK, she brought home a whole big thing of these flowers and this purpley thing, that says it is a lilac.
Virginger: Yep, that is what we need to know. But that means we have to stay on her so that this all gets planted in the next few days. That will require all three of us to keep after her.

Virginger: Not bad for your first time. Things will get easier as the summer goes on. Now is a bizzy time for us. Later we can just make sure she gets the lawn mowed.

Also, NNIT, we do have to find a name for you. A suggestion was made to call you Trudy. But we outside lady cats have names that end in ER.

Virginger
Glimmer
________er

So we gotta work on telling mum what your name is. Don't worry, we will get you a good one.

Thanks for visiting, Love Virginger, Glimmer and NNIT.

Tuesday This and That

Peek-a-boo I see you mum, just sitting and reading. I think you should go get me something nice. Yep, you should.
Gooshy foods, that is something nice. Good job.

Mum is trying to find a good name for the intruder cat. She really likes one and then thinks maybe she should save if for a new real cat if we add on sometime. Introoder cat is a girl, so she should go outside with the other girls. Yep, that works for me.

ManCat Monday

Here lies a pretty cat: its mistress, who never loved anyone, Loved it madly... - Epitaph on a cat's tombstone

Guess we all want our beans to love us madly. I know mum loves me, she is so nice to me, makes sure I have toys, noms, lots of good places to nap or hide. Mum lets me crawl over her, sleep on her and even snuggling under the covers in the morning.

Me looking out the kitchen windows. There was an evil sqwerl out side messing near the flowers.
Mum grilled the first bratwurst of the season. She bought lots and put them in the freezy box so she will have more some time in the future. She only ate one, the other will be dinner one night this week.
Do you see me here? Short of hard to see in the reflection, I was sitting on the chair watching mum cook outside, in the rain, holding an umbrella!
Mum did a wider shot, me, Virginger and Glimmer too. At least that introoder cat didn't mess into the picture.

Caturday

Hi, Duckie checking in, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far.
Feel sort of stiff this morning, don't quite know why. Maybe I caught a bug, HAHAHAHA.
      EXCUSE ME!
MUM!
WHO IS THIS IMPOSTER WHO HAS INVADED OUR HOME!?

HiYa, the real Ducky here, checking out this little dude. He is small than me, doesn't talk and yep is stiff. Like a dead stiff! Mum said he came from the FleetFarm shelter just down the road.

Not to sure about this little guy, or is it a girl? I didn't check that part out. Perhaps it needs to go outside with Virginger and Glimmer. Plus, you can't have my name or anything that is close to my name. Get it kid?
Mum, I am seriously displeased with this interloper and you. To think I spent all that time this morning cuddling and purring with you in bed, and then you spring this on me. Sheesh.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend and that your surprizes are good ones!

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer.

Lots of good things this week. New stuff blooming and growing. The bleeding heart plant mum got last year survived and is growing just fine.
Here is a closer picture of the cute little flowers.
Lilacs getting ready to open. Mum was sniffing at them and going AHHHH.
Our red-twigged dogwood shrubs are leafing out just fine and the one that mum transplanted to the front is looking good too.
Wild violets growing along the back fence with the ground cover. Mum says ground cover stuff is good. It helps keep the weeds down.
Trout Towne can stop reading here.

We saw a cool trifecta of fevvers this past weekend. Mr Oriole showed up, Mr Red Breasted Grosbeak visited and we saw our first hummerbird.

Hope your garden is doing well too. Love Virginger and Glimmer.

Tuesday This and That

Sheesh, it has gotten overly cool here. So no open windows for the past few days. Mum even has a light jacket on inside the house. She turned the heaty monster off a few weeks ago and says she won't turn it back on until fall.

I haven't posted this before, but I got a care package for Easter from my sweetie Dora. That means the Queen got bizzy and sent me royal mail!

Mum got chocolate so she is all happy. She loves chocolate!

Mum gives me one of these, and lets me get the whole thing, but not in one big gulp. She breaks it into smaller pieces. YUMMY!

ManCat Monday

Dynasties of cats, as numerous as the dynasties of the Pharaohs, succeed each other under my roof. - Theophile Gautier

HiYa, hope everyone had a good weekend. Mum helped out with an event that helps teens be better drivers. Mum does not teach, she chases after pylons when the cars hit them. All the students did good. They even got TV time! ( The video link is now working ). Mum is not on this. Chasing pylons is not sexy TV! Blowing up air bags is!

Mum got home and then we spent the rest of the weekend together. Mum did her chores, we watched for fevvers, saw a hummer on Sunday. I sat on mum a lot and got cuddles and treats. Mum got books read.

We had a nice mum's day. We both had a bit of food treats!

Everyone have a good week.

Caturday

HiYa, happy Caturday! We are happy the weekend is here. We will have time to cuddle and chill out. Supposed to be a bit rainy now and then.

Our orinch birds showed up yesterday. Mum sat down to look outside and Mr O showed right up. Mum could see a bit of bright orinch behind the leaves on the crabby apple tree. Then he hopped down to the feeder.
Mum also got her big outside chore done on Friday when she came home. Got all the brush out by the street for the pickup.
Me, I will be mooching treets all weekend! Hope everyone has a grate day.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer. We have had some warmer days and rain, so things are growing. The trees are leafing out so that makes things so much more lovely.

However we have had one tree that was almost deaded. So mum has reluctantly decided to take it down. This is what is still left. Mum will work to get this cut down soon.

The village people will be coming around to pick up brush next week, so that part of the tree they can haul away. The big pieces are easy to haul. Tiny bits of green on the tree, but 90% was dead.
Now for some bright colorful stuff. Two-lips, two-lips, two-lips.

While it may not be Sunday, mum helped us to do selfies the other night.

Mum got out the orinch feeder for the orinch birds that come around about now. We expect to see Mr and Mrs Baltimore Oriole really soon. So far the finches are snacking here.
That is all for now. Love, Virginger and Glimmer.
