Tuesday This and That

Here is the moovie of me playing with my mousie from Caturday. Mum had to edit it down to get it small enuf so it would load.
Me and mum play like this lots on mornings when she doesn't have to go day hunt. I like it, cuz we have such a nice time together.

Plus I will get more of these days soon. Mum told them at her day hunting gig she is going to retire in July. The money man says the green paper situation is fine, she can stay home and play with me!

We had a nice weekend. It didn't rain all weekend like the weather guessers guessed. So lots of open window and time outside for mum. She finished planting the last few things, she even weeded for a bit, she hates to weed!

Caturday!

Woohoo, it is Caturday and we have a long holly-day weekend.

So you think mum would sleep in? No, she was awake early, we had nice snuggles in the sleepy spot, listened to the birdies singing as they woke up and a nice play time. Whew!

Playing with mouse, I just love my mouse, mum will toss it, then I have fun batting it around. Mum gets silly and sets it on top of my. We also have a moovie from this, but will save it for another day.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.
A close up of our bleeding heart, it looks so nice this year. Really filled out and grew well.
Baby robin sitting on the grape arbor, mum saw it early. Then when she took the bleeding heart picture, she notice it just sitting there. Its mum would come to feed it. First baby bird we have seen this year.
Leaves on the grape arbor with mini baby grapes. Mum pruned the thing, but she needs to cut more out. She thinks it is slowing dying.
Our nice green grass in the back yard, nice for walking bare foot!
Do you see what we see here? Sort of hiding behind the rock and feeder pole?
Yep, a bun come to visit and find a few nibbles. Mum does put out special foods, they eat her plants and even sometimes eat the weeds! Mum says the buns can have all the weeds they want.

That is all for this week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

HiYa, Happy Tuesday evening.

Another nice day here. A few rain drops and rumbles of thunder, otherwise nothing major.
Me enjoying the sun we had early in the day. Mum has been coming home from day hunting and taking it easy. Says the day hunting gig is driving her crazy. So when she gets home, she is just chilling. I purr on her to make her feel better.

ManCat Monday

When your cat rubs the side of its face along your leg, it's affectionately marking you with its scent, identifying you as its private property, saying, in effect, 'You belong to me'. - Susan McDonough, D.M.V.

Yeah, mum is mine. I make sure I mark her often so she doesn't forget!

We had a marvvy weekend. It was all nice and warms, mum opened all the windows and doors wide open to let the fresh airs in. She sat outside in the shade yesterday, reading her book, relaxing. I was just inside, napping, but still enjoying the day. Mum says this was such a relaxing weekend, she hates to go back to day hunting.
Me sitting behind mum on the couch. I may look asleep, but ready to bug mum when the time is right for treats or play time.

Sending lots of love to my fellow ginger Billy Sweetfeets Norton Gingersnap. He has cancer which is such an ugly disease. Billy was a favorite of Derby's. Derby taught Billy how to drink adult beverages and walk on the ceiling.

Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday.

Me and mum got going today with our usual long cuddle in the sleepy spot. I just lay in the crook of her arm, all stretched out. We nap together, just feeling the good vibes between us.

Then we even had a nice sit in the fevver watching chair. We saw our first hummer of the year at the feeder. Mum knows they have been around as the feeder gets emptied, but we hadn't actually seen one.

Then mum went out and pulled weeds. Things do look much nicer now, you can see the real flowers. Took out most of that white stuff the girls showed you on Garden Thursday.

Gotta run, I see she pulled out the sucking monster! Happy weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

It has been a cool spring, including a few snow flakes on Caturday, sheesh. Mum had been keeping the plants she bought a week ago in the metal monster room to keep them from being nipped by frost. Finally, last night she pulled them out and planted them.
She got her usual bunch of impatients, filled up the big planter, two planters that hang from the front railing. She even added a sweet potato vine.
Two planters like this one. Right now they are all out front, the easiest place to keep them while mum has to water them. She can move them where ever she wants.

The lilacs are blooming and they smell so nice. The purple one was just planted last year, but it is blooming fine, even if it is only knee high on mum. The white one is in the back.
Our crabby apple tree, in full bloom. It is so purrty, but it is already starting to give us a little bit of pink confetti.
Sunday mum got a pic out of the sleepy room window. Mr Oriole sitting so nicely in our crabby apple tree. Bright colors to make us smile.
The bleeding heart, got lots of blooms on it and is all bushy, so it must like where it is. This is a plant mum likes.
Below is weeds. We have lots of them this year, mum has to figure out what these are and then get rid of them. She pulls what she can and tries not to use weed killer, but sometimes she has to.

That is all for this week, thanks for stopping by. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

OK, finally got mum amused enuf to let me get a post in. She has been looking at pictures of her new grand niece. Her name is Adora Elizabeth and she arrived yesterday.
Here are the older two kids, the new mum is just off to the right! Cute kids!
So this nice blankie is waiting to keep that little girl all wrapped up and warm.
Me, checking out all the pictures on the puter. Nice to get pictures of the new family.

ManCat Monday

Cats do care. For example, they know instinctively what time we have to be at work in the morning; and they wake us up twenty minutes before the alarm goes off. - Michael Nelson

TeeHee, yes we do. We come sit on your head, sit on your full bladder, play THoE using your backside as a pivot point! Just to make sure you don't get your full sleeps.

Mum does have to go back to day hunt today. She took Thursday and Friday off, did lots of stuff, off buying things, seeing some of her furiends at lunch. Back to reality today mum.
I did a good one on mum last night. She had just settled in to watch the moving picture box. She had her jammies and robe on. I jumped up behind her on the couch and, YAK'd up a little bit! Yes I did. I got it mainly on the throw on the couch, but managed to get her robe a bit too. Not so much that she had to wash it in the washy machine right away. She could blot it up and wash it later.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Caturday

It is about time! Mum took off a bit early and spent the day chasing pylon cones. The weekend she does this so kids learn to drive better. Not a good day for those who had to be outside, windy, cloudy and temps over 42F (5C).
Me? Spent my day staying warm and snug at home. Mum was happy to get home, warm mug of tea and me!

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

It was brush pick up time this week. Mum got all of the stuff moved away from the house on Sunday.
To sit out by the road for pickup. They finally picked it all up yesterday. Mum didn't get home until late, so no pics of the pile being gone. She did have enuf time to take a couple of swipes with the grass eater to even out the grass.
Our lovely creeping phlox. Mum just loves this as it reminds her of her Grammie. She always had this in her garden to make it look nice and purrty.
Some of the red tulips and the neat patterns inside of them. Mum didn't see any bumbly bees inside, maybe they were somewhere else.
Our little lilac that mum planted last year, just beginning to flower. Mum is happy it survived.
A few more two-lip picturs as well. These are the guys that are showing up in the middle of the grass that mum planted. So for now she mows around them!
Thanks for visiting, Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

Deary rainy day today. I did lots of napping. I sent mum off to day hunt and snuggled on in. Listened to the pitter-patter of the rain on the roof.
Otherwise not much else going on. You can see me in front of the heaty pad over the weekend. It is so nice to have this one. Mum makes sure it is off before she leaves the house. Her hip is still a bit wonky, bothers her most getting out of bed. Maybe you should just stay home and in bed mum, that would do the trick! She says she better not, she needs to keep her day hunting gig a bit longer. Once she gets moving she is OK!

Otherwise, not much going on!

ManCat Monday

People who love cats have some of the biggest hearts around. - Susan Easterly

Happy Monday!

Me and mum had a nice weekend. Thanks to those who stopped by for our Derby Day party and amembered my late, grate brofur Derby.

Me hanging out an sitting on mum. We had a quiet Sunday together. Lots of cuddles, treats and just having a nice time together.
Although I can only take so much togetherness. Mum was not good at sitting still over the weekend. She said she had a wonky hip muscle, but that meant she brought out the heaty pad. She would get up and I would move in! I love the heaty pad.

I also had to rev up my purrer. Mum found out that our neighbor, Chuck, went to heaven on Friday. He had nasty blood cancer, leukemia, mum calls it. Comforting purrs to all of the family. He was a good egg, he would offer to do stuff with the trees and never ask for payment, or even let mum by him some adult beverages to enjoy.

Caturday - Derby Day

HiYa, glad you could all stop in for the Derby Day party. A day to watch horsies run fast and amember my brofur Derby.

It was on this very day, Caturday May 7, 2005 that mum gotcha'd Derby from the shelter.  They had lots of good years together, sadly Derby left us in December 2014.
So we have lots of roses, foods and good drinks. Be prepared to party and watch the horsies run. Mum will have the moving picture box on and have the early races on as well as the Derby itself.

Enjoy the buffet and drinks. Amember kittens, only water or milk for you. Us older cats can have various flavors of Nip-tini's or Meowgarita's.

If you are brave, trip a nip julep! They are strong, so know your limits!

Enjoy everyone!
