Tuesday This and That

Gotta be quick on this. Mum needs my purrs, she is home late, too much day hunting today. Now her head hurts!

Mum did find a picture of the accident on Sunday. No one seriously hurt, thank goodness. The trailer on the left and the reddish pulling vehicle on the right.
Time to go rev up my purrs. Here I come mum.

ManCat Monday

A cat determined not to be found can fold itself up like a pocket handkerchief if it wants to. - Dr. Louis J. Camuti

What a weekend! I had the house to myself, along with all of you who stopped in to remember Derby or to cellybrate my purrthday.

I will spend the day napping and dreaming of good times.

Mum was off playing with racy cars. The event was uneventful, but on the drive home she saw a big SUV off on the side of the interstate rolled over and what looked like a travel trailer it probably was pulling off and turned over too. Purrs that no one was hurt seriously. Mum said she couldn't remember seeing that many emergency vehicles in one place in ages. But it is a trick spot, coming down a longer steep hill, the road was wet and the speed limit is now 70. Mum wonders if they just lost control.

Sunday Selfie on My Purrthday

Welcome everyone! Today is my purrthday. I am a whole 7 years old now. I still feel and sometimes act like a kitten.

This is one of the firsted pictures mum took of me once she gotcha'd me. It is one of her favorites, shows off my purrty goldlen eyes and soft orinch fur.

We are going to party all day, so feel free to stop in when you can. Go other places if you need to and come on back. .

We can check out the house and even outside the house. Maybe we can check out the trail, although we have to watch for woofies and bicycles!

Feel free to mingle with the gang and be sure to help yourself to the goodies on the buffay table, food, drinks and nip cake!

Thanks for stopping by and cellybrating with me!

Angel Derby - Gone 6 Months

Six months ago Derby left us. We miss the guy and thought we would share a few pics of him from his early times with mum.

While we may be looking back to day, tomorrow we will look forward and cellybrate Ducky's purrthday.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday.

Hope all of you are well, we are doing OK, in spite of the fact we had some nasty storms. We didn't get much rain, but it was furry windy. No damage, only a few clumps of leaves off the trees.

Our trumpet vine that is all deaded this year, well one of the new off shoots is climbing up to take its place. That is exactly what mum was hoping for. Come fall she will cut the old woody stuff away and just leave the new one to take over.
Last summer when the neighbor help out with tearing out all the old junky shrubs, mum knew that the little rose bush would probably go away.
She was wrong, that rose is a hardy little thing, it may have been cut off on top, but the roots are still there and putting out flowers!
With more flowers to come! Isn't nature grate! It survives in spite of us!
That is all for this week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

ALERT: It is Ducky's purrthday on Sunday June 28. Stop on over to cellybrate!

Tueday This and That

My pod has been re-assembled. The back part looks a bit wonky, mum can't get the stuffing to sit like she thinks it should.
All the parts, the cover, the round base stuffing and the long back stuffing.
Mum fussed with it and smooshed things around, this is how she left it.
She put it back where it normally sits, but.......
I haven't decided to sit on it just yet! That will show her.

Plus her cousin called and her hubby is having back problems, so now they aren't coming to visit on Friday. All that cleaning for nothing! Mum said it had to be done anyway.

We had a nice evening, mum sat outside in the nice fresh air, the windows are open and things are good.

ManCat Monday

Cleanliness in the cat world is usually a virtue put above godliness. - Carl Van Vechten

Except when that cleanliness gets into mum. She went and washed all of my bed, throws, Gizzy quilts, EVERYTHING yesterday. What is a poor cat to do.

Leopard pillow from the table, GONE!

I was just sitting and watching outside so nice, but I got up to get a quick bite of food. Mum snuck in and took the stuffings out.

The Gizzy quilts and one of the cat throws, all washed and ready for the dryer.
Next load in the washer. Somewhere at the bottom is the pod cover. Mum even washed some of this stuff twice trying to get as much fur off as possible. Even running it through the dryer so the lint filter would pick stuff up.
Sheesh, with all this cleaning you think mum was getting company. Oh, she is expecting visitors later this week. So that would explain the washing, extra dusting, extra vacuuming, etc. etc. etc. All weekend long.

Our purrs worked, mum's furiend Miss Lynn is home mum went to pick her up on Caturday afternoon. She got to the hospital by ambulance! Ya can't drive yourself when you are sick!
Guess this was the safest place to be yesterday. Mum can't wash the tower! Have a good week everyone.

Sunday Selfie - Father's Day

Happy Sunday and well, this is a full frontal selfie, MOL! Part of the Cat on my Head groups selfies.
Our purrs worked, Miss Lynn is home from the hospital. Her tummy issues settled down. Mum had to go and bring her home, since she got there by bamulance in the middle of the night.

Happy Father's Day to the Dad's out there. Guess for me that is mum, since she gets to do all the mom and dad stuff here.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday! I got lots of cuddles this AM already and am diving mum nuts playing zoomies from one end of the house to the other.
Doing my morning purrs and paws on Mr Bear in bed with mum. We need extra purrs for mum's furiend Miss Lynn. Seems a tummy bug got her bad and she is in the hospital!
Might as well flick my tail in mum's face and give her a tickle or two. Which also help get her out of bed. So she has her big chore of the day done. Weeds hauled off to the compost pile.
Now we can do other stuff! Happy weekend.

International Box Day

Yeah, get your boxes ready and go! Go nap, go play, go whatever you want to do in your box.
Empty box, not for long. Me below checking it out. It was the box our tower came it so it was a good size box for playing in. At least while mum let it stay in the house. Everything gets recycled around here.
