Garden Thursday

Now that it cooled off mum is working outside. She is starting the process of cutting down all the plants that need to get cut off, hauling the stuff off to the compost pile. Starting early and taking her time. The flowers are done blooming, so time for them to go.

Plus today is the last day of the month so that brings up a new month. Our favorite month of the year here. It is TOCK-Tober!

Angel Derby celly-brating his month!

Me giving you the hint of what we are looking for this coming months. Show us your Tocks!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Cats come and go without ever leaving. - Martha Curtis

I suppose that is true. I enter and leave the room and mum isn't aware at all. Sometimes I just appear by her side, jumping upon the chair next to her.

Mum figures I am back to normal eating now. Back to my usual self, wanting to cuddle with mum, mooching foods from her as well. I clean out my bowl of gooshy foods and the chick-hen bits too.

Sitting with mum during the feetsball game and then spying on her from the tower!
Yes I will hold down your yarns while you work on the crow-shay. You made good progress tonight!

Sports Report

Lots more than feetsball happening around here this past weekend, so here is the update.

The Pack -played in prime time on Sunday night and managed to look pretty good. They got off to a good start in the first half and managed to have a chance to win it in the last three seconds after letting the other guys catch up and be ahead by one point. Our wonderful kicker made a 51 yard field goal as the time ran out. Yipee!

The Brewers - our local baseball team won all three games this weekend and by doing go will finish first in the National League Central Division. They clinched a playoff berth a week ago, but by finishing first they get a better playoff setup. At the end of the game they had confetti and streamers being set off all over the field. In the locker room they were spraying each other with champagne

The Golf Gang - the US gang beat the group from over the pond. They played hard and won more points that have been won by the team in ages.

While we are at the end of the month of September the weather is marvy and the windows are wide open around here. I like that.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday. I think I can report that things are pretty much back to normal with my eating and such. I have been liking all the chick-hen I have been getting. Mum puts some in my bowl then covers it with my regular gooshy foods. So that means I have to eat through the regular stuff to get to the chick-hen.

Mum has been doing the crow-shay. Above you can see the start of a new blankie. She gave herself a day off after finishing the first one of the season that you can see below. Nice fall colors mum.

Mum was checking one of the local shelters the other night. No she is not thinking of getting me a fursib, but it appears she is up for adoption! MOL.

Mum will be a bit bizzy today. She has to get foods and then even off the grass in the back yard. Neither of those things will take her long so then she can come and snuggle with me.

Plus me and mum want to wish Happy Purrthday to Grampie in heaven.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Thankful Thursday

Hello everyone! I and mum are both very thankful that I am feeling better. I am eating and stuff is coming out the other end too! Thank you for all the purrs and prayers that you sent along. We appreciate them.

Mum is mixing in chick-hen she roasted with my regular gooshy foods. Plus I am eating a few crunchies here and there. So I guess things are back to normal but mum says she won't be roasting me chick-hen all the time. Just enuf to get me back on track.

Me the other night sitting on mum's lap. I wasn't doing that when my tummeh wasn't feeling good. I was helping keep mum's lap warm while she crow-shayed and watched the feetsball game. It was a good game night as The Pack won!

The crow-shay, she finished that blankie above on Wednesday. She watched a lot of the moving picture box this week. Lots of time on the boxer Ali, the Packer game and various shows coming back to the moving picture box with new shows.

Fall has arrived along with cooler weather, but that does mean open windows here!

Parting Gifts

Hey gang! I am feeling much better, I am eating more too! Mum is happy about that.

I got a gift bag when we visited the stabby lady on Sunday. Oh, mum says it wasn't a gift, she had to pay for what was inside. OK, so more of a parting bag of stuff!

The top little box is a cream that mum is putting in my ears! It is an appetite stimulant stuff. I think it is working!

The food was a suggestion since I had shown some interest at the stabby place. Mum can return it if I don't eat it. Well mum gave me some chick-hen she had roasted on Caturday night. She also had it in some broth in the fridge. So when she gets some out it is nice and moist. Then she zaps it for just a few seconds in the micro-zapper thingy so it isn't cold.

Tasty stuff and I know she has more in the big cold box to make more. Plus I have been eating some of my regular gooshy foods too.

So I am resting, eating and hanging out with mum. Thanks for all your purrs. I am improving!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Nominative, cat. Vocative, puss. - Archbishop Whately

I refuse to be a part of the grammar police. Whatever I am, I am.

Yeah, I had my adventure. While my vet has urgent care hours on Sunday they are by appointment. You can't just show up. Mum didn't know that, so she started driving there and called them to be told that they could see me over an hour from when she called. So we came back home and mum left me in the carrier! She didn't want me to run off and hide.

So the reason mum took me is that I haven't been eating much for the past 3-4 days and not much of anything the past two. Of course mum assumes the worst. She couldn't even tempt me with tuna!

So we got there for our time slot and went into the room right away. They weighed me and I have lost weight again. Down to 6 pounds 15 ounces! So they took me back to the treatment room and stole some of my bloods to test, my pee too. Mum came prepared for a wait, she brought a book along to read while she waited.

So, nothing wrong inside like mum would think. No blockages, lumps and such that shouldn't be there. So the stabby lady said she thought I would need is some fluids, anti-nausea stuff, so that is what I got. They also sent home an appetite stimulant and some foods they tempted me with and I seemed to sort of be interested in.

So we got home and mum let me out of the carrier. I went into the kitch-hen and chowed down on the chick-hen mum had cooked for me last night. I ate it all up and then she put out some more for me! During the evening I ate that too. Once that was gone, more gooshy foods came out.

Plus after I got home I did just wander around the house. I didn't head to my cat cup to sleep like I  had been doing most of the time. So mum thinks that is good too. Mum says she will be really happy when she sees that I produced some output too! MOL.

Thanks for all your purrs, mum is just being super careful with me.

Feetsball Report

The Pack doesn't play until tonight. Mum didn't watch any of the Sunday games. She did watch the first part of the show on Ali!

Meow Like a Pirate!

Happy Pirate Day. I shall be sailing off really soon to a new adventure. Mum says it is someplace I have never been. I wonder what treasure awaits.!

Mum Update: I am going to take Ducky to the emergency vet this AM. He is drinking and peeing, but not eating and pooping. He just seems too quiet as well, sleeping in his heated bed for most of the day and night!

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here! Well, we had one more warmish day and now it is cooler again today. Which means lots of open windows for me! So more of this, napping on the tower.

Mum is off to help at the teen driving thingy for the day. She gets to say go this year. No chasing traffic cones for her!

Have a grate weekend!

Thursday, Late Again!

::sigh:: Mum forgot again last evening to help with my post. She crawled off to her sleepy spot early and never even though of it. Even after I climbed all over her. What is a cat to do!

Well, I can have some nice long naps. I like being on the tower to nap during the summer. Plus you can see the wide open window behind me. The really hots seem to have gone but we still get some nice warmer days.

Mum has started on her newest crochet blankie. Nice colors for fall and nice colors to go with a ginger kittie! Mum says the color name is Cinnamon.

She finished on all the hats. You saw the kiddie sized  hats on Monday. Well, here are the bigger head hats. Mum dumped them out on the floor, then started to make piles of 5 to make them easy to count. Hmmm, 20 piles of 5, plus 1. Holy, smoley mum. That is one hundred and one hats! As you can see I was snoopervising the operation. That will make for a lot of warm heads this winter.

Oh and remember, cleaning is good for  us!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Slowly, with a look of intense concentration, he got up and advanced on me ... put out a front paw, and stroked my cheek as I used to stoke his chops. A human caress from a cat. I felt very meagre and ill-educated that I could not purr. - Sylvia Townsend Werner

Mum can't purr either, but she does snore sometimes! MOL.

Me sitting on the back of mum's chair. Gotta keep an eye on her. You can see her shoulder here, she was still in her jammies at nearly lunch time the other day.

Mum worked on her crow-shay and says she is now done with making hats. The above pic shows the hats she made withe some of the odds and ends of her yarns. Plus some from of the extra stuff she got just to make hats. These are the kiddie size hats. Mum counted and there are 53 of these hats. She hasn't counted the adult hats yet.

Feetsball Report

Yep, it is that time of the year again. Mum didn't watch all day, but she also watched the baseball game.

The Pack -  PEEEE YOU! They lost bad, really stunk up the joint. Thank goodness they were playing in an outside stadium so the stink has somewhere to go. They were supposed to play inside but the game got moved cuz of the hurry-cane a few weeks ago.

Heck the whole North division lost their first games yesterday. Gonna be a long year!

Have a good week everyone!

Caturday - Patriot Day

 Always Remember

Never Forget

This is a little memorial not far from where we live. Replicas of the towers and a beam from one of the towers.

Mum said it was a scary and sad day.Lots of tears too. Sending comforting purrs to all who need them today.

Mo' Cats Day

Back in the early days of the cats on the blogosphere some dude said there should be a no cats day. Pfft. At least that is what Derby said, not NO CATS but MO CATS. So today we have to have MO CATS on our innerwebs today. Mum looked it up and it started way back in 2009!

So lots of pics of me and Derby!

That is it for today gang. Derby gets the last laff!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Most people with cats, know they are being controlled. That's the horror of it...

I have been trying to mind meld mum. I sleep on top of her head. I drape myself across the top and put my face right on her face. Sometimes I even curl my tail back across her ears. I will control her. MOL!

We had a beauty of a day on Sunday. Me and mum just chilled and enjoyed it.

Happy Monday everyone.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday. Plus those of you who still have working beans they will get Monday off! More time for them to stay home and cater to your every need.

Mum cooked! Since it isn't so hot anymore mum made herself some soup and cornbread. Yummy stuff she says.

Fine, you cook for yourself. Just don't forget to put out my steady supply of gooshy foods. My crunchies too!

So everyone have a safe weekend.
