Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Not much color in the gardens, well, except green. Green is good! We expect flowers in the next few days.
The one above is one of our newer day lilies. It didn't bloom last year, but look at all those flower buds! This is one of two flower stalks. Below is the one that mum thinks will bloom first and probably before next week on Thursday.

The cone flower out in front has flower buds too. Trooper is keeping close watch on everything. Even the hosta's are about ready to bloom.
Glimmer, you are laying down on the job! Plus you are laying on one of the new plants. Get up on your feet lady!
Sorry, I try to run a tight organization here. Glimmer does get off balance often and down she goes! Well, that is it for this week and even this month! Tomorrow is July.

Love Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

ManCat Monday

Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a function. - Garrison Keillor

Yeah, sometimes we just are here. OK, today you are getting a two-fer. I decided, that since tomorrow is my purrthday, we will start partying today! Yeah!

First a report on Caturday. Mum had a wonderful time meeting the Katnip Lounge's mum. They talked, talked, ate some, talked some more. Mum said she had a smile on her face all the way home they had such a nice time. Come back and visit again!
Plus she gave mum a bag of Catio Chips for me! Oh gee, wow. Thanks. They are a bit different. I am used to real, live, dead, freshly cooked chick-hen. So this dehydrated stuff is different. I did eat it. I just took my time. But I will share it with all of you.

Tuesday is my purrthday. I am a whole 8 years old now. I still feel and sometimes act like a kitten. I love to play, pounce on my mousies and just enjoy life.

This is one of the firsted pictures mum took of me once she gotcha'd me. It is one of her favorites, shows off my purrty golden eyes and soft orinch fur.

We are going to party all day and tomorrow too. Maybe even hang on until Wednesday, so feel free to stop in when you can. Go other places if you need to and come on back. .

We can check out the house and even outside the house. Maybe we can check out the trail, although we have to watch for woofies and bicycles!

Feel free to mingle with the gang and be sure to help yourself to the goodies on the buffay table, food, drinks and nip cake!

Thanks for stopping by and cellybrating with me!

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy weekend! Me and mum slept in today. She really needed some extra sleeps, a couple of nights this past week she didn't sleep well and needed my extra purrs to make her fall asleep.
You know we cats are expurrsts at sleeping, so I needed to get her to relax, turn off her brain and just let go. She woke up this morning me me laying on the pillow wrapped around her head! I will purr those silly thoughts out of your head that keeps you awake.

So she is all refreshed. She has taken care of cleaning off the mess on her desk and paying all the needed bills. Then she is going on an adventure later, she is meeting up with Katnip Lounge's mum for lunch! If you hear of unrest and craziness from Lake Geneva, blame those two!

Otherwise, I am going to relax and nap. Maybe when mum comes home she can nap with me some more.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Things are kind of quiet in the garden these days. The spring stuff is all bloomed out, the early summer stuff is just about over too. Mum spied one or two remaining pee-o-knee blooms, but they are about done.

So now what? Well we wait until the summer stuff starts to bloom. We can tell the day-lilies have flower buds coming, so they will be here soon.

Last year mum took down most of the tree that was almost deaded. She left the trunk part and a couple of weeks ago, the naybor came over with a chain saw and chopped off the upper half. You can see the pictures back here.

The mum got this fancy thing out of the metal monster room, she call it an amalarry. No, mum says that is not quite right, amillary. Fancy thing for time and stuff. Mum isn't going to worry about that, she just thought it looked coo and bought it.
She bought it when she first moved in here, and finally got a place to put it. I thinks she has other stuff she bought that belongs out here too. She can get that stuff out here once she goes through the house and finds it!
So that is all for this week. Happy gardening. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

Its about time I got to do my post tonight. Mum has been bizzy doing stuff outside and running a few errands. Including bringing home 4 big bags (40 pounds per bag) of salt! Need that stuff for the water softener. Mum says we are good for a year. Plus she used the grass eater outside tonight.
Then she went outside to sit, almost falling asleep. Nice night, mum say she needs a bed to nap in outside!

ManCat Monday

By associating with the cat, one only risks becoming richer.  - Colette

That means mum is rich, she hangs out with me! Maybe that is why she gets to retire in another month! Yipee.

We had a nice weekend. Mum did lots of chores at home, she really cleaned her sleepy room really well. Moved stuff so she could clean behind things, or dust under things. So now I have to fur it all up again. MOL.
Me checking out the ticky-tock clock. There is a shiny, silver thing that mum uses once a week on it. I love to get up here and paw it to the floor. Then she comes and has to find it before she can get it all wound up. HEHEHE. Gotta keep mum guessing.

Mum did grill out last night, she did chick-hen and shared like she is supposed to. I have got her well trained. I think I spied some beast getting all thawed out, so mayby some grilled beast tonight. YUM!

Have a good week everyone.

Caturday - International Box Day

HiYa, Happy Caturday! Wonderful day here. Bright and sunny, so my sun puddles should be making there way to my front window really soon.

Mum and I had our usual cuddle and play time. Now she is up, we had our brekkie's and she has started on the washing routine for the weekend.
Me in my favorite box. Mum got this last fall and I like it. I actually go in it a lot and as you can see from the flap edge, I use it to sharpen my paws on it. Sometimes I ignore boxes, then mum just recycles them. This one I use, so mum has let it stay.
TBT and Mark's Mews, yeah, mum knows she will wake up early some days. But to her if the alarm does not go off, then she doesn't have to really get going until she wants to. That is her take on it. Today she was wide awake before 6 AM, but we just cuddled. Then she got up to read the paper, start the laundry and get us on line. No stress, no rush. Just doing what you want, when you want to do it.

Happy weekend all.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Another week and it is Thursday already! Mum says five weeks from today she will be a free woman! Didn't know she wasn't free!
Our Impatients are growing just fine. We have had lots of rain, had over two inches the other night! So stuff is green and growing. Mum says the grass is beginning to slow down a bit with the growing!
Hey Trooper, she is out front keeping an eye on things. She reports mum needs to get at some weeds. Plus the day lilies are starting to show flower buds!
The last few of the pee-o-knees. Mum cut some from the plants and took them into work to enjoy. Says they make a nice smell. But with the rain, most of the flowers are looking past their prime.
That is all for this week. Love ya all. Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

HiYa, Ducky here. Nice night. Mum came home and opened windows, did a few errands and came home and opened more windows. Nice breezes coming in for us.

So what did mum get on her errands? Something for me. Guess I will have foods for a long time!

Mancat Monday

When a cat adopts you, there is nothing to be done about it except to put up with it and wait until the wind changes. T.S. Eliot

I am sure hoping, plus mum is thinking the same, that the wind doesn't change either!

Our hots are over, so mum has the windows back open. Makes for much better sleeping!

Sending our purrs, prayers and love to all of those who were affected by the nasty persons in Orlando.

Saturday, June 11, 2016

HiYa, Happy weekend! The hots are here for a few days, so we have had rumble storms and such. Nothing bad, just can make sleeping and napping a bit hard to do.

So me and mum are going to take it easy. I will nap and look cute! Mum will save her chores for Sunday when it is supposed to be a bit cooler.

Happy Weekend All!

Meezer Colors - Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

This will be a short post, mum had pictures on her phone, but when she hooks the phone to the puter, it the pictures don't show up. They show up if she looks at them on her phone. So she is bummed. Had some nice pics! Maybe they will show up later.

Sheesh, mum is forgetful, she had already transferred the photos. Mum, you need more sleeps!

The pee-o-knees are blooming, the poppy is blooming, our climbing rose is blooming. Mum is letting us sit out in the plants, not just on the patio. Nice.

We would like to wish all of our meezer furiends, Happy Meezer Colors Day.

That's it! Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

Not much happening. It got cool today, but mum came home and opened the windows anyway. Says we need our fresh airs, both of us! Well, she got lots, she went out and used the grass eating monster. The girls do a grate job outside, everything looks super.
My usual place behind mum these evening. She either is on the puter or reading if she is inside. Lots of evenings she sits outside until it gets all dark.

ManCat Monday

Cats are the connoisseurs of comfort. - James Herriot

Yep, we will always find the comfy spot and make it our own. Someones lap, a comfy blankie, a soft bed.

Me and mum had a nice weekend. Weather guessers did ok for the most part, although we got sudden showers on both Caturday and Sunday evenings. That meant mum couldn't sit outside after dinner. But no storms, so that meant the windows remained open for fresh airs.

Speaking of fresh airs, one night this last week mum went to her sleepy spot and forgots to close the big windows that go to the floor. She amembered after she got in the sleepy spot, got up and closed the door. Then Caturday night she forgot to close the front window, but didn't remember, so I had that lovely window open all night! Mum, don't be so forgetful! She is thinking that it is because it is finally nice enuf to have all this stuff open, she isn't used to making sure it is all closed at night.

Have a good week everyone.

Saturday, June 4, 2016

HiYa Ducky here. It's Hug Your Cat Day. I have been hugged, cuddled, played with and just overall loved already today. Typical Caturday morning for me and mum. She slept in a bit today, that was good.
Yep, another morning of me, mum and mouse in the sleepy spot. Lots of fun for us. Now mum has to get ready for her out of the house chores.

Miss Megan don't worry, me and mum already have a system worked out for days when she is home. We have our time together, then we both have other things to do. So she does her stuff, I do mine. Then later we get back together for more stuff with both of us. I have no doubt that we will have a successful retirement!

Happy Caturday, enjoy.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Our feature plant of the week are the ally-ums. They are purrty purple flowers, sort of spikey like balls. They are related to the garlic family of plants. Sometimes we get some that are a bit white than purple, but we like them anyway.
Chip the monk has shown up in the past week. Hadn't seen him around, he was waiting for mum not to be looking, then waltz right on by her on the patio!
Our favorite mancat, Ducky, enjoying the big doors being open and getting lots of fresh airs. We can have a nice cat with him and catch up on all the inside news.
Our tree, all bright green and leafed out. Yeah, spring is here, we like it. Mum says the farmer fields are growing too. The corn and soybeans are growing!
That is all for this week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.
