Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer.
Glimmer, get up! Quite laying around on the job, we have lots to snoopervise at this time of year!
Leaves starting to open up on the crabby apple tree, soon the pink blossoms will come.
The front with hiya-sinths and a few white tulips.
Red tulips getting ready to be open!
Hosta plants just getting their noses out of the ground. Mum is checking to see what survived from what she planted last year. Most of it did, so that is good.
Mr Moon peeking through the tree branches, soon we will have leaves all the way out. Some of the trees are showing a bit of green.

Stop by on Caturday, Ducky will host our Derby Day party. Yeah, the big guy is gone, but we party on!

That is all for this week. Love, Virginger and Glimmer.

Who could believe such pleasure from a wee ball o' fur? - Irish Saying

Ah, yes, we are just "wee ball o'fur". It was four months ago that Derby ranned off to The Bridge. We miss the big guy, although mum says she doesn't miss his yak piles.

Caturday

Happy weekend. This will be spent cuddling. The weather is icky, cold and wet. I will be spending my napping and staying warm.
Sitting in front of the heaty spot may be a good option this weekend too.
Happy weekend gang.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday. Last week we thought spring was here, but this week we have had cold and snow showers. Sheesh, enuf with the snow, even it it doesn't stick.
Back garden, the daylillies are up and growing, the daffs and tulips up and a few are blooming too.

One of the pee-o-knees sticking new shoots up.
The ornamental thistle starting to grow too.
The lilac leafing out and with a mini-flower bud of blooms to come.
Naked ladies, at least that is what the naybor lady calls them. Mum says they are a type of lilly.

That is all, stay warm gang. Love Virginger and Glimmer.

Tuesday This and That

HiYa, Ducky here. Hope all is well. Mum just got home from eating out with a furiend, she didn't even bring a box home for me to smell. Sheesh, you mean no fishy or chick-hen for me?
That earns you the backside of disrespect lady!
Yes I prefer the rugs to be all rumpled up. This is an old moovie, so Derby makes a guest appearance.

Gaze with those bright languid segments green, and prick those velvet ears - but prithee do not stick thy latent talons in me... - John Keats

OK Mr K, we will try not to scratch you. Unless you are bad to us, then you get scratched.

Nice enough this weekend to have open windows and fresh air. Mum even keeps the window open in the sleepy spot overnight now. So I can get fresh air at night too.
Mum worked hard this weekend and she did grilled beast and I got to sample. Purrfect medium rare. She does good at this stuff.
Ayla, Iza and Marley comment on Caturday about mum washing rugs and that their's are all tacked down. This little ones are not at our house, so mum got them all washed and dried outside.
Helps keep the rug that is tacked down cleaner as she has to walk here to get from the metal monster room to the kitch-hen. You can see her collection of shoes too. Depends on what kind of walking she is going to do, which pair she takes.
So every one have a good week.

Sunday Selfie

A little fuzzy, but furry close. This is what mum saw when she woke up today too. Hey lady, get your body out of bed and get going! Well we had our Sunday snuggles first, then I got her going.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here, happy Caturday morning. Me and mum is up early. She already has a load of rugs washing, we both have had brekkie and as soon as the washing is hung out to dry, mum will be off to food shop.

We had a nice cuddle this AM in the sleepy spot, the window was open for fresh airs and I was sleeping on her legs. When I figured she was finally awake, I moved around to her head and burrowed under the covers. I got all sorts of scritches and smoochies, and just lovin' in general.

Plus she is even trying to wear me out with a play session bright and early. So I will be taking a short snooze in the sun puddles this AM.
Happy Weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday.

Spring is really here. The grass is getting all green, the temps are warmish, we are getting rain. Sometimes a lot of rain. We got 3.5 inches last week on Wednesday to Thursday. But it is good for the plants.

All things yellow this week. The daffs, four-sith-ia and all.

Oh and mum transplanted a shrub on Sunday too.It seems to be liking the spot mum moved it too and the wind didn't blow it over. Mum put down some bricks to support it as the ground was soft from the rain and her watering it.
Yes, she watered the shrub and thankfully had her mucking about foot gear on. View from the top and then the bottom. These things don't make it into the house.

Mum hosed off all the icky stuff as it was hard to walk on it or not slip too.
Other foot wasn't nearly so bad, but then she pushed down into the muck with the other foot.
Then the wood thing broked that held the big rain gauge, so mum got a pole out from storage, put it much closed to the house, not under the trees either. So she can see it better and we can too.
See how close, mum won't need her spy binocs to read it now.
That is all for this week.

Love, Virginger and Glimmer.

Kittens believe that all nature is occupied with their diversion. - F.A. Paradis de Moncrif

Kittins, smittens. We older cats can divert you as well. We play, we jump and run and look cute too.
I worked on my fur tan yesterday AM when we had lots of sun. As the day went on it got a bit cloudy. Mum worked outside and inside. Washing, she moved some stuff around outside, including a shrub.

We hopes all have a good week.

Thanks to The Cat on My Head for hosting this wonderful weekly event.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy weekend. Mum is getting ready to go out and do the chores, shopping and such. Plus some outside stuff so Virginger and Glimmer will have to keep an eye on her too.

We are sending lots of purrs and prayers to all of the peoples just south of the border in Illy-noisy. Them nasty storms got them on Thursday afternoon. One of mum's furiends lives not far away and got pictures of the storm. You could see the funnel cloud! Said it was the firsted tornado she ever saw and hopes it is the last too!

Everyone have a good weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer.

We had a bit of excitement here this past week. Not far from where we sit, the hawk got a dove! Yikes. So happy it left us alone.

This was Easter Sunday. When mum got up none of those fevvers were around. Later when she was back and looked outside, it was a mess.
You can just see Glimmer on the bench and then the mess of fevvers just off the patio.

Mum came out and let us come over and check things out with her. Sheesh, basically just a fevvers.

Some closes ups, mum did spot a couple of reddish or brown things. Not guts but a bit of flesh stuck to the fevvers and the feets too!

This is two hawk kills on our yard in the past few weeks, so Mr Hawk must think it is good hunting here.

We got rain and thunder boomers this past week. Things are growing and the grass is getting greener.

That is all for this week. Love Virginger and Glimmer.
