Happy Hollow-Weenie!

Early in the day but mum is set for the little people to come by and get candy later today. It looks like it will be an OK day with no rain.

So while the weather won't be scary, things will be scary if you don't get your beans out to vote. That is the most scariest thing. Mum voted early, so she is good to go. Vote early or go vote next Tuesday.

ManCat Monday

When I'm in the doghouse, my cats still come to visit.

Ha! I will always come and visit mum, as long as she is somewhere in the house. I won't go out to find her, I am a homebody.

Mum managed to get the sump pump working right, although a call to the plumber will be made today. The primary pump isn't kicking off, so just the backup which runs on a battery. Now Caturday the backup pump would run, but then not shut off. The switch didn't close. Mum figured out to spray the switch with WD40 and so far so go since.

We had a rainy and windy Sunday. Mum was home for all but a quick run to yet yarns so she can make more hats when she has time. She won't start on hats until after she gets her blankie done. I helped her while she worked on it during the feetsball game.

So the good thing is that the rain and wind brought down a bunch of leaves from the maple tree. Mum had this all cleaned off on Caturday! A home owners work is never done!

Sports Report

The Pack - well the looked pretty good most of the time, but they weren't able to beat the unbeaten Rams. Mum actually watch the entire game, but then she wanted to get some work on the blankie done. Watching sports on the moving picture box gives her time to crow-shay.

World Series - mum has watched bits of it, but not really complete games. She sorta hopes Boston wins since the LaLa team has a dirty player on it. Steps, kicks on people. Yep, mum watched the whole game tonight, Boston won. Woohoo!

Plus I want to send comforting purrs to all those affected by shooting in Pittsburgh, all those who had bombs sent to them. All who are affected by hate.
We can let people know we don't want hate or stoopid leaders, so don't forget to vote. Either early or on November 6. Ya gotta get your beans to vote!

Everyone have a good week. Wednesday is Hollow Weenie, I will hide from the kids!

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy weekend! Mum has been bizzy this week working outside, getting plants cut down and hauled off.

Mum works outside in the AM, then has lunch. Then she sits and reads her books. Or maybe does some chores around the house.

Mum isn't watching much of the World Series, but last week while we were watching our Brew Crew I was on mum's lap getting lots and lots of loves from here.

Mum thinks she will do some outside stuff again today. She thinks she will blow the leaves off the grass again this week.

Otherwise we will not do much this weekend, plus we will have the Packers to watch on Sunday. Hope they do good.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello from the garden. Fall is really here, we did have a freeze which made mum happy. That means the mulberry tree will start dropping its leaves. Some years we have had leaves on the tree until Thanksgiving!

So with many leaves down mum worked on Sunday to get the worst of it off the grass. She got out the blower and the tarp to move the leaves to the street. See our pile so far? Lots more maple leaves to come down.

Mum has also started the garden clean up. You can see she has the back of the motor monster filled with branches and stuff. This was from yesterday, she also did loads on Monday and Tuesday. Says she can take her time. She cuts down enuf for a full load, takes it to the compost spot, that is it for the day. She likes not having to work like a crazy person to get it done.

So you can see all of the stuff cut down, she needs to blow the leaves out, but that will come later since there are so many leaves to come down yet.

This is her problem spot. Said there were too many weeds and such. So she will need to work harder on this spot next year.

Two Weeks!

Two more weeks until election day. Ya all gotta get your beans to go and vote. It is super important, not just this year, but every year.
Mum was out doing stuff yesterday and one of her stops was to go into village hall and vote. She did the early in purrson absentee voting. Took her no more time than regular voting.

So get out there and vote, if not on election day, then do it before. It is to important not to vote.

ManCat Monday

Buy a dog a toy and it will play with it forever. Buy a cat a present and it will play with the wrapper for 10 minutes.

When mum was gone Miss Kellie bought me some new toys. I played with them for a bit, but always go back to my old tried and true fevver butt mousies. Mum found a couple of them under her sleepy spot!
Me on my front window perch watching mum come home on Friday from her lunch with her furiend. On Sunday she got her act together and worked outside. Time to get the outside all cleaned up. She moved a lot of leaves out to the street. She needs to cut down stuff and haul it off to the compost places.

Hey gang, I hope you and your beans will join in on Sunday November 4 for the Blog Blast for Peace. Mum and Derby did it for years, then I joined and me and mum continue to do this every year. You can go fancy or not. We will post some blanks below. Plus if you want to see our past ones, just look on the upper right for our pages that show our old peace globes.
Sports Report

Bummed, our Brew Crew didn't win on Caturday night, so they won't be in the World Series. It was a good season for them, so thanks guys.

The Pack had the week off.

Here are some blank peace globes for you. Hope you join in on November 4.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday.  Me and mum stayed up late last night, our Brew Crew won game 6, forcing game 7 tonight in basey-ball. We hopes you will all root, root, rout for the Brew Crew. We wanna go to the World Series.

OMC, Mum is losing it, updating that today is Angel Derby's purrthday, he would have been 15 today. So that means it is TockTober Day. So here are our tock shots.

Mum got a package the other day with stuff to wear that should keep everyone awake. More tie dye from Auntie Trish in Vegas. Mum looks good. She wore the top one yesterday to go out and have lunch with one of her friends.

This is me chillaxin' in the front window when mum came home yesterday. It was a weird day, some clouds, rain, sun, wind.
So see you tonight, watching the moving picture box with the basey-call game. Go Crew!

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to the garden. Been cool here so the growing season is about done, a bit frosty but not super hard freeze, at least not yet. Maybe soon.

Mum went off to help at the community garden. The pulled out the last of the frozen plants, mainly annuals. Purrenials they leave up.
TeeHee mum, we can see your shadow! Does that mean six more weeks until winter? That would be about December 1, so maybe so. We shall see!
This was the area that mum cleared, all mari-golds, which were still sort of blooming, but this would be the last work day, so they got pulled.
Mum can't remember what the flowers were here, but she planted a good many of them. She had sore knees after the planting day.
All f the pots and raised beds, cleared out. Mum said she asked and they grew over 200 pounds of foods to donate to the food pantry.

A few of the purrenials still up and blooming, some with seed pods that the in charge lady will get in a few weeks.
Mum had a bumbly bee on her, so she gently carried him over to these flowers. Nice and sunny with flowers so  he could find something to eat.

That is all for this week, thanks for visiting.

ManCat Monday

Once a cat has given its love, what absolute confidence, what fidelity of affection! - Theophile Gautier

Yep, I loves my mum. While she was gone, I did get a bit desperate and let my care givers a chance to pet me. Miss Kellie came to visit a couple of weeks ago, I had again gone all shy on her. I did finally let her give me a few pets, but not many.

You can see me getting my loves from mum. Heck, even as she types this for me, I am plastered next to her hip. Gotta stay close.
Amember all of those purple hats mum worked on, well she ended up making 32 before she quit, then she went on the trip, and the deadline hit for making them. But peoples at the library made a total of 558! The coordinator for Whiskerconsin said that was amazing for a first year of collecting. She thinks 558 hats is the largest collection of any of their sites. Way to go mum and everyone else.

Sports Report

The Crew - lost on Caturday, they will play in LaLa Land tonight.

The Pack - they don't play until Monday night. Mum thinks she will likely watch the basey-ball game and just check in with The Pack.

So it was a quiet sports Sunday, mum didn't watch any feetsball and only a little bit of baseball of the ALCS. She did read a bit more of her book and she cooked outside both nights too. Almost to the end of grilling season here.

Happy week.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. It is sort of frosty outside this early in the AM. Mum said it got below the majical number of 32 overnight. So our flowers have likely all frizzed up.
You can sort of see the frosting on the grass area by the road, then below you can see it on the naybors house.
Mum doesn't have the birdy bath plugged in, good thing that we didn't wake up to bird-cicles. Mum will go out and break the thin ice up in a bit.
We watched the basey-ball game last night. Our team won over the guys from LaLa Land. They will play again this afternoon.
 Everyone have a wonderful weekend.
