Two Weeks!

Two more weeks until election day. Ya all gotta get your beans to go and vote. It is super important, not just this year, but every year.
Mum was out doing stuff yesterday and one of her stops was to go into village hall and vote. She did the early in purrson absentee voting. Took her no more time than regular voting.

So get out there and vote, if not on election day, then do it before. It is to important not to vote.

ManCat Monday

Buy a dog a toy and it will play with it forever. Buy a cat a present and it will play with the wrapper for 10 minutes.

When mum was gone Miss Kellie bought me some new toys. I played with them for a bit, but always go back to my old tried and true fevver butt mousies. Mum found a couple of them under her sleepy spot!
Me on my front window perch watching mum come home on Friday from her lunch with her furiend. On Sunday she got her act together and worked outside. Time to get the outside all cleaned up. She moved a lot of leaves out to the street. She needs to cut down stuff and haul it off to the compost places.

Hey gang, I hope you and your beans will join in on Sunday November 4 for the Blog Blast for Peace. Mum and Derby did it for years, then I joined and me and mum continue to do this every year. You can go fancy or not. We will post some blanks below. Plus if you want to see our past ones, just look on the upper right for our pages that show our old peace globes.
Sports Report

Bummed, our Brew Crew didn't win on Caturday night, so they won't be in the World Series. It was a good season for them, so thanks guys.

The Pack had the week off.

Here are some blank peace globes for you. Hope you join in on November 4.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday.  Me and mum stayed up late last night, our Brew Crew won game 6, forcing game 7 tonight in basey-ball. We hopes you will all root, root, rout for the Brew Crew. We wanna go to the World Series.

OMC, Mum is losing it, updating that today is Angel Derby's purrthday, he would have been 15 today. So that means it is TockTober Day. So here are our tock shots.

Mum got a package the other day with stuff to wear that should keep everyone awake. More tie dye from Auntie Trish in Vegas. Mum looks good. She wore the top one yesterday to go out and have lunch with one of her friends.

This is me chillaxin' in the front window when mum came home yesterday. It was a weird day, some clouds, rain, sun, wind.
So see you tonight, watching the moving picture box with the basey-call game. Go Crew!

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to the garden. Been cool here so the growing season is about done, a bit frosty but not super hard freeze, at least not yet. Maybe soon.

Mum went off to help at the community garden. The pulled out the last of the frozen plants, mainly annuals. Purrenials they leave up.
TeeHee mum, we can see your shadow! Does that mean six more weeks until winter? That would be about December 1, so maybe so. We shall see!
This was the area that mum cleared, all mari-golds, which were still sort of blooming, but this would be the last work day, so they got pulled.
Mum can't remember what the flowers were here, but she planted a good many of them. She had sore knees after the planting day.
All f the pots and raised beds, cleared out. Mum said she asked and they grew over 200 pounds of foods to donate to the food pantry.

A few of the purrenials still up and blooming, some with seed pods that the in charge lady will get in a few weeks.
Mum had a bumbly bee on her, so she gently carried him over to these flowers. Nice and sunny with flowers so  he could find something to eat.

That is all for this week, thanks for visiting.

ManCat Monday

Once a cat has given its love, what absolute confidence, what fidelity of affection! - Theophile Gautier

Yep, I loves my mum. While she was gone, I did get a bit desperate and let my care givers a chance to pet me. Miss Kellie came to visit a couple of weeks ago, I had again gone all shy on her. I did finally let her give me a few pets, but not many.

You can see me getting my loves from mum. Heck, even as she types this for me, I am plastered next to her hip. Gotta stay close.
Amember all of those purple hats mum worked on, well she ended up making 32 before she quit, then she went on the trip, and the deadline hit for making them. But peoples at the library made a total of 558! The coordinator for Whiskerconsin said that was amazing for a first year of collecting. She thinks 558 hats is the largest collection of any of their sites. Way to go mum and everyone else.

Sports Report

The Crew - lost on Caturday, they will play in LaLa Land tonight.

The Pack - they don't play until Monday night. Mum thinks she will likely watch the basey-ball game and just check in with The Pack.

So it was a quiet sports Sunday, mum didn't watch any feetsball and only a little bit of baseball of the ALCS. She did read a bit more of her book and she cooked outside both nights too. Almost to the end of grilling season here.

Happy week.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. It is sort of frosty outside this early in the AM. Mum said it got below the majical number of 32 overnight. So our flowers have likely all frizzed up.
You can sort of see the frosting on the grass area by the road, then below you can see it on the naybors house.
Mum doesn't have the birdy bath plugged in, good thing that we didn't wake up to bird-cicles. Mum will go out and break the thin ice up in a bit.
We watched the basey-ball game last night. Our team won over the guys from LaLa Land. They will play again this afternoon.
 Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Garden Thursday

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. It was in the 80's yesterday, right now it is 41F. Mum shut the windows on the house to keep the warms inside.

Windy, leaves are falling from the trees like crazy. Mum says she needs to get the grass eater out and even off the grass and get the leaves chewed up.
We still have a few brave little flowers around, but they won't be here for long. It might get all frosty outside the next few mornings.

Plus a few more garden pics from mum's trip. More from Monet's water garden area.

Enjoy, stay warm.

ManCat Monday

A cat will make itself the companion of your hours of work, of loneliness, or of sadness. - Theophile Gautier

I like hanging out with mum. She has the warms this time of year when the heaty monster doesn't always run much.

Plus mum got the blog done on her trip. She called in Travels in France, lots of pictures and her telling you what happened on the trip. It is in day order, with a some days split into two since there was so much to say. So drop by and check it out. It was what mum could do to share as much as she could.

It continues to be all rainy, mum wants to get outside and work, but it is too wet to use the grass eater or even for here to do other stuff. So she works on her crow-shay and hopes she gets time outside soon.

Me, partially hiding during the feetsball game yesterday and getting some loves from mum.

Sports Report

The Pack - PEEE UUUU!  They stunk the place up, specially in the first half. No points in the first half, played icky, kicker who rarely misses, missed three in a row! Sorry that the Lions will have to fumigate the smell out of the stadium. Looks llike it will be a long, boring season for them, or at least for us to watch.

The Brew Crew - Me and mum were not happy. The only game that we can't watch cuz they put it on the MLB Network. Why? We don't know, seems stupid to put it on a special network that many don't have. But she broke down and called and got upgraded, it wasn't that much more a month. Will see what other channels on here.

So how did the team do? THEY WON!!!! Pitched a shut out and won the NLDS and are waiting to see who wins the other side as to who they will play in the NLCS.

Have a good week everyone.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday. Cloudy today and a bit rainy, so mum and me are just having a quiet morning, so quiet that she didn't get the puter on so I am just now getting my post done.

All has been kinda dull here. Thursday Miss Kellie, of of my caregivers came by to say hello. I got all shy on her, but I did let her pet me a little bit. Then she and mum went off to have lunch.
Our basey-ball team is doing well, one more win and they get to continue to the championship series. Mum will be listening or watching the game tomorrow. Me, I think I will just nap.

Enjoy your weekend.

Garden Thursday

The change of season is upon us. The trees are turning colors, the weather is cold one day, warm the next, then back to cold. Never a dull moment!
We still have some flowers in the yard blooming. It hasn't gotten that cold that everything got frozen.
A few more garden pics from mum's trip. These flowers are from the garden at Claude Monet's house at Giverney.

Enjoy, see you next week.
