Caturday

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Mum is chilling as best she can, but she did go out to eat on Turkey Day. Same furiends house as last couple of years but this year she didn't stay overnight. They had lots of people, more than normal, including three little sticky people. Mum says she has forgotten how shrill little kids are!

Four ducks done to purrfection, crispy skin, juicy meats. Mum says there was nothing left of the four duckies to bring home to us! Plus one guy went into food coma!

Friday a guy came to check out the heaty monster in the dungeon, when he was done, it actually started to get colder. The guy forgot to flip a switch back on, so he came back and made sure we could be all warm and toasty.

Mum did do some shopping, the last of the stuff we needed for our Secret Paw, foods for us, stuff on line for mum and then for her grand niece and nephew. Mum said she is done shopping with the exception of foods, for the rest of the year.

Mum says she has to get more stuff done today, like cooking stuff of soup so she has stuff to eat at home and day hunting. First she has to get her head fur cut and pick up some foods at the store.

We have just been hanging out, mum stayed up way late on Turkey night. Just goofing off on the puter. Which deprived me, Ducky, of my hours of sleeping on her overnight. I kept head butting her to wake her up more so we could snuggle too. She wasn't that happy about that!

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Tuesday Smoozeday

Keeping warm with the colds. Mum managed to get home safely yesterday from day hunting. It was snowing and all slippery. She had to detour a bit to get home cuz silly drivers ended up in the ditch. Not a good thing.

Mum says one more day hunt day, then relaxing!

ManCat Monday

You can keep a dog; but it is the cat who keeps people, because cats find humans useful domestic animals. - George Mikes

Yeah, we like having mum around. We gets our foods, loves, a warm place to live, toys, treats and everything else.

Mum made some peanut brittle on Caturday. Which allowed me, Derby, to get a few licks of butter from the pan. Mum does her best to keep me away but I did sneak few licks!
One batch done! She made three this weekend and by next weekend she will have given it all away!
Mum also did lots of work on her blankie, we both took turns snoopervisiing her work. She did most of this while she watched feetsball this weekend.
Yes mum keep working, you want to get this done soon, it is going to be sent to a purrson who needs to be wrapped in love.

Furry funny mum, I am not your yarn holder. Plus that tickles when you pull it across my head! Plus this is hard work! Gotta rest sometimes, snoopervising is hard work!
Feetsball Report

The Pack -  The beat the ViQueens. They didn't score lots, but they scored more than the other guys. That is all that counts. Next Sunday they play Millie's team, the guys named Pat.

The Broncos - Got off to a slow start but beat the Miami fish team. Peyton threw some more touchdowns.

Happy Week. Mum is happy it is a short day hunting week. Then we get a Thankful for Turkey Day.

Caturday

We got sad news that our dear buddy George of Crew's Views went to The Bridge this week. He as a grand catizen who made it all the way to 17 years young.

We was like former naybors and our mums even took a class together. Farewell dear furiend, see you sometime in the future.

We are spending a quiet weekend, mum is bizzy with some Christmouse stuff. Putting out the lights outside and starting to make peanut brittle! Yum, that means butter to lick on the pan.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday. Still way too cold around here and we had a bit of snow too. But we are going to look at a few things we didn't get a chance to let you know about earlier.

Remember mum was going to try to grow gourds? Back in July we showed that the vines were growing furry nice on the side of the house, back here. But we never got any gourds at all! The vines would grow and some flowers showed up, but nothing.

Now she also had some vines in the front and all but one of those died off. Finally as mum inspected it late in the year, she found gourds.  Tiny gourds, no bigger than her thumb.

She did some reading and these plants have boy flowers and girl flowers. The girl flowers bloom with the baby gourd there, like you see above. But they don't grow big without boy flowers. Mum says she doesn't amember seeing boy flowers at the time time as she had girl flowers. So no big gourds. We didn't even find and see these flowers until late in TockTober, so they wouldn't have even had time to grow up!

Mum will try again next year. Maybe she will have better luck.

Stay warm, love from Virginger and Glimmer.

Now You See It, Now You Don't

Mr Hawk paid us a visit on Sunday. Looking for a smaller fevver for lunch. At least what we saw he didn't get a fevver.

You may want to biggify these (clicky on the picture), the first few the hawk is facing away, then he turns and viola, you can barely see him.

Now You See Him.

 Now You Don't!

Then a woofie came by and skeered him away. Off to find his lunch somewhere else.

Mini ManCat Monday

The naming of cats is a difficult matter. It isn't just one of your holiday games. You may think at first I'm mad as a hatter. When I tell you a cat must have three different names... - T.S. Eliot

HiYa, Ducky here. Yeah, mum does call us stuff other than our official names, but I think we both have more than three names!

We had a nice weekend. We did wake up to white stuff on the ground on Sunday, but it wasn't deep. Mum went outside to clear it off the drive and patio. Otherwise she didn't go anywhere. Heard on the moving picture box that there were lots of accy-dents Caturday night.

Mum has started working on a new blankie this last weekend and she worked on it more while she watched feetsball. Says it helps keep her lap warm in the winter.
Isn't that what I am for mum? Help you keep your lap warm? OK, I guess I will keep your neck warm.

Feetsball Report

The Pack - They won. There was lots of leaping at Lambeau, both by the offense and defense. For the first time in the storied history of the franchise of The Green Bay Packers, they have scored 50 or more points in two consecutive games! Wowza. Next week we get to play the ViQueens.

The Broncos - travelled to St Louis and got rammed! They lost but Mr Peyton did throw another TD.

Have a good week gang.

Caturday

Happy Caturday one and all.

Strange happenings here this AM. A guy is walking on our roof! Mum says he is here to clean out the leaves from the gutters.

Firsted he climbed on his little ladder the threw out the worst of the leaves, then later he was up walking around on top of our heads. Even mum thought it was a bit weird.
We may have white stuff on the ground by tomorrow morning! Ack!

So that is our excitement for the day. Derby is not amused!
Have a grate weekend!
