Caturday - We Got Boxes!

Hey everyone, we made it to Caturday again. Mum slept in as she was all tired from this past week. Lots to do, even if she only went day hunting part of the week.

Boxes, we got boxes. The man in the brown shorts delivered them on Friday and mum brought them in.
Derby claiming the boxes first off, waiting for mum to open them up so we could play in them. Nice to get two boxes, so we each had a box to play in and didn't have to share.
Ahh, open boxes, but mum never caught us playing in them. We are sneaky that way!
So what did she get, hummer feeders, two new ones! She says these will be easier to fill up and clean, which is impawtant.
See how big the opening is! That way she can get in with a brush to clean the gunky stuff out so the hummers don't eat icky sugar water.
Ducky claiming mum's lap, that is better than any box!
Happy weekend, we are all just going to chill out this weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger.

Mum has been bizzy again this past week and we have new plants to show for it.
The back of mum's metal monster when she got home last Caturday from the sale.
Five of the plants went outside the kitch-hen window, they are supposed to be good for attracting butterflies!
Here are a few new ones in front. Mum added some pink catmint!, coneflowers and bee balm!
Me, hanging out in the flower bed. I like it down here with all the neat plants. Now I am going to toss this post to Glimmer in the back yard!
Hi, hi, hi, oh, umm. Yes, I am Glimmer, you might amember me from last fall when mum brought me home. I stayed inside all winter, which was good as it was so cold. Mum has now allowed me out in the back yard.
This is our purrty crabby apple tree in full bloom. Mum says she was actually around the days it was at its best. The blossoms also lasted a long time since we didn't get a lot of wind and rain.
Now the pink is falling to the ground with pink confetti.

Come back next week please! Love from us, Virginger and Glimmer.

Racy Day

Hey everyone, it is a day when cats, woofs and beans can sit around and watch racy cars all ding-dong day long.

Mum was up so she already watched the F1 race from Monaco.

We are off to the Tabby Cat Club to watch the Indy 500 and maybe party a bit too with the gang. It is open to all, so feel free to stop in!

Later on, Crash Car takes over. Hope to see you!

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. We have a holly-day weekend and for us it started early. Mum was home from day hunting so we got an extra mum day! She had to be home so the fix-it man could come and make sure our air chiller was all hooked up for when we get the bad hots!

That meant we had to stay in mum sleepy room spot for hours! Even mum thought it took a long time but we now have cold air blowing if needed.

I had a nice nap in the front window before the fix-it man arrived. Mum was working on here newsy paper.
Mum let Glimmer go outside! Plus mum took each of us outside on Thursday evening. She just scooped us up in turn and held us as we went outside. Derby was first and he did ok, but then he got all squirmy on mum, so she brought him in. Then my turn. I was really quiet, but then started to meow! Mum knows when I do that I don't feel comfortable. I squeek and chirp when I am happy. So once the meows came out, mum brought me back inside.
Mum cooked outside, so we got some roast beast!
Derby chilling in the kitch-hen window while mum ate. Me checking out the goodies on mum's plate, wishing I could steal it all! No such luck!
We hopes you all have a safe weekend! Mum is getting ready to go plant shopping!

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger. Some of you might have seen this on Sunday or Monday. Mum screwed up and didn't set the date right! Hard to get good help.

The boys tried to snoopervise mum last Caturday, while they may look alert now, just a few minutes ago they were snoozing, not snoopervising.

Mum's first chore was to make up a nice storage box, easy to do, just snapped together. Mum will keep some of the extra outside stuff in it.

Mum bought a bigger bush for the front, it will get all nice and red in the fall and won't grow super big.
Then mum took the hosta's that survived the destruction outside but were all clustered in one spot. So she dug them up and spaced them all out.

Once she put the mulch all down it looks prety good.
Plus a new bleeding heart and two different colors of butterfly bushes.
Thanks for stopping by and see you next week.

Love, Virginger.

ManCat Monday

If you want to know the character of a man, find out what his cat thinks of him.

Mum stayed home all weekend with us! First time in weeks. It was nice having mum around. She did her planting on Caturday morning

This was nice and we snoopervised mum doing her best planting things.
We had a nice visit with Virginger too. She does keep mum on task.
It was nice on Sunday too. While mum did more chores, we also had the time to sit on the tower and watch what was happening outside.
We had lots of open windows as well. So it was super nice.
We hope you all have a wonderful week.

Caturday

Mum was all acited this morning and said "INDIGO BUNTING, INDIGO BUNTING, INDIGO BUNTING" and started using the fancy flashy box like crazy! She even called Miss Lynn early with the same message.

Plus mum thinks the racoons were up and got their muddy paws on the feeder. It wasn't that way last night! At least they didn't knock it totally down.
We are now napping while mum gets ready to go outside and do chores. She has some planting to do.  We made sure she stayed in bed though for a long time so she got her rests. We either sat on her to keep her in bed or crawled under the covers to get tons of loves and scritches. That is sort of our one on one time with her. It was nice.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger.

First we want to send out comforting purrs to Finnegan's family. He ranned off to The Bridge on Tuesday. He was a long time furiend and we will miss him.
Plus we understand it is Straw Hat Day, so here is a straw hat. We don't wear hats!
Fishes report for Trout Towne Tabbies, none seen this past week.

Now what is happening around here in the past week. We had warms over the weekend, windows open, then we got boomer storms and rain. So the grass is green and growing like crazy. Mum is out with the monster eating it up now.

Two lovely red tulips all blooming and you see the flower bent over behind them.
Mum held the flower up to get a good picture.
Although the haven't bloomed yet, some of the new tulips have multi flower on one flower stalk. So we are excited to see them all the way open soon.

As the boys reported on ManCat Monday, we had some new fevver visitors this past week.

Mum spotted Mrs Oriole up in the tree. She had just taken a nice bath and was smoothing out her fevvers. A little later mum saw Mr and Mrs O getting amorous in the crabby apple tree. She was nice and didn't take pictures.
The Mr Rose-breasted Grosbeak showed up at the one feeder and then sampled some of the fruit on the oriole feeder.
Mr Hummer taking a drink, we have been seeing hummers everytime we look out the window. So they like us and our feeder.
Last, Mr Rose-breasted Grosbeak over at the water tank getting some refreshments.
So lots going on around here. So hope we have more to report next week.

Love, Virginger.
