ManCat Monday

Of course, every cat is really the most beautiful woman in the room. - Edward Verrall Lucas

Or handsome mancat! Me just soaking up the sun puddles yesterday morning. Nice and sunny, plus you can see we have no snow for now. What we had went away.

Fine you disturb me, I come and disturb you. Let's get cracking on this post, OK?
Yes, that is my furry little backside blocking the screen, need to get into position here where I can snoopervise what she is doing.

Me and mum had a good weekend. She got her few extra chores done, we had lots of cuddle time and she started to get out the Christmouse stuff.
First mum created a mountain of ham and bagged it up in smaller packages. Yes I got some, so did she as she cut it off. See all of those little bags? Each one has about a pound of ham in it. Some for mum and then some for me!

Mum got out Grampie's little tree and she got out a tree that makes sparkles! I haven't seen this one before! Mum says Derby used to chew on it so she didn't put it out. She found it and put it out and it still works.

Feetball Report

The Pack-Already report on, stunk up the place and lost to Da Bears.

The Broncos-Mr Peyton's foot still bad, not playing on Sunday night.

Almost December! Have a good week everyone.

Happy Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. We haves a bright, beauty-full day. Lots of sun for sun puddles to nap in, so warms coming through the windows.

Mum deserted me on Thanksgiving, she did feed me my turkey and gravy dinner before she left, then went off to eat and drink with furiends. Plus she stay overnight, something about too many razz-berry martinis!

Plus they ate all three of these little birds, with another in reserve. Mum says these are ducks, all yummy and roasted.
Plus watch feetsball. I will have to cover my eyes with my paws, it was em-bare-assing!  On a night when two of the best QB's in the history of the team are there, the current QB and company stunk the joint up.
Mum has a list of stuff to do today. Hair fur is trimmed, one load of laundry drying and now something about a ham in the fridge. HMMMM, Ham! Better go snoopervise!

Tuesday This and That

HiYa, Happy Tuesday evening. Mum says only one more day of day hunting for her, then she can stay home with me for a bunch of days.

I got my prize from Wally, Ernie and Zoey at Island Cats. It is sort of cool.

Heck, still pictures don't do it justice, time for a video!

Thanks guys, this looks like fun. Can't wait to play with it some more.

ManCat Monday

You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats. - Colonial American Proverb

Don't be calling us cats strange. We are just furry furiends you haven't met yet!
This is me on Caturday, mum spent a lot of time in the kitch-hen doing stuff. I keep her company but stay out of the way.
She got the pan all buttered and made a bunch of batches of her peanut brittle. With Derby not around she didn't have to worry about some cat try to lick the pan all the time. She needs to take some of this with her on Thanksgiving.
Then she jumped into making chick-hen noodle soup. I was given some of the chick-hen before the rest went into the soup. Then she made another type of soup on Sunday!

Some one commented on mum's putting out the Christmouse lights. She doesn't get on a ladder either. They just get attached to the railing and stone ledge in front of the house. So she is nice and safe.

 Feetsball Report

The Pack -Yipee and Phew! The Pack managed to win today beating the ViQueens. Looked liked they found the guys who played the first six games and put them into play this week.

Be prepared on Turkey Day evening. The Pack with be hosting Da Bears at Lambeau field. Mum is looking forward to half time. Grampa Brett will be honored on the Ring of Honor and they expect Bart Starr to be there. Old Bart has had some health issues, so mum hopes things go well. She amembers him being the bestest player back when she was a little wafer, plus he is a super nice purrson too.

The Broncos - They came to play Da Bears in ChiTown. Of course Mr Peyton wasn't playing since he hurted his paw last week, heck he didn't even come to ChiTown.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Things are changing around here, we have SNOW! Not a really deep snow, mum says 1-2 inches but it is still snowing.
First pic of the AM, mum and I had settled into the chair in the back just to check things out. Yep, you can see mum put the heater in the bird bath so they can get drinks this winter.
Close up of the crabby apple tree, the snow is just sticky enuf for it to stay on the branches.
Feet prints of mum. She went out for just a short bit to dump the snow from the big feeder and fill it up with more seeds for the fevvers. This is the kind of day we will see lots of fevvers since they won't have many places to find foods with the snow on the ground.

Me and mum had a nice snuggle this morning. We discuss how things are, we do our purrs and prayers as well.
I am out from the covers, come on mum, time for you to get out of the sleepy spot. Enuf laying about.

Let's go, I want my brekkie! Hmmm, not a bad tock shots, even if it sin't TockTober.

Happy weekend all.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Hey, guess what, we are inside! Mum said with what little she needs to do outside, she is OK with us not being there to snoopervise. So in we came last weekend. Ducky joining us on the tower by the back windows. That way we can see what is going on outside.
Close up of us, all hanging out on the same level. Glimmer may be skinny, but she sure is tall!
Glim down on another level with a certain ginger mancat checking her out. Yeah, we smell like outside and the Duckster doesn't get to be outside!
Mum says all she needs to do outside is to chew up the last of the leaves with the mower, then run the mower dry. Only problem is the weather, well and darkness. Mum can only do this stuff on the weekend, and they are talking SNOW for late Friday into Caturday. Then it will all melt next week. We shall see, so stay tuned. We will find out if the weather guessers are right or not.

That is all. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

ManCat Monday

"It's like I always tell you, little kit, said Cecil, his cheeks bursting with herring. Don't be a chicken, be a cat! Be adventurous."   - Anton and Cecil: Cats at Sea

Made it to Monday. Me and mum had a good weekend, lots of sun and nice temps. It was so nice that mum was outside on Sunday without a jacket! She was working in the sun so that helped, but even later when the sun was almost gone she had no jacket on.

What was she doing? Putting the Christmouse lights out! Said she would rather do it early and not turn them on, than wait and be freezing her fingers off doing it. It was 60 degrees F out yesterday. Next weekend it may only be in the 30's!
Me getting ready to invade mum's lap. Put that book down and pay attention to me! She did for a bit.
Then I jumped up to the top of the tower and mum decided she would nap a bit. Not for long, I jumped down and landed on her belleh. She did have a pillow on her to give her a bit of a cushion, but she made a noise "OOOOOFFFFFFF".

Feetsball Report

The Pack - have now lost three in a row, all their games since the bye week. Maybe the guys that played earlier have been replaced by bad players. They lost to the Detroit Lions, who to this point in the season had won one game. Plus they Lions hadn't won at Lambeau since 1991!

The Broncos - lost big time to KC, seems they are going downhill too. Peyton kept throwing it to the wrong team. It was so bad they took him out of the game! But Peyton did surpass Grampa Brett in number of passing yards.

Have a good week everyone.

Caturday

HiYa, happy weekend! Hope you have a great time in the next few days.

Me and mum are having a good day so far. She woke up and used her litterbox real quick and came back to her sleepy spot. I was there waiting for her. She covered us up and we snuggle and napped for over an hour! I know mum fell asleep for a while. When we woke up it was light out.

Here I am waking her up! It is so nice to snuggle with mummy. Plus she called me a "sassycat" this morning. Seems I pushed the moving picture box remote to the floor, just like Derbs used to do.

Mum says it will be a quiet weekend. Minimal chores to do like the shopping and laundry. So lots of time to hang out together.

Plus we is sending purrs and prayers to all in France. We know the Chans are OK and one of mum's furiends and his family, who lives near Paris, are all OK. Didn't we just purr for peace last week? Don't these peoples get it that we want PEACE! Stay strong France!

Liberté, égalité, fraternité

Vive la France!

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Goodness we were bizzy snoopervising mum over the weekend, mostly on Caturday. Mum was up and out early working outside. She kept at it for HOURS! Sheesh, we had to take turns snoopervising so we had time to take naps.

First up, she finished cutting down the plants in the flower beds and got all that stuff hauled off. Then she went and got foods, for her and Ducky, we saw lots of stinky goodness in those bags.
Then back to the outside stuff. Got all of the leaves blown off the grass and into the street. Another pile for them to haul off. Right now they are still sitting there. You can see not many leaves left on the trees, and this was last Caturday.

Here is the pile, it is windy here today, so maybe they will get all blown off to another purrson's yard. The winds will take them away from our yard!
Front yard before and after mum blowed stuff out and then used the grass eating monster to chew up the last of the leaves.

Other side of the driveway, see how nice and leaf-less this look.
The view out the back, no pretty flowers, just sunshine and grass and fevver bath.
We did get a chance to play in the leaves before mum got rid of them. She did make sure we were out of the pile before she blew them away.

That is all for this week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

ManCat Monday

Those who'll play with cats must expect to be scratched. - Miguel de Cervantes

Oh yeah, I still have my back claws and yes I have gotten mum a time or two. Not furry often but I do stand up for myself if I want to not be held by mum.

Mum was super bizzy this weekend. Caturday she worked and worked and worked outside. I think see even wore the girls out.
This is me waiting for mum to be done with her chores. She sits in front of me, she reads her book or papers, watches the moving picture box or works on her crow-shay. Then once she sits down I do my majic
I was here last night and mum says my head is all heavy. That is cuz I think heavy thoughts for a kitty.

Feetsball Report

The Pack - Played another unbeaten team this week. Got off to another slow start and couldn't make it up at the end. So their fast start is slowing down. Will see how they do next week againt Detroit!

The Broncos -  They may have beaten The Pack last week, but in another battle of unbeatens, this time The Broncos got beat down by Mr Peyton's old team.

Mum didn't even watch all of the games. She left the moving picture box on and just listened and we sat in the back and watched the sqwerls and fevvers. It was a nice sunny days and we try to soak up all the daylight we can now.

Hopes your week is a good one!

Caturday

Hey, today is the last day to sign up for Secret Paws for this year. I had to bug mum and she sent my info in last night. Sorry no earlier notice, my typist isn't paying attention to my requests.

Back to reality around here. We had super nice days from Sunday through Thursday, sunny, way above average temps. The it rained and got windy on Thursday night and now it is much cooler. Mum is happy, the wind brought down lots of leaves.

Just sitting here for now watching mum. She says she needs to get out and get the last of the plants cut down and hauled off. Then just leaves and grass to take care of, which means the blower and the mower get used.
Plus I had a scare! An empty food box! Never fear, mum had another bag ready and waiting!
Happy weekend all.
