Tuesday This and That

HiYa, Happy Tuesday, or Toesday if you like to do that. So here are my toes while I was napping on my tower.
It was a bright and sunny day today. Mum was outside to shop and after lunch she went for a walk. Then she sat outside until the until the sun went behind the naybor's house. It was 50F (10C) today, which for the end of November is wonderful.

Feetsball Report - Joy in Packerland today. They actually looked liked a good team last night. We shall see if they can keep this up for the rest of the season.

ManCat Monday

Cats, no less liquid than their shadows, offers no angles to the wind. They slip, diminished, neat, through loopholes less than themselves. - A. S. J. Tessimond

HiYa Ducky here. Back to Monday, although mum says Monday doesn't matter to her now that she doesn't day hunt anymore.

Mum did some stuff on the weekend, the usual cleaning and laundry stuff. However on Caturday she did get motivated to make soup.
She did her potato soup, so got all the veggies all chopped up, potato, celery, carrots and onjuns. Lots and lots of onjuns.
Once the veggies are all cooked, in goes into the milk and cheese. Finished product, but I don't get to taste because of the onjuns.
She was letting the soup to cool a bit before it went into the freezer. Mum likes this soup as she can freeze it in serving sizes for a later date. Some of the stuff she makes won't freeze, so she has to eat it all up quickly, then she gets tired of it.

Even if I won't get anything to eat, I am on my way to check it out. Up on the table I am, waiting to see the final product.
Yes mum, I will sit in the window like I am supposed to while you eat. I am happy that you give me some of your cheese, that you had with your crackers and sausage.

Feetsball Report

The Pack - plays on Monday night. Mum is wondering if the Not Ready for Prime Time Packers will be there.

The Broncos - playing Sunday night and mum is not planning to stay up to see the end.

Happy week every one.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Hope everyone survived Thanksgiving and that you are all out of your food comas! Mum said she did not have a food coma, that she ate well, but didn't overeat.

As usual she ranned off to spend the afternoon and overnight with her furiends. They are the ones that grill the ducks super good. Then rather than drive home late when she is tired she stays overnight.

No, I did not get any samples of duck, so I have none to share with anyone else. Sorry guys, mum sort of thought about asking for a bit, but then she thinks that would be rude to her hosts.

Mum was home then on Friday purrty early and she made a couple of phone calls. A guy showed up about an hour later with this!

Mum bought herself a new snow eater, a bigger one that can move heavy snow. Mum says she isn't getting any younger and doesn't always want to shovel that heavy snow at the end of the drive where the plow goes by!
Mum is avoiding the stores until Monday, then she needs to go get a new carbon monoxide monitor. Ours starting chirping in the middle of the night with an error. Mum figured out it was deaded for good. Plus she is going to make potato soup later today too. Some good stuff for her to eat.

Happy weekend all.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from me and mum. Have an enjoyable day. Try not to overeat and be pleasant to all. Mum says don't talk poly-tics!
If you misplaced the turkey, look for an extra lamp on the side board!

Tuesday This and That

HiYa All, Ducky here. Me and mum are done with outside work! Well, I technically don't do any outside work, I just snoopervise. Mum got the last little things picked up and cut down from the yard. She then mowed up the last of the remaining leaves.
Sunday morning when the last tree finally decided to let its leaves fall! They only come off after a hard freeze. Below, Monday afternoon, after blowing and mowing for the final time. Those few leaves left will blow away.
Then mum visited the compost pile for the last time for the year. Dropped the stuff off. She liked it that she was the only one there. No hassles to park, unload and leave. Then she stopped to get the metal monster all cleaned up, inside and out. So it looks purrty now.

Plus I have a video for the Katnip Lounge's mum. She likes water, so here is our waterfall from a few weeks ago.

So, just waiting for turkey day to get here. Mum says she will be eating duck! Yeah, same place as the last few years. Me, mum says I will get a nice lunch.

ManCat Monday

A cat pours his body on the floor like water. It is restful just to see him.  - William Lyon Phelps

Mum says to look at me is always restful. I make her relax and smile. Plus I like to sit in her lap and make her sit.
Mum did work outside in the yard yesterday. Finally it got super cold and the leaves finally fell off the one last tree. Mum still needs to mow the grass one last time. That she wants to do today. The weather is going to get icky just before Turkey Day.

Feetsball Report

The Pack - played the Washington Sunburns. Mum says they continue to not look sharp or that they have their act together. They looked a little better tonight, but still losted. Doesn't help that the players keep getting hurt.

The Broncos - had the weekend off.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Well, it finally got here. Yep the cold weather, the girls were smart to head into winter snuggle land the other day.

Not much snow, barely covers the grass, didn't stick to the pavement or streets. But our weather guesser said, nah, won't stick at all. He guessed wrong!

The guy came to blow the last of the leaves off of the roof and out of the rain gutters yesterday. So mum has a bit of cleanup outside to finish off. Get the leaves off the grass, then mow one last time. Plus she has a new fevver bath to set up which she hopes to get at soon. Like today!

Everyone have a wonderful weekend. Stay warm!

Garden Thursday - Farewell Until Spring

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper. This will be our final post of the season. Mum says it is time to get tucked away as the cold weather is coming.

Our burning bush is finally getting red, mum says it seems to be late as others are done and dropped their leaves already.
The four-sith-ia, top and botttom. Still has its leaves but a few of them have changed, at least one one side. Middle of November, our shrubs still have leaves. Even the lilacs still have leaves on them!
Mum clearing out more leaves. She got rid of the stuff that blew off the roof and was just sitting in front of the metal monster room and the front door. Then she raked, by hand, the front of the house to get rid of as much of the honey locust stems. The pic is a bit fuzzy, but all that stuff just clogs up the lawn.

Mum also got the outside Christmouse lights up along the front of the house. No ladders involved here, which is safe for mum. They won't get lighted up until after Turkey Day. Heck, that is just next week!
Here we are for one last pic for the season. Mum got the stuff tucked away in the back too. So we are heading off to stay warm and cozy for the winter.
See you next spring! Love Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

ManCat Monday

Cats are absolute individuals, with their own ideas about everything, including the people they own. - John Dingman

Yeah, I have my own ideas. Sometimes me and mum are on the same page, other times not so much. Most of the time we are good.
Mum had a nice lunch with the other cat mum's, Donna and Jen. Their kitties don't blog much anymore, but mum keeps up with the on Facebook. So they ate, talked kitties, and more kitties. Mum came home all full. Did some chores, then went out for another racy car dinner. This was the local club, mum did not win any awards this week, but a good furiend got the member of the year award. She sat next to him at dinner.

Mum got the outside Christmouse lights up from the dungeon. She wants to get them put up this week while the weather is still nice. That way her fingers won't be all frozen up. She won't light them up for good until after Turkey Day next week.

Feetsball Report

The Pack - losted. Just don't have it this year. Everything seems to be just a bit off. Mum has the game on the moving picture box, but was going through the paper during the game.

The Broncos - won! They won on funky play running back a blocked PAT.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday. It is another bright and sunny day here in November, we usually get lots of clouds now, not this year. Frosty morning and mum had to go out with the hammer to break up the ice on the fevver bath!

Mum is just doing minor stuff around the house today. Then she is off to have lunch with some fellow cat moms! Will report on that Monday. As for me, I will be napping in the sun and enjoying watching out the windows.

Happy weekend all.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

The trees are finally letting go of their leaves. Mum is happy about that. On Tuesday she got home from voting and came outside to be with us.

You can compare last weeks pics with this week, lots more empty spaces. Plus the leaf pile in the street. Mum has been trying to chew up most of the leaves, so the pile is smaller than usual. Mum thinks that what is left she can just chew up with the mower.
All three of us united again in the back. Mum says we can stay out for a while longer since the fall has been so nice. Although the nights are getting cooler now.

That is all for this week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

We voted!

Mum went out for her walk, stopped by and voted, the finished her walk. Said she waited about 15 minutes in line. Her ward was the only one with a line! MOL!

If you haven't voted her in Mericky, please do so. Thanks.

ManCat Monday

A sleeping cat is ever alert.  - Fred Schwab

Yeah mum, I hear the little noise from your phone thing taking pictures, disturbing my nap!

Mum left me alone on Caturday night. She went to an awards dinner for her racy group. Since it was farther away she went with some furiends and then stay at their house overnight. So she got a pick of me when she got home. Just soaking up the sun.
Plus her whole group got the worker of the year award, well really workers. They got it cuz they is so good at what they do and they are a friendly bunch too.

 Feetsball Report

The Pack - They stunk up Lambeau Field on Sunday. Mum says it is getting to the point she doesn't really want to watch them. So she may have the moving picture box on, but then she was reading the paper and looking at the ad for the week.

The Broncos - were playing Sunday night. Mum was planning to go to bed before the game ended.

Plus the stoopid 'lection stuff with stop this week. Mum will go a vote on Tuesday, then she says she plans to stay up late to see what happens.

Happy week everyone!

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Weekend! This is the weekend mum will go and find that hour she hid on us last spring. We will have earlier sunshine in the day.
This was me the other day - bright and sunny and I was taking a nice snooze in the sun puddle while mum worked outside.
Then she came inside and took a few more pics. I sure do have my paws in an interesting pose!

Mum is at it already, been out and about. Got her flu shot and stopped by the library to see what they had for sale at the bazaar. Mum said lots of over price foods and kitch-hen stuff. Nothing she needed. She did sample one thing and thought it tasty icky. Chocolate sauce and BBQ sauce.

So, help your humans find that hour, we can all use an extra hour of sleeps and naps. Happy weekend.

Garden Thursday - Happy Blogoversary to Us!

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday.

Our leaves are very slow to drop off the trees this year. Probably cuz the weather hasn't been that cold or windy. Matter of fact, it has been super nice.

This is mum sitting outside with us on Tuesday, the temps were up in the70's! Normally it should be down in the 50's for high temps. Mum was enjoying the sun until it went down behind the earth! She must be part cat, soaking up the sun puddles!

A closeup of the mums that mum bought, they still look really good. Plus we got enuf rains so mum hasn't had to water them special.
Mr Hawk made a visit on Tuesday as well. Mum knows this wasn't there on Monday, but she doesn't amember seeing the pile of fevvers until after her walk. On Wednesday even all the fevvers were gone. Mum didn't clean them up.

So that is it for now. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

PS. Mum was all confuzzled, she was thinking November 5 was the first post, when in fact it is November 3. So Happy Blogoversary to us. Some of you caught it, mum didn't!
