HiYa Ducky here. Back to Monday, although mum says Monday doesn't matter to her now that she doesn't day hunt anymore.
Mum did some stuff on the weekend, the usual cleaning and laundry stuff. However on Caturday she did get motivated to make soup.
She did her potato soup, so got all the veggies all chopped up, potato, celery, carrots and onjuns. Lots and lots of onjuns.
Once the veggies are all cooked, in goes into the milk and cheese. Finished product, but I don't get to taste because of the onjuns.
She was letting the soup to cool a bit before it went into the freezer. Mum likes this soup as she can freeze it in serving sizes for a later date. Some of the stuff she makes won't freeze, so she has to eat it all up quickly, then she gets tired of it.
Even if I won't get anything to eat, I am on my way to check it out. Up on the table I am, waiting to see the final product.
Yes mum, I will sit in the window like I am supposed to while you eat. I am happy that you give me some of your cheese, that you had with your crackers and sausage.
Feetsball Report
The Pack - plays on Monday night. Mum is wondering if the Not Ready for Prime Time Packers will be there.
The Broncos - playing Sunday night and mum is not planning to stay up to see the end.
Happy week every one.
I didn't know that cats were supposed to eat onions. Not that I've ever tried to feed onions to a cat!

Maybe your human can make you some onion-free catnip soup!
ReplyDeleteMy mum likes making leek and potato soup with lots of onions too, good simple winter food that is quick and easy to make.
ReplyDeleteYour soup looks yummy ! Too bad you couldn't taste it, but your mom is right, onions are dangerous for us. Claire does the same : a big soup pot, so she can put portions in the freezer for later. Purrs
ReplyDeleteThat soup looks and sounds very tasty. My mum can't eat onions so she finely chops leeks instead.
ReplyDeleteOMC, does that soup ever sound good, well, except for the onyuns. Maybe somebody's Mom could skip those and share? *hint hint wink wink*
ReplyDeleteI hope you got your dinner after that, Ducky!
ReplyDeleteOur mom bean likes to make soup at this time of year too. AND she never shares either.
ReplyDeleteWe're certain your snoopervision was the reason it tastes so good...not the onjuns!

Well, at least you got some cheese, Ducky. That's pretty good.
ReplyDeleteWow, our human loves potato soup, she just doesn't know how to make it.

We think it's so cute how you sit in the window while your human eats, Ducky. You deserved that cheese!
