ManCat Monday

When addressed, a gentleman cat does not move a muscle. He looks as if he hasn't heard. - Mary Sarton
No, not moving, enjoying the sun puddle way too much. Did lots of napping here over the weekend. Early morning sun and naps, what could be better?
Caturday mum opened the window in the kitch-hen. It was so nice to breathe the fresh airs, listening to the fevvers singing like crazy. Except for a now small pile of snow by the end of the driveway our snow is gone. But the weather guessers say we may get more this week. Mum says it won't last long on the ground, we get warmer weather and more sun.
Mum has a new mini project! The big blankie is totally done and she had a bit of yarn left. So she is working on something small that will end up as a doll blankie. More work to snoopervise.

Plus it is LEAP Day. Only comes around once every four years, so have some fun with it.

Happy Squillion Day!

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday and it is a special day. Squillion Day. So Virginger and all of her gang get to celllybrate.

So I am going to turn this over to Virginger to let her tell her story!
Thanks Ducky, you are a good mancat. Yep, Mum found me and I moved in with her and Derby. Plus we spread the word and lots and lots of my litter mates found homes with others out in the blogoshere. Mum fostered lots of the gang and I know they went to good places.

I can sit on the top part of the tower too, see I am higher than Ducky here.
Getting checked out by Ducky, he is such a sweet little mancat, more my size.

So Happy Squillion Day to myself and all the rest of my litter mates. We rock!

Derby was the first and founder. We miss the big guy!

Caturday

Hey everyone, Happy Caturday! It is a beauty-mus day here today. Bright and sunny and the warms will be here. Mum has promised open windows later!

I was playing really hard with my fevver mousie last night and got it stuck in the cat tree! I pawed and pawed at it but couldn't get it out. Thankfully, mum saw it and rescued it for me. This is my favorite mousie to play with.
Spring alert! Mum went out to shake the icky stuff off the rugs before she gets the sucking monster out. She spied a little green shoot coming out of the ground! YAY.
I gotta go find me a nice sun puddle to nap in. See you all later!

Garden Thursday

Yeah, we know it is still officially winter and February, but time to say hello for the new year. We are still inside for now. Not much for mum to do outside, other than feed the fevvers.
Mum did come home yesterday to see that the box was tipped over. It was windy, but this isn't likely to get tipped by the wind. Mum is confuzzled as to what happend here. She stores the extra feeders in here for the winter. Don't need the hummer feeders this time of year. No foods for them silly sqwerls or racoons either
Plus Virginger gets to cellybrate this Sunday. It is Squillion Day!

See you again soon. Love, Viringer, Glimmer and Trooper.

Tuesday This and That

More blankie news. Mum got the above blankie in the mail, she order this for her purrthday as she had a coupon which made this soouper cheap!

Plus the pink blankie is all done. At least the crow-shay part is done. Mum needs to give it a gentle wash and trim off the trails of yarn.

Plus a close up of the pattern. Mum is happy the way it turned out.
Me, just taking it easy, my snoopervising work is done.

ManCat Monday

Cats possess so many of the same qualities as some people that it is often hard to tell the people and the cats apart. - P. J. O'Rourke

Hmmm, I think I can tell the beans from us cats. They have the thumbs to open the food cans!

I had a nice rest of the weekend. Fresh air and sunshine, for both me and mum. She opened the window for me, she got a chair out and sat outside in the sunshine for a while. That made us both happy.
Here we are after she came inside. I held her down so she would rest some, she was furry bizzy doing stuff on Caturday. The girl has to slow down! So enuf time to finish her book.

Sunday she did more chores, mainly getting more foods for the fevvers. With the cold in the past month they have been eating like crazy. Almost all of the stuff she bought less than a month ago is almost gone! Mum will be happy for spring and they have other places to eat.
Sunday afternoon she did sit down, she turned on crash car as background noise and worked on the blankie. She hadn't worked on it since the Stouper Bowl.
Almost done! She took this picture, but then worked on it some more while she was watching Downton. Mum says she is liking how she thinks this will end.
Otherwise, it is Monday again. Hopefully not as hectic of a Monday for mum like the last one. Getting into the last week of February.

Caturday

Yippee it is the weekend. Mum has been bizzy this morning, running around. She has about half of her stuff done for the day, so more running around to come.

Bright, sunny day! Whoohoo, it is warm out and mum has promised to open the kitch-hen windows a bit later so I get fresh airs. She will wait until those windows get all sunny.
Me, basking in the wonderful sun. I so loves it when my furs get all warms and toasty.

Lots of melting with sun, warms and wind. It was furry windy here on Friday. While mum was driving around today she saw trees damaged and a portable potty tipped over. Sure hope no one was inside when it tipped. MOL. Above pics are Friday AM, below, Friday PM.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Thursday, Friday Eve

Phew, me and mum are happy it is almost the end of the week. One more day of day hunting for her. She has had a crazy week.

First, Monday, the metal monster didn't want to start. So she had to wait for a jump start, take it to the monster fix-it place.

Second, Tuesday, her purrthday, bizzy day hunting and dinner out. I helped her start to cellybrate early by waking her up so we could have a nice long snuggle together before she went to day hunt.

The rest of the days have been bizzy as people are out sick. Mum is hoping she doesn't get the sickies!

I helped mum watch the woofie show the other night. Mum has to laff at me. I rarely pay attention to the moving picture box. But she has pictures from other years and this one too of me jumping up to check out the show.

Mum got to meet her co-worker's Great Dane this morning. She forgot how big those woof's are. Mum says more like a small pony!

Happy early weekend.

Tuesday This and That - Happy Purrthday Mum!

Mum says she is almost older than dirt, not quite, but still, she isn't a spring chick anymore!
Mum is not real big on getting her picture taken, this will have to do. Plus you get to see me too, bonus!

So mum will go and day hunt as usual, one of these years she says she will quit day hunting since she is getting old, then she won't have to work on her purrthday. She will have dinner tonight with one of her good, long time furiends Miss Barb. Maybe that means good leftovers for me!

So happy purrthday mum, love ya!

ManCat Monday

If there were to be a universal sound depicting peace, I would surely vote for the purr.  - Barbara L Diamond

Thanks to all who stopped by over the weekend to cellybrate my Gotcha Day, we did have a good time. It is so nice to have a furrever home. I do have one point to make.

I am Ducky,
DUCKY,
DUCKY
There were a few who called me Derby. I am not he, and he is long departed and at The Bridge.  'K? Mum says I shouldn't take it so purrsonal, but hey, everyone wants to be called by their correct name. Right?

Mum and I had a peaceful weekend and we had a long weekend together. She didn't go to day hunt on Friday. Went to see her money man and he took her out to lunch for a nice fishy fry. She did bring some home, so I got some fish for Sunday lunch.
This is what was left, three pieces of fishy, two of blue gill and one of cod. She first gave me some of the cod. It took me a while to really want to eat it, but I did.

Later with the cod, a snarfed it right up. I am glad mum shares her stuff with me when she can.

She also got the metal monster's oil changed, and even though it was cold she had them wash it. The metal monster room is usually warm so it won't freeze. But on Caturday she went through the bank drive thru and the window wouldn't go down. So she had to park and go inside. Once the car warmed up it wanted to work again.

Caturday she went out again for lunch with Miss Lynn. She had an email that she could get a free meal if they bought a meal! Hey that works, then they just split the cost of whatever they eat. She did bring stuff home but says it has garlic in it, so I don't get any! Bummer.

Sunday, it was all snowy, so we just stayed all snuggled up, so we just snuggled and mum made this yummy chick-hen thing in the cooker thing. Dump the stuff in and go away for a few hours. It tasted OK, but didn't look purrty like the picture. Mum says she has to work on it.
So it as a bit snowy on Sunday afternoon, mum readed her book and we sat by the big windows watching all the fevvers come by to eat. With the snow and cold, they are eating lots, already half way through what mum bought only a few weeks ago!

Me hanging out and watching fevvers. Stop in tomorrow for another cellybration!

Caturday - My Gotcha Day

Six years ago, way back in 2010, mum came into the shelter, found me and brought me home. Thanks mum! So I guess I was an early Valentine's prezzie for herself!
Here I am still in my cage at the shelter, Hi and get me out of here! I want to see you without these bars between us.
Our firsted ever meeting with no bars between us. She was quiet and friendly and while I wasn't super excited or playful, mum sort of knew I would fit into things.
First few minutes at home. Mum opened the carrier and just let me sit and come out on my own. I cam out and promptly went UTB! Laser eyes and all!

I explored her room where I was kept by myself before getting a door cracked to say hello to Derby. It took us a while to get to know each other and learn to get along, but we did OK.
Mum first portrait of me. One handsome little ginger mancat.

So now time to party! Grab some noms and a drink. Let's cellybrate forever homes and Valentine's Day!
