Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Mom nature has been kind to us the past couple of mornings. In a period of rainy days we have gotten some nice mornings. Early morning sun puddles are nice.

 Early morning sun puddles on mum's lap is even better. Mum has been binge watching some old moving picture shows, so has been making a nice lap for me lately.

Mum has been bizzy this week, lots of library time, they had a book sale and she was helping out with the set up and sale.

 This picture was as of Friday AM and mum says lots of books were already gone, mum helped get a few more gone. Good price, the old library books were just one quarter. That is a purrty good price.

More time for laps and cuddles. Have a good weekend everyone!

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday. Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur checking in. Things keep getting greener and greener. Plus more colorful.

 The squirrels planted something from our naybors yard into ours. Mum isn't sure what it is, she asked the naybor, they just said it was a wild flower. We can't find a wild flower like this on the web.

 Two-lips are blooming, so bright reds and yellows in the front of the house. They are looking all nice and cheery.

If you biggify this you can tell the trees are starting to get leaves on them. Nice to have everything looking all green. Mum even had to get out the grass eater to even off the grass. Mum will be using it for the next 6 months!

Tuesday This and That

Another beauty-full day here. Open windows again, birds singing, sun shining. All happy.

Mum swearsies that she put out enuf foods. She counts the scoops. Friday AM, Friday PM, Caturday AM, Caturday PM, Sunday AM, Sunday PM. Now yeah, she is back in time for the Sunday PM feeding, but she does that to make sure I gots foods until she is home. Just in case she is delayed. 

Mum has been out and about today. Helped step up tables for the library book sale and then went and had a dental done. All good, come back in six months.

Me, well, lots of naps in the sunshine. What else!

ManCat Monday

I got abandoned this weekend. Mum went off to spend her first racy weekend and she left on Friday AM and didn't come back until Sunday evening. I was not happy with this, mainly I had eaten all of my foods by the time she got home. I don't think she measured right on how much she left me to eat. As soon as she realized I had no foods she got out some stinky goodness for me. I snarfed it down quickly. 

 Mum's shadow, they had a nice sunny weekend. She even managed to walk around with just tshirt and jeans on Sunday.

 Cars, and peoples, this was one of the small groups. Mum and her furiends didn't have too work to hard.

 For Max's mum, she has had her head shaved for this charity.

 Nice green trees and one lonely racy car!

Now what you really want to see. ME! Once she got home, I sat on her to get my loves!

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday and Happy Earth Day!

Yes, we kitties understand the need to treat Mom Earth kindly.

So do something nice for Mom Earth today. Pick up trash that is outside, try not to use chemicals to poison the land and water, feed our fellow animals to help them survive, plant a tree or shrub for wildlife to hang out in.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday. The four of us are enjoying our outside time. Things are changing, sometimes on a daily basis.

What do we have here? The hostas in the front of the house. The top was taken last Friday, below was taken on Tuesday. Look how much they pushed out of the ground in just a few days.

One of our hiya-sinths. Do you see the bumbly bee on the flower? Biggify to see him. We are happy to see our little furiends sho fly around. Below is a wide shot of the front flower bed, we have white, pink and purple hiya-sinths.

One of our trees in the front, mum tried to get it to focus as best as she could. In a few more days, we will have green leafs!

Tuesday This and That

We had another nice day. Open windows and all. The trees are even starting to get real leaves on them.

Over the weekend mum had to keep one of her furiends sane. Seems she had company and they were creating total  havoc at her house. So just before bed one night, mum took pictures of me to send to her. I always make her smile. 

 

 Then the next morning mum woke up and took a few more pictures on Monday AM to make her smile again. Thankfully the peoples who were driving her crazy left on Monday.

Then later mum got a call that said the grass eating monster was ready for pickup. They have woofies at the store and tell you that when you get to the store.

Not to worry, mum doesn't mind the woofs, there are at least three of them. This one is the main greeter and he is purrty old, white muzzle and all. He usually lays inside and you have to walk around him.

ManCat Monday

I gave my cat a bath the other day....he loved it. He sat there, he enjoyed it, it was fun for me. The fur would stick to my tongue, but other than that......   Steve Martin

Ha, I used my bath video the other day. But reruns are good things!

 Me and mum had a nice Easter, there was ham for both of us! Plus it was a bright sunny day and I took advantage of it by napping lots in the sun.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday! Mum is up early, at least for her on this Caturday. She was awake and in bed when her phone went, YOOHOO, at her. Her furiend said that silly giraffe was finally having her baby. Still not here, but you can see feets!

Me and mum aren't planning on doing much today. She needs to clean a bit, then says she will read her book. Me, nap and maybe a few baths.

Mum says it is time for her brekkie, she nicely put mine out first thing. Hmm, looks like toast and tea this morning.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday. Things are getting greener and more flowers!

First mum unhooked the birdy bath from the 'lectric cord. She figures it won't get that cold anymore, but a couple of days we did have a bit of ice that went away quickly. She is thinking she may move it away from the house a bit.

 The crocus flowers have croaked, so we are on to the daffy-dills now. The miniature yellow ones and the regular size white one.

 The four-sith-ia is blooming nicely and mum hung out the hummer feeders. We haven't seen any of the little guys yet, but wanted to get food out in case they are nearby.

Tuesday This and That

Our nice weather went bye yesterday. Mum had all the windows open at lunchtime. An hour later she had to close them all as the wind picked up, the temperatures dropped and later it rained hard.

Today mum sat in the reading chair to do a quick read of the discussion book for Thursday at the library. She has readed it before, Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. While she was reading, I was on her lap, then I decided I needed to be somewhere else.

 So I took a leap up on top of the corner cupboard by the reading chair. Nice place to survey the room.

 

I know you see me mum, I don't care, I like it up here.

ManCat Monday

As anyone who has ever been aroound a cat for any length of time well knows, cats have enormous patience with the limitations fo the human mind. - Cleveland Amory

I do have to say mum is purrty smart. She usually figures out what I want, like wanting under the covers to snuggle in the sleepy spot. Although sometimes I thinks she fakes sleeping so I don't get under the covers. When she does that I crawl on top of her!

We had a fantastic weekend. Wonderful weather, mum opened the windows really wide, even the big windows that go to the floor. 

 Mum sat outside a lot over the weekend. She got some stuff done in the yard, then she sat and readed her book.

 Plus mum did grill beast both Caturday and Sunday. Plus mum did grilled eggyplant.

Yep, I got some of the grilled beast, it was really good.

Caturday

HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday. Another nice sunny day for us. This makes three in a row. The girls were very happy they got sun and not snow on Thursday.

So what do I do on cloudy icky days? Well I always have to snoopervise mum. The other day she was catching up on moving picture box stuff she hadn't watched. Most of them I don't care about, but then she got to a show about the hummer birds. I liked that, and you can see how well I liked it. I wanted to sit right by the screen.

Mum says it is supposed to be nice again tomorrow, probably nice enuf for open windows and to do grilled beast both today and tomorrow. Yum.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday, our first for 2017. Yes we are a bit later than usual for making our appearance. For some reason I didn't want to show up and then end up looking like this! All covered with snow. I have told mum if it is going to snow, we need to be covered up! I am getting too old for this stuff!

So far the weather guesser has been wrong. no snow for us. So we shouldn't be covered up like I was a few years ago.

 Some of our spring flowers so far. The four-sith-ia is bloomin, mum says it needs a good trim and thinning out. Not really full of blooms like some other years.

 The last of the nice crocus blooms a few days ago, the rain has pretty much beaten them down now. So we are waiting for the daffs to bloom.

 Here we are in top of the storage box. Mum added to it the other day when it was sunny. Brought stuff from the metal monster room that can be used for birdy feeders.

Fleur looking good in the sunshine by the base of the crabby apple tree. She looks grate and will be a fine addition to our outside crew.
