Caturday

Derby here, hissed off and feeling like a drunken sailor.

The morning didn't start off good. We got stinky goodness, but mum slipped me a mickey pill in my share and then carted me off to see Mr VET man.

At home, in the PTU, waiting to leave. The only thing is that mum brings out the PTU and I go into it. No fuss or fighting! Imagine that.

At the office, mum is nice so she makes the appointment for the first thing in the AM. Then the office is quiet and no woofies to stick their stinky faces at me. They may be on a leash, but their humans don't control them very well.
All done, back in the carrier. If you biggify you can sort of see my eyes are wonky, with the third lid coming across. That is what happens when I get a mickey pill.

So once mum got me home and let me out, I gave her a big hiss, and have wandered off to sleep this pill off. Hope the runt leaves me alone for the day.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer.

It has been super wet the past few days. Heavy rain at times, windy, lightning a good bit of which comes when mum is trying to get her sleeps. She is looking furry tired the past few days.  Not much happening in the front of the house. I will toss the report to Miss Glimmer!

Hi! Lots going on back here. I have a good vantage point from atop the box mum bought.
All I have to do is turn around and I can see our butterfly bushes and they have bloomed already.
They haven't grown big or tall, but we do have flowers. Mum says she will need to get some time to sit and watch for butterflies!
I also have noise to deal with. They are making our path behind the house bigger and then will put something on it other than rock. Mum thinks it will be ashphalt

So they have had big machines moving the dirt around for now. We don't see as many people using the trail right now.
This is what it looked liked before they started working on it. Just crushed rock, and when it rained it would be squishy underfoot.
Getting close to home, our house, the blue one, is coming up on the left.

That is all for now. See you next week. Love, Virginger and Glimmer.

International Box Day

We love our boxes, yes we do!

ManCat Monday

A kitten is in the animal world what a rosebud is in the garden. - Robert Southey
This is us over the weekend. Mum cooked outside, so we are waiting for our tastes. We got both some roast beats and chick-hen!
Here is the roast beast and some eggy-plant for mum as well. It was all nice and tasty. Mum didn't take pictures of the chick-hen.

We know we are good to go for some time to come, mum laid in a big stock of litter for us! Had a good sale mum said, might as well stock up.

We want to say farewell to an long time buddy Mr Hendrix along with his alter ego Bendrix. He wasn't blogging much lately, had his paws full helping raising a sticky little thing. See you at The Bridge some day dude.

We hope you all have a wonderful week.

Caturday

Happy Caturday to all. Also for those of us in Mericky, it is Flag Day. Mum has gone out and put our flag up for the day.

We had an introoder into our yard. He/She didn't hang around when mum tried to get a few shots with the flashy box.  It had tags on so, likely out for a stroll for the evening. Fine, just stay out of OUR yard.

Otherwise, we are just taking it easy. Enjoying the fine summer weather, open windows and mum when she is around.
Ducky with a nice cuddle in mum's arms. Derby on the leopard pillow.
Happy weekend everyone.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer.

We can report that the pee-o-knees are now blooming! Yay! At least the ones in the back that get the most sun.

Here are the white ones with just a touch of pink.
The the pink one. The looked really purrty over the weekend. Today we had rain and the blooms are sort of hanging down more. Hopefully they will perk up when it dries out.

Here is a sedum that mum rescued from the destruction last fall. She planted it back near the house and it is growing good!

That is all for this week. Love Virginger and Glimmer.

ManCat Monday

If I called her she would pretend not to hear, but would come a few moments later when it could appear that she had thought of doing so first. - Arthur Weigall

Ha! This was me, Ducky, on Sunday. Usually in the morning I am prancing all over mum as she is all lazy in her sleepy spot. But yesterday I had other things to occupy my time. So even after mum got up, I didn't show up to say hello until about 20 minutes later. She kept wandering around the house saying "Where are you Ducky?". I won't say what I was doing, but it wasn't anything to do with the litter box! Gotta keep mum guessing, we can't be predictable you know.
Now to Miss Megan and her worries about Derby and his yak! See Miss Megan, I am a chewer kinda guy. I chew on anything, eat fast and well, that doesn't always make for a good digestive result. Mum has discussed this with the Mr VET man, and he says, since I am a fast eater, I just sometimes eat too much and then it comes right back up!
We want to wish all of our Meezer furiends a happy Meezer Colors Day. Wear your colors with pride gang. We give you are two tail salute!

Caturday

Its about time! Mum is slacking today, but we forgives her. She has had a bizzy week this week and with all of the trips with Miss Lynn, she is all tired. She didn't even get up today until 8:30!

Mum had a quick brekkie and took off to get us foods. We are running low and we would not consider it acceptable to run out.

What is left is about 2-3 days  worth, so with the weekend mum had a lesiurley trip to the pet foods store for us. Not a mad rush to get something.
It is going to be a warm one today, so we are going to all chill inside. Mum says she has to clean some today. Specially after Derby's yak spots!
We want to send comforting purrs off to the gang It's all Good. Their Miss Lizzie went to the Rainbow Bridge. Farewell sweet Lizzy, see you at The Bridge someday.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger and Glimmer.

Mum did make it home to give us all hugs. She also said she will not be making any more mid-week trips anytime soon. She was driving Miss Lynn to the mayo shop to get some treatments that had to be done every week for four weeks. But mum only did the last three trips.

Our ally-yums are blooming just nicely by the back fence.
Some of the ferns by the side of the house survive the destruction last fall and have come back up.
Glimmer here, things are good in the back yard. Grass all nice and trimmed.
Our butterfly bush even shows a mini future flower starting to form.

That is all for this week. See you next time. Love, Virginger and Glimmer.

Hug Your Cat Day

We hopes mum finds her way back to give us a hug today. She has brought out her red travel bag far too often in the past weeks. She is just gone overnight, but not on the weekends for racy car stuff.
Derby checking out the bag, yep there would be room for two in here, just fine!
Turning on the laser, not liking the fact that the bag is sitting by the door, almost ready to go.
Derby all comfortable, just zip me in and let's go together mum!
See the kittie back on the bench? That is mum's MouseBreath bag! All packed up with other travel goodies!

Come back home soon mum!

ManCat Monday

Cats love cat haters because cat haters don't pick them up and talk baby talk to them as they cuddle, pet, and squeeze the life out of them. Cats particularly like people who are to them because then they can rub against their legs without being bothered. Don't bother to pretend you like cats to keep them away; they can tell. - Andrew Frothingham; Tripp Evans

We had a nice relaxing weekend, and do did mum. Other than to go get some foods to eat, she was home all weekend.

We all napped, ate well and just chilled out. Mum read two books and started on a third on Sunday. The moving picture box wasn't on much either. Now that it is summer, mum spends her time sitting outside in the evenings, not in front of the box. Although that means we can sit on her, we just get to watch her from the big windows that go to the floor.

Have an interesting week everyone!

National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month

We are both shelter kitties and we do make the bestest pets. Go get a shelter cat today or any day!
