As always, biggify the pictures for maximum enjoyment. Mum found the grackel's nesting up high in our pine tree. She didn't get any pictures of the birdies on the nest, they would go away whenever she pointed the camera up there, even when she was standing far away. You can even see Mr Moon up above the tree.
So now we have some of the new baby fevver birdies showing up with their mum's and dads.
Here the little one is sitting in the crabby apple tree waiting to get some yummy that his mum had just pecked off the suet feeder.
On another day they were over by the seed feeder, while the little bird can fly, it would not fly up to the feeder, so mum had to keep going up and down to the feeder to get goodies.
Then they went over by the birdie bath for a drink, the little one didn't even try to drink. I hope he learns quick, cuz his mum will soon make him do it himself.
The robin checking out for bugs or worms in the lawn.
The baby waiting on the side of the patio for mum to find him a snack.
Hey, this is my blog, where is my picture?
Yeah, that is better, me waiting for her to turn on the puter box so I can share my life with you. I had extra mum time yesterday, she didn't go day hunting but was in and out taking Grampie to the bean VET for his regular check-up. He is fine, come back in a year.
Happy weekend everyone.
You have lots of little fevvers to watch, Derby. Thanks for all the pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking very handsome there Derby!
ReplyDeleteSmoochies!
I love this time of year b/c of all the new life it brings. However this blog is about you and I think you are adorable Derby!

ReplyDeleteHugs GJ xx
Awwww, what cute baby birdies!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting time you must have watching all those fevvers, Derby! We have had fewer fevvers in our garden than we do most summers. But my mum has been spending lots of time watching her class's butterflies, only now they have been released and flown away to live their butterfly lives.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend with your mum!
It's sweet seeing the momma birdie take care of the baby birdie!
ReplyDeleteI know some people don't like grackels but not me, I love 'em! I like that they can make all kinds of different noises. We only get one near the yard every blue moon, though. They prefer a different part of the city.
ReplyDeleteMy mom sees them every now and again when she goes to Petsmart. And you know what? She always talks to them! Yes, it's true: she always says, "Hi, grackel!" Isn't that silly? I wonder if the grackel thinks, "Hi, lady."
We love the nature walks through your yard Derby!
ReplyDeleteWe especially like the baby robin picture! Darling!
I liked looking at all of your fevvers! But I especially liked seeing you!
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrs, China Cat
We like to see birds up close and personal, but even better was that the best picture was saved for last.
ReplyDeleteThose are real cutie birdies! I love all birdies! Nice photo of you!
ReplyDeleteHey Derby, did you know today was Derby Day in the UK? A horse called Sea the Stars won the Derby today!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Derby - I thank you for the message you left this evening on my blog, and I do appreciate your efforts to convince your serving staff to add me to your links. I will have patience, as I know how slow they can be in complying with our wishes at times! Very lovely to meet you!
