Mr and Mrs Oriole continue to stop by and get foods to eat. Mum has to fill the jelly cups up every other day.Now the feeder is hanging under the crabby apple tree so usually is in shade like the above pictures. But at just the right time the sun hits it and here is Mr O looking pretty.
The he flew over to the nectar feeder for a couple of nice long drinks for more energy too.
Checking out the oranges on the side too, although mum says they eat more jelly and nectar than the oranges.
Mum went out last night and took Grampie to a concert in the park. The little community band is peoples teens and up who can play music good. This little group does two concerts each summer, and they have other groups during the summer too.
Mum says it was hot sitting there even in the shade, but nice to be outside enjoying the music.
Hope every one has an excellent weekend.
Mom goes to concerts in the park every year with Papa. They have one every week. Mr. Oriole looks good.

Mr. Oriole looks pretty. The nectar should make him taste sweet. Oops we meant it should give him lots of energy.
ReplyDeleteEvil Mr. Hawk ate our Woodpecker yesterday. He took him out of the tree when he was eating peanuts. That is the second Woodpecker he has taken in a month. We used to like chattering to him from the window.

we need to get some birdie feeders! Then we'd have some entertainment around here!!
ReplyDeleteIt cooled off here then got hot again. We're staying in the basement.
Mr. O is a very handsome bird!
ReplyDeleteHe must be very grateful for your mum feeding him.
Mr. Oriole looks quite fantastic in those photos. I'm sure he appreciates the cool shade and drink offered by your mom. Keep enjoying the summer, Derby!
ReplyDeleteYou have a really lovely blog here! And Derby must have such fun watching Mr. Oriole.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my blog about a colony of abandoned/feral cats near my home in AZ. There will be stories there as time goes on that could inspire and inform anyone you know who wants to help homeless cats.

Mr. Oriole looks great. I put up a finch feeder for our family, but I haven't seen any bird using it yet. Then, I don't get much time to look at it, either. Have a great bird-watching weekend, Derby.
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty fevvers to have hanging around your property. Our tree swallows are now feeding their chicks in our birdhouse, and we can hear the peeping when the parents bring back food. Hope you're having a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure one of those birdies was making rude faces at you, Derby....
