Caturday

HiYa Ducky here, Happy Caturday. Me and mum are getting off to a slow start. She stayed but a bit late watching the sailing boats flying around the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand. Sad to say that the US boat lost four races in the past two days. So that means they are out of the competition. Considering the US boat nearly sunk a couple of weeks ago it was good to see them back, but not sailing well enuf to be competative.

So the US lost to the Eye-talians and they will race the You-Kay boat in a couple of weeks. Mum will be up late those nights watching. Then that winner will race the NZ team for the America's Cup.

Me sitting in the front window watching things. Later today I will be watching for snow to come down, another good snowfall expected so mum will be bizzy with snow Sunday and Monday.

Mum finished the latest blankie last night while she was watching the sailing. She pulled out some of the newly bought yarns for the next blankie, but didn't start it. She will do that today. Plus she finished her 12th book yesterday too for the year.

So me and mum will hang out and do whatever.

Stay safe, stay healthy, wear a mask, get the vaccine when you can.

  1. Ducky, I think you live somewhere near Eastside Cats, because we seem to experience the same weather!
My sister just reserved a spot for our 88 year-old mother to get her first vaccine early next week. The Hubby is eligible, but he won't go until I can go...but it really doesn't matter, because in our county, they run out of vaccines very quickly.
    We are being patient...sorta...

  2. That blankie sure is pretty! Those Americans are not always good at that sailing thing.

  3. Those are pretty colours in the blankie. I hope you don't get too much snow,

  4. I guess watching snow fall is more interesting than watching the grass grow, Ducky - at least there's some visible movement! LOL

  5. Sad that the US boat is out, now we wait for the finals of the Prada Cup to see if the UK or the Italians will face Team NZ. Here it is sunny with light winds today, but then it is the middle of Summer down here. Keep well and stay safe, both of you, Michelle in Wellington, New Zealand.

  7. Your selfie is beautiful today. I'll have to find those boat races, they sound fun to watch and that blanket is wonderful.
