Taking a day each week to share my various crochet project since last fall. I do crochet while I watch TV, especially sports. Keeps me from nervous eating during the game. Most likely to happen during football games. Gotta keep the hands clean while working on a project.
An activity to keep me busy, keep my hands going. What I make I donate through the local food pantry. The pantry clients get to select something when it is their birthday. I and others donate blankets. I make sure that I don't duplicate yarn colors in a given donation year. That way they get something unique for their selection.
So for the coming weeks I will share my creations. For each one I list the manufacturer of the yarn and the color. In case you like the yarn and want to create something of your own.
Red Heart, Parrot Stripe
Lion Brand Bundle of Love, Unicorn this is a good baby color mix if you wanted to do a blanket for a baby. Although I usually offer the new parents the option to pick other colors if they don't want the baby pastel look.Red Heart, Papaya
Caron, Simply Soft, Rainbow Bright
This last one I made double size for a friend who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Something she could cuddle up with during treatments or at home. Plus some hats to cover her head. Thankfully she is doing very well and back to normal activities after her surgery.
Beautiful blankets, all, and really fun T-shirts!
