Busy working on hats, outside work, reading. Plus I did a shift at the food pantry this week. Haven't helped out there in ages. I did lots of little odds and end jobs. Like putting eggs from bulk cartons into one dozen egg cartons. Each big carton had 90 eggs per box and I did at least six boxes. Then took other multi-pack items, snack food and small cereal into smaller quantity bags at 5 per bag. Last was to take those individual jelly packets into smaller packages. Two hours later I was done!
Mary Maxim, Spring OmbreNorthland, Mix of Wildberry, Rocky, Cliffside, Mix (Northland). I had enough yarn of these three colors to make them into a whole blanket. Better than making hats since I had so much yarn.Northland, Cliffside
Red Heart, Mulberry Mist
I bought new yarn and even rearranging things won't let me get it all to fit on the shelves in the closet. Yarn is still in the bags. Now that JoAnn's is totally closed I won't be adding to my stash.
Happy Weekend.
That all sounds like time very well spent! And the blankets are all lovely.
ReplyDeleteCollecting yarn is a separate thing from crocheting.
ReplyDeleteSeems like yarn purchasing and crocheting are two separate things, like buying books and actually reading them.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely blankets! The colors are beautiful.

I don't knit or crochet - I make patchwork quilts, so I just have to substitue 'fabric' for 'yarn' and it's all true (although I have significantly reduced purchases in recent years!)

They are all beautiful, the second is my favorite. The only help I've given the food pantry here is donating, I am very thankful to others who give time as well.
