The cafe is open every day during daylight hours, regardless of the weather. Feel free to stop in and watch. Today we had a special and different fevver stop by. We have seen this birdie before but mum never got any pictures, until today. You can click on the pictures to biggify them.
It eats with the goldfinches, it is about that size, but in comparison to the rest of the goldfinches in the picture, its color is different! Almost like an albino goldfinch. Or is it some other bird? Mum doesn't find any matches in her birdie book. Any suggestions?
P.S. It doesn't have the bill that more parakeets have. So mum thinks it is a wild birdie and not a pet that got out. Mum did e-mail pictures to BirdChick. Maybe she can help out with a good idea of what it is. Plus mum is part of a bird counting group and she saw this during her count, so she will send a picture in with her count. Stay tuned!
It almost looks like a yellow parakeet!

I would say it is the breed known as tasty bird.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - does your mommy have a flash camera?
Keep warm and thanks for feeding dem hungry birdies.
I wonder if it would taste lemony. :)
ReplyDeleteThat little birdie sure is pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe hear that with the climate changes going on more birds are seen outside their usual territories. Maybe your bird is from the east?
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of coming by for a couple hours later today for a viewing and a good long visit with you Derby.
It's really pretty, whatever it is!
