I had some really cool visitors this morning. I have never seen birdies like this before, they were huge and there were two of them. Mum says they are Mr and Mrs Mallard.
Looks like they stopped by to get a snack of the food that the other birdies spilled on the ground, then they wandered over on to the grass. Then I could get an even better look as I could go to mum bedroom window which was open. I invited them in, but they declined. Then they flew off. Mum says they probably went back to the river pond that is nearby. Maybe they will have little duckies in the future. Stop by with them!
Mr Chip Monk also stopped in for a snack. Haven't seen him since last fall, so I hope he had a wonderful and long nap this winter with all of our snow.
Then mum went out and did some stuff outside, so of course I have to snoopervise her. Otherwise I don't think anything would get done properly. She took away all of the grass and leaves that she has raked or picked up the past few weeks. Then she put in a little grass seed in a few spots.
More flowers are showing up, the hiya-cynths are coming up, these other little blue things are blooming (mum can't remember what she planted!) and the four-sithia, is almost ready to bloom too!
Plus she bought some seeds to start and a fancy thing to grow them in. But right now all of that is out in the metal monster room.
OK that is enough excitement for the morning. Time to nap!

ReplyDeleteMr. and Mrs. Mallard are my Man's favorite bird friends. Once, Mr. and Mrs. Mallard had babies in our old apartment complex. It was fun watching them waddle about. I really wanted to taste one, but the Investor said No. I hope you get to "meet" them!
ReplyDeleteDucks and Chimpmunks.. you are one lucky poose! thanks for the great pics.
ReplyDeleteWe love your garden and your duckies. :)
ReplyDeleteWould you like to have some of my mouse pie? I won't share it with Trixie or Tigger, but you can have some if you like.
Purrs from Pyewacket.
It looks like spring! We have those ducks around here but we don't have chipmunks because they aren't native to Britain. My mum saw some in Mericky once though.
ReplyDeleteCome over and visit, my mum has left me and my dad alone all week so we're having a mancat only party!
Wow Derby you got ducks, too! Ours keep getting bigger and bigger everyday! Your Mom's flowers are so pretty! Our Mom isn't to good with the growing of them.
ReplyDeleteYour FL furiends,
Ducks! How cool is that??
ReplyDeleteThose first visitors look pretty tasty - Mom says they are too oily tho. It looks like you will be having a nice spring.
ReplyDeleteTiki, Tavi, Cody and Camie
I think it would be cool if they'd bring they babies by, later. We'd just have to be real polite and try not to drool.
