ManCat Monday

A cat has nine lives and nine souls, and it must have nine guardian angels watching over it. - Karen Fields-Hutton
If the above quote is true then LillyLu, MuShue and Iris had 27 guardian angels watching over them. And those guardian angels did the trick. The kitties are alive and back with their mum. They were being checked on on Sunday evening by their vet and getting their medicines. I also think their were a few extra guardians of the Cat Blogosphere whose purring and purrayers worked overtime since Friday night. It is nice to have good news. You can read the details on the Cat Blogosphere.

CAT AUCTION AND RAFFLE BLOG FOR LAURA

Now we still are working to help out Laura whose apartment had heavy fire damage. There is a special blog for the various raffles and auctions. The raffle for the Gizzy Quilt is sponsored by CFHF, other items are other bloggers who are trying to help out. The above link will take you there and you can check things out.

This situation is also a reminder that we all need to have an emergency plan for situations like this. Who and what to grab and get out. Keeping copies of important papers in safe places and in more than one place, having insurance, even if you only rent! Having stickers on the doors to alert the firepeople that their are animals inside, how many and what kind.

Mum says she would grab me, her purse and maybe the puter. But I am first on the list, even the purse could be replaced and the stuff in it!

Now I have to rest today. My purrer is tired and I partied with the gang cellybrating as well. But it was nice to have something to be happy about, we weren't nearly so sure that this would have a happy ending when it started on Friday.
Deadline for entering CFHF Name the Kittie Logo Contest, ends Midnight New York time on April 15.

We have our PTU's in the room next to the bedroom - our stickers are on the doors. We get grabbed first, everything else is just stuff.

Thank goodness for the good news. We didn't see the original fire report because our computer was off, but what a relief! And congrats on your Mom's new job ... that's great!

it was a very rough weekend in the cat blogosphere, the happiness with MuShue LillyLu and Iris, and the sadness with Miral. It's good to take a rest today.

we gotta get paperwork together. the Lady keeps meaning to do it, but hasn't yet. we've got carriers all over the house, and window ladders (cause we're on the second floor), but we prolly need to get ropes too - in case of needing to lower carriers from the window in an emergency.

yes, it's 50 cents each. my (formerly) Blonde Girl was going to have a dinner at a restaurant and invite some friends and family. she chose to stay home instead, so we could give more to Laura. she's a nice one.

Derby,

I do believe us cats do have Guardian Angels. Our dad tells us that if we are very quiet we can hear their wings overhead.

Thanks for leaving a comment on Dad's story.
