Kitties in my Neighborhood

Now I don't get to go out and meet other kitties. Mum keeps me inside or if she allows me outside, I don't get out of our yard. But mum does get around, walking, going to work and does see these kitties. So here is the report.

As mum goes down the street from our house there is another blue house with a tuxie who likes to sit in the open windows like I do here. Mum hasn't seen him/her lately since the windows are all shut up.
Then on the way to work she would turn right and go down to the stop sign. On the house straight ahead of her there is a ginger and white kittie who mum can sometimes see in the windows and mum saw a calico in the window today too. Mum sees that ginger kittie most every day, she waves at him, so maybe he is just waiting for mum to come by saying hello.

Then she turns left and the house immediately to her left has two kitties, a whitester and tortie. The have a front window which is all roomy just like mine in the kitchen. They aren't always in the window, but some mornings they are.
Thankfully we don't have many kitties who are allowed to just roam around, I don't get many visitors who wander by, but that is a good thing as being inside is safer.

  1. there are two kitties that live across the street from us and sometimes we see them from our upstairs window in the human litterbox room, but only in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees.

  2. I never get to hear about the kitties that mom sees in other houses! We only watch the ones that wander into your yard to eat the nip and our kibble.

  4. That is nice that she can navigate by cats. Most of the kitties around here wander the neighborhood. We have a black kitty, and a white and grey kitty with a stub of a tail. I see them in my yard sometimes and get really annoyed but what am to do?

  7. Inside is definitely safer. There's a tuxie who lives across the street and sometimes we're in our windows at the same time. Not that often, though.

  8. I love your window! And I amazed at how many cats your person knows. We know a couple around here but the Woman doesn't see them and know where they live the way she did in Vancouver. There she knew who had all the cats!

  9. We know there's a kitty who lives next door because the People see her in their window every day. And there's an orange kitty running around outside. We don't know if he belongs to anyone, but he looks well fed. I hope he has a home.

  11. It must be nice for your mum to say good morning to the kitties on her way to work.We hardly ever see any kitties here.Once a black kitty used to sit on the horse drinking trough in one of our fields. We think he used to live on a neighbouring farm.Sometimes we can smell introoders have been around, but we don't see them.

  12. Inside is better. There are food bowls and cat beds and fresh water. And no monsters with wheels or mean dogs.

  14. Yes, I agree that it is safer inside. We have two cats in our neighborhood that wander. One will visit our back deck and cause some excitement. The other loves at the end of the street and we've never met, but Mom and Dad have told us about him. Thanks for the report. We can totally picture your Mom's drive.

  15. Luna pretty much stays inside. We used to see a lot more kitties in our former home, which was on a quiet street in a smaller town. Now that we live downtown in a big city, we don't see as many kitties outside.

  16. We see a couple of "gents" roamin' in the spring, but other than they, we've no strays to speak of, which is a good thing, 'cause my house could get crowded!

  17. Think yourself lucky, Derby, that you don't have an evil intruder kitty visitor like that Marmite creature who thinks my garden is his garden!
