How Many?

Mum biggified this and went over it as carefully as possible. She says three. Biggify to read where mum says "here". Mum is looking for some other pictures that she might do something similar soon. Nice to see green plants, flowers, butterflies etc.

A big shout out to Uncle Stormy, happy purrthday to him. This is his last purrthday in this decade of numbers, next year is a zero purrthday for him.

Plus spring must be coming. Wednesday before mum left for work she came to say good bye to me and we saw all of these fevvers outside. This was only what you can see on the ground, lots more were up in the trees. Mum counted over 30 of these big black birds. Mum says they are summer birds, birdies that come up to live here in the summer. Most of these are grackels but a few red wing black birds too (both male and female). If the birdies know it is OK to come north, that is a good sign.
Mum says she will be sort of busy this weekend. Grampie will be here for lunch tomorrow after he gets taxed to death.
Plus play time!!! Oh good the sparkly toy will come out. Happy weekend one and all!

Yay! I found the right number of butterflies. If the birdies are back, then Spring can't be far away. We had some warmer weather, then it got cold again. There are buds on some of the trees. I hope that they didn't get frozen. Just remember not to eat any of the sparkly toy.

That butterfly picture isn't recent, is it? If so your Spring is way ahead of ours and that would be cheating.

Have a lovely weekend.

We especially love the way your feet and belly look in the last picture.

It looks absolutely beautiful at your place, Derby! Spring in Houston is miserable with all of the rain.

Happy weekend, Derby! I'm glad that spring is coming for you, even if it means that winter is coming for me :( Hey, I've given you an award! Check out my blog post on 13 March for more info.

Mum thought she could see a fourth flutterby wing behind the purple flower beneath the flutterby on the left, but when she magnified it a gazillion times until it went blurred she thought it was probably a bit of another flower instead. It was fun spotting them.

We think that is how many flutterbyes we counted. We are glad you are starting to get warm weather birds coming to visit you. We hope you have a great weekend, but we agree with Karen Jo, don't eat the sparklies.

It snowed here yesterday, but the flowering trees are blooming, so we are pretty sure that Spring is very close.
