We have been on butterfly alert. Have been seeing a few more flying around in the past month. That is good.
Plus she saw lots of Monarch butterflies at the race track last weekend. So while they may not be in our yard, they are around.
Fall is coming, we have had some cool days, now warming up again. Mum says they are starting to harvest the corn from the fields.

N last week end wuz spozed ta be a monarch fest but we think they all said forget it; thiz place bee two cold ta bee chillaxin in N they taked off

We have had lots of flutterbies here as well. They like the flowers on my catmint. I used to catch them, but now I just watch. Grasshoppers are better.

ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen any butterflies around here lately but there were a lot earlier in the season. I hope those stoopy grasshoppers didn't eat them or something.
