Garden Thurday

Hello and Welcome from Virginger. Yes, I am still the only one outside. Mum promises me that the other two girls are getting kicked out this weekend. No more excuses.

After our bit of rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow last weekend, it got sort of nice. Going to be a bit cool yet for a while. Flowers are still starting to come out.
The daffs are just starting to open up, plus it is nice to see more green leaves in the flower beds.
These tiny little things are Grecian windflowers. Mum only planted a few of these years ago, they live on and get moe of them.
The four-sith-ia is getting ready to open up as well. Mum loves this as a sign of spring.
A few of the hiya-sinths starting to show the flower stalk that will open up soon. Tulips are coming but the daffs have to bloom first.

Mum is ready to go on the war path with the sqwerls! Look at what they did to the sock for the finch seed! Chewed holes in it and all the seed drops out. This was a brand new sock! Plus them crazy sqwerls don't even eat the seed! They are destructive little buggers!
This was taken over last weekend, you can still see a tiny bit of snow left on Caturday. It is all gone now.

That is all from the garden, Love Virginger.

  4. Your garden will look lovely when all the flowers are blooming. Our azaleas have started to bloom, but the gales last weekend blew a lot of the flower heads off.

  5. Very frustrating about the sqwerls. It's one thing that they might be desperate for food, but to damage the new sock and then not be interested in each the seed is too much! Harrumph!

  6. It's really too bad those stoopy squirrels are so very stoopy. At the house, we didn't have very many at all but when we did, we had the same problem. We didn't have a solution either. :-(

  7. The crazy squirrels chewed a hole in our birdie feeder. They can be so annoying!

  8. Darn sqwerls! We hope your mom bean finds a way to stop them from chewing bird feeders.

Oh, that green stuff looks soooo good. We had the cold here today and snow flurries. Mom bean says it will be a few weeks yet before we see anything green.

Good to hear your mom bean is starting to feel better! Ducky, you must be doing a great job as a nurse.
