ManCat Monday

The cat of the slums and alleys, starved, outcast, harried, ... still displays the self-reliant watchfulness which man has never taught it to lay aside. - Saki

Me and mum made it through the weekend. Like I said, she was bizzy, bizzy, bizzy purrty much all weekend. Finally on Sunday afternoon she was all caught up and sat down in the napping chair. Stretched out and napped. I hopped into her lap to join her. It was so nice to finally just chill, the two of us together.
Me on Sunday enjoying the sunshine and seeing what is going on outside. Nice to have a sunny day to enjoy, even if inside. Mum did go out in the sunshine. More out to buy stuff that was on special, plus something she needed so she could cook some more.
Mum had all the stuff for this. Another attempt at Yorkshire Pudding, just flour, eggs, milk and a bit of salt. Mix it up good and put it into a super hot pan in the oven. Mum says this is her best effort yet. But since it makes so much she doesn't make it often.
She also slow cooked a pork tenderloin in some fancy sesame ginger sauce and one of her casseroles so she has foods to take to work. Lots of cooking this weekend. Mum says she won't be cooking as much next weekend. Maybe she can just eat Easter Eggs next weekend!
Mum is 100% done with the crow-shay and knitting projects. She got out the ironing board and pressed the little dolly blankie so it will keep its shape. Mum thinks it turned out OK for making up the pattern as she went along! Now she needs to find a box to get everything sent off.
So happy Monday? Spring is here, but snow may come later in the week. Ick.

  10. Doesn't it just make you dizzy when the mom bean is so bizzy Ducky? These mom beans need to learn to relax like us kitties.

The blanket looks furry pretty; we hope you got a few of your furs in there too.

Pee Ess: It has been snowing here since the mom bean got home from chasing green papers. Spring was furry short this year!
