Cats are like potato chips, you can't just have one... - Kathy Hassell-Strom
Yes you can have just one, if that one is ME! I like being an only cat. I get all the treats, toys and mum's attention. Sure when I first got here I had to share with Derby and he had to share with me. Mum says I am more loving to her now since I don't have a bro to snuggle up to. I think she likes that.
This is mum's favorite pic of the two of us. All peaceful and such. Derby on the left, me on the right. Just us ginger boys looking fabulous.
Me on Caturday AM watching the fevvers feeding once mum got all the snow off the feeders. We had lots and lots of them, hopping around and keeping me entertained. Mum too. It was letting her get a chance to figure out her new fevver counting app. Now she doesn't have to keep track on paper, then enter them into the puter. It can get directly submitted. She likes that.
So she was bizzy with that and then glanced up to see no fevvers at all! Not one. Then she looked higher and did see one. One that scared all the rest away. Mr Hawk!
It was a snowy, misty day, so spreading his tail fevvers to dry out. He didn't stay long and flew off.
It was quiet on the moving picture box. Mum did watch a little bit of a racy car thing. Something where they race for a full 24 hours! They is crazy! Mum only tuned in at the end to see the last half hour or so and to see who one. Otherwise, no other sports!
Have a good week everyone, last few days of January! One month almost done already.
It's interesting, how the dynamics of a household change when you lose one of the family members. Now that Binga isn't around anymore, I've taken over the greeter/ hostess position.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo of the two of you.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lost Beebs, Tama became much more snuggly than she had ever been.
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
That is a lovely photo of you and Derby.
ReplyDeleteWhen Eric got his wings, Flynn seemed to realise that his dad had lost his lapcat and started sleeping on his lap. Something he had never done before.
We have seen a lot of Mr.Hawk lately, and unfortunately the small bird population has gone down significantly in the garden.
You look very engrossed in your bird TV program there Ducky.

I agree, that photo of you and Derby is pretty darn special. I hope you get some more bird watching in Ducky!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mancat Monday, Ducky!!! That is such a sweet photo of you with Derby. It's such a wonderful memory of you cuddling ones. Thanks for the share. Have a fantastic rest of your week watching the birdies outside.

As much as I enjoy how magnificent hawks look, I worry about the little critters that it needs for it's supper.

ReplyDeleteWe love that photo of you and Derby ! Sweet memories. Purrs
ReplyDeleteWe know you miss yer brofur Derby... Sometimes there is just one potato chip. We haven't seen the Cooper's Hawk around here for months and we are glad of it. It shouldnt bother us, but it made us nervous. Especially Ayla since she is only 6.4 lbs. I drove TBT crazy; he would let us outside for months unless he was out there too.
