Baseball playoffs take up my evenings these days. Milwaukee Brewer's are in the championship against the LA Dodgers. Best of seven series. Brewer's lost game one, but had an amazing double play that will be on highlight reels forever!
This is being written well before the game starts on Tuesday afternoon. I will be paying attention to the game, not my computer. Plus some crochet to keep my hands busy from nervous eating.
Out local establishment even cancelled trivia night on Monday since they knew the place would be crazy with patrons watching the game. That was fine for me and my friends, we could all stay home and have a front row seat for all the action.
Struck Dead is the tenth installment of the Forensic Instinct series. Crime thriller type of read. The team is hard at work after the founders name was found at a crime scene written in blood. Did she do it? Or was the victim looking for her help?
Book and Dagger at the beginning or World War II the United States didn't have an agency to serve as an intelligence agency. So the powers that be went out and recruited various scholars and academics to scour documents and track down books, newspapers in Europe. At the end they also helped to verify art and other items for their validity. Interesting book but a little bit dry.
Capote's Women non-fiction book that served as the basis for the TV series Feud: Capote vs The Swans. Combines a relating of Capote's life and those of his "swans" who included Babe Paley, Lee Radziwill, CZ Guest and others. These relationships collapsed when Capote wrote an article for Esquire which was a thinly disguised story based on these women.
Happy Reading.

I'm hoping the Brew Crew can win the series!! ⚾⚾
