Puzzle Thursday

 Oh yeah, things have gotten super nice around here. Lots of open windows and just chilling for me and mum. Yesterday was ginger day too. Yeah, me and mum cellybrated. 

So nice if you look close you can see I am actually sitting in the window itself. Yeah, pick a spot and just hang out.

Later after lunch I decided to hang in the sun in the kitchen. Nice place to nap and mum actually got close enuf to get a shot without me waking up right away. Derby like to just stretch out on the table itself. 

Mum went back to the really old pics, back when I first moved in and found a pic of both me and Derbs hanging out in the kitchen with him spread out all over the table. It was our old table too.

 

So I haven't given you any puzzles in a few weeks so here we go. Some sun bathing pics of the two of us. 

Plus we made it to another new month!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Me and mum had a quiet weekend. She stayed home the entire weekend to stay out of the hots and humids. It is finally starting to get less humid and mum says we should be able to do open windows this week. Woohoo!

All nice and cool inside, I had fun playing with my new fevver toy. It is nice to have a cool house to hang out in the heat.
 

Mum worked on crowshay and reading her book which she stayed up late to finish the last little bit. Another day today she will start a new book!

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here. The hots are still here. Mum has been out to get foods and more yarn yesterday early in the day before it got hot. She plans to stay home and stay inside until at least Monday. 

So we will watch baseball, probably racy cars too. Mum can crow-shay while that is going one. Plus she can read her book.

Another full bag of yarn, her full closet too. Plus two bags full of yarns that won't fit on the shelf. I think she needs help! Is there a 12 step program for yarn-a-holics?

Thursday Late Again

 Can't get good help these days. Can I hire a new typist for me? Mum totally forgot, saying she was focused on getting a van to go. Sheesh mum, you know you can't fix cars and such. Oh, wait she is saying Van Gogh. Now that is different! Good ol' Vincent!

Mum said it was really cool. She and her furiend liked it. Said the puter stuff they did showed lots of stuff morphing from one thing to another. Even portraits that blinked!

Mum took some pics and short moovies. She didn't want to do a lot of it as she doesn't like watching the world go by through a camera lens.

 

Once they were done they headed back out of downtown and back to the burbs for lunch. Then they both went off to shop. Mum bought more yarn! Yeah, I knows you get twitchy when the cupboards get low with yarns mum. Isn't it too hot to make blankies? She says yes, but the sale was too good to pass up. 

I will just nap!

Yep, I do as I please, although sometimes mum is not pleased with what I am doing. Ha! So she figures that I care? 

Me and mum had a good weekend. Sunday was nice and I got open windows for most of the day. Mum used the grass eater to even off things, got cleaned up and then chilled on the couch. Watching baseball, racy cars and reading.

 Going to get hot again, so not likely to have open windows for a while again. Gosh I wish it would get nice for many days of open window time. Mum wishes it would be a bit cooler and less sticky too.

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here, Happy Caturday. Me and mum are planning a quiet weekend at home. She was going to go to MadTown to get day lilies but decided not to earlier this week. Seems she didn't get the area she was going to plant them cleaned up with all the hots. 

Mum got some surprize pics the other day from Miss Lynn. Seems she found a new puppy just a week after Shelby went to The Bridge. The puppy isn't living with her yet, that won't happen for another month. Mum tried to convince her to adopt, not to shop but she couldn't do it. No name yet for the pup yet. The kennel name is Charley as you can see from the pics and he is a wirehair fox terrier. Yep she got another terror.

Mum was gone for a bit yesterday. She has been getting massages most every week. It has helped get the knot in her back gone and she is feeling better. Mum says she needs to find a good place that is closer to home however. The place she goes is associated with her regular stabby girl doc's practice. 

Yep mum I am going to sit on you all weekend. You must give me lots of treats, pets and lots and lots of loves.

Thursday

 The hots and humids are back, me and mum are not happy. No more open windows for a while again.

Lots of open windows this weekend which was lovely. Mum did more work outside too. Plus she found out why Ollie is wearing a cone. Seems it is to keep him from licking his paws. He has allergies and licking his paws gives him allergic stuff. 

I had fun playing with my new fevver toy too! Plus sitting on mum,

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here, Happy Caturday. Our weather has improved. The hots and humids and storms went away and I got open windows yesterday. WooHoo. 

Mum also worked hard and used the grass eater on the entire yard all on the same day. Most of the time she just does part of it one day, then some more on another day. Nope, she did it all, but she did take breaks to rest. Mum looked at her fit thing and it said she had walked 7000 steps, 3 miles and 82 minutes of activity. Sheesh, I even need a nap after that from just snoopervising. 

I spend a lot of time on the tower during the summer. Just a nice place to hang, but rarely here in the winter. Do you change where you hang out by the season?

On a sad note mum's furiend Miss Lynn called the other day and said her woofie went off to The Bridge. Shelby, aka Devil Dog, was just over 10  years. The stabby man said it looked liked cancer on the xray. Shelby failed quickly and Miss Lynn helped her on her new journey.

This last pic she was loving on mum! Shelby was an Irish Terror, oh mum says terrier, but yes she was a terror at time!

Thankful Thursday

 Yeah, things have been a bit crazy around here. Nasty weather on Tuesday that caused lots of tree damage and caused power to be out for many, many people. I asked mum how many paws but she said too many to count. At the worst the newsy people said over 200,000 customers without power. As we work on this post still over 84,000. Several of mum's furiends haven't had power for over 24 hours. 

Even near us there are areas with no power. One of mum's fav places to eat wasn't open today at all cuz of no power. Plus our little downtown area has been without power all day.

We were lucky, the lights flickered a couple of times but we have had power and not much tree damage either. Leaves off the maple trees, deaded branches from the locust and a chair tipped over. So much thankful things are OK here at Casa De Ducky.

Early in the week a nice little box arrived with all sorts of goodies from Summer. I had forgotten I had won her World Cat Domination Day prize package. All sorts of goodies for me and mum. 

Thanks so much Summer. I will think of you when I play with these toys. Mum already had the magnets on the big cold box!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Since mum retired I usually don't wake her up. Even if I did if she didn't want to get up she would just roll over and sleep some more. 

Sunday morning as we were getting up, looking out the window towards the naybors, we noticed that Ollie the dog came out with a cone on! Poor guy, but mum wasn't outside when they were to ask about what happened. She will have to check on that when she sees them. 

Me and mum hanging out this weekend. I loves my mum so much. Mum watched all sorts of racy cars on the moving picture box. Boy did they do a lot of crashing! 

We had lots of rain the Caturday night, that means things will be growing more, mum will need to use the grass cutter soon too. She hopes she can wait until later in the week when it gets cooler.

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday! 

Not sure what kinda day it will be, we had thunderbooms last evening and we might get more this weekend. Oh well, we sorta need the rain. 

Come on mum, sit down and rest. OK, you can finish your chores, then let's just sit. You can read your book and I can sit on you! I think that is a really good way to spend the day.

Puzzle Garden Thursday

 Yeah, it is Thursday again. The hots are coming again so the nice open windows are going to be gone again for at least a week. 

Mum and I have been watching some of the Lympics. Mostly the horsie stuff. Mum watched them jumping like crazy the other morning. 

Yes we know someone there. The Chan's #1 is there and has been posting all sorts of updates on Booking the Face. Mum says it makes it more special since we have inside notes on what is happening inside the barns!

Mum thought this jump was super pretty. They were very inventive with putting in Japanese themes into things.  Mum figured out the pic was of Mt Fuji and the numbers 3776 are the height in meters of the mountain.

 

Someone commented on how different my furs look in terms of color. I think it depends on the light of when the pic is taken. Sunlight, lamplight, natural light etc. 

Two weeks ago I got a spa day cuz these peoples came and cleaned our house. Well they came again on Monday and cleaned again. Mum says they will be back every other Monday to clean. Mum doesn't like to clean but she likes a clean house. So I guess there is no way I can get this place refurred to my level. Oh well.

Mini-ManCat Monday

Things are getting back to normal here. Mum has caught up with her sleeps so she feels much better. 

Yes I got ham after mum shopped the other day and I also got some chick-hen on Sunday. She bought a few wings. Plus she bought a tuna sammich on Friday and I got some tastes of that too. I had a pretty good weekend when it came to foods. 

Me and mum watched the horsies chasing over the countryside from Toyko. It was a long time to watch all of the riders, over 60 of them. Plus there is more to come with them jumping today. Mum won't be watching it live, she won't get up in the middle of the night to watch. 

Yeah I will snuggle on your lap while we watch. 

 Plus it was super nice out on Sunday so the windows were open, gentle breezes and a wonderful place to nap.
