Fang Shui Friday

Always stalk from your power direction. Your power direction is anywhere downwind of the one stalked.

From Fang Shui by Catfucious, Peter Pauper Press, 2002.
Here I am getting ready to pounce on the unsuspecting feather and toy. I liked this sooo much it is now in pieces. I still have the little blue head that I bat around the feather got shredded. This was from my Secret Paws last summer.
This little yellow guy was making his way across the patio. Does this mean a good or bad winter for us? Mum doesn't know and doesn't believe that little fuzzy outside things can predict the weather. Most likely a birdie found this later and had a snack.

Flower Friday

This picture is from earlier this summer. It has flowers and even flying flowers, that means a butterfly! We have lots of butterflies around the yard. This is one of mum's better pictures of one of the monarch butterflies who visited.

Yipee the weekend is almost here.

Oh, and mum says I can have a purrthday party next weekend. Tune in Monday for details.

  5. Parties galore this time of year! I love your tip about where to hunt from. I like to be somewhat hidden with my body pressed on a wall or furniture.

  12. Nice stalking form Derby!
We had one of those yellow caterpillars with the big black spikes near our deck this summer. I sniffed it & watched it then backed away.-Scooby

  13. My mum wants to thank you for the purrs and good thoughts after her Very Bad Day on Wednesday. She has recovered slightly now and her colleagues bought her some chocolates to show their support. The repercussions of The Incident are still going on and one of her class has been expelled from the school and that is a Good Thing.

  18. Great! Another party! I loved yours last year!

Are you coming to mine tomorrow (Sat)? Birthday kitties are my guests of honour. Both Sept kitties like me, and Oct kitties 'cause I'm having the party in Oct, 'cause of Whisper going to the Bridge. Will you be one of our Guests of Honour? Sorry the invitation is a little late. My OTW has been so busy setting up for the party she got a bit behind on the invites and keeping up with the comments.

    Hope to see you there!

  19. Great advice, Derby!! (Hee hee, that toy looks familiar).

We're hangin' out over at Jack's party today, hope you can stop by!! And we're lookin' forward to your party too!!

Mom says that Bucky's here today, we want to go see him!! (Mom also says she stays far away from all of that if she can help it, so I guess we can maybe only see him on tv).

  24. Mom didn't even get to watch most of the game, but she left the tv on for us so we could see Bucky. We likes him!!

She says the Lions have had their share of embarrassments (and Bucky beat them last year)! Plus, it must be purrty hard for teams to play here, 'cause we can hear the noise at home, and we don't even live anywhere near the stadium!!

We hopes Bucky has a better time for the rest of the season!!

  25. I want to eat that bug. I'll be at the party.

  26. We have little buggy worms like that, only they are black, orange, black. They say you can predict the weather by the length of the orange stripe, but Momma doesn't know, either, how that goes. They just look like fun to play with.

  27. Looks like you know how to have a good time. We should play more often, but the bed is just so warm and soft. What is a cat to do?

Hope you had a great weekend. Any good games on?

  29. That's a very good Fang Shui lesson. The flowers are very pretty.

It is very distressing to get so ill far from home. The good news is that she may be able to come home Tuesday.
