Finger Update

Me inspecting mum's finger earlier today. From some of the comments you made based upon mum's bandage of her whole finger that this was a HUGE cut. No so, just overkill on the bandage for the first day to keep it protected.

While it needed stitches the actual cut is about 1/2 inch long, on the outside of the finger, just below the middle knuckle. Mum took all of the bandages off tonight, the cut is clean and did not bleed anymore after they stitched it. Mum cleaned it up and put on a new and smaller bandage. The big splint is to make sure she does not bend the finger and pop open the stitches. Here is the bandage tonight. She changed the splint too, so she can move her finger and hand a little more naturally.
But since it is hard for mum to type for me, I won't be doing much commenting for a few more days.

Thanks for all of your purrs for mum, she appreciates them. Me too, purrs back at ya!

  3. We are so sorry your mum had to get stitches. That is never fun. I had stitches back in November but that was because the vet took something out of me. It was not fun.

That looks painful! And it is probably very annoying--which hand? Right or left?!

  16. Glad to know your mommy's cut isn't serious. From the size of that bandage it looked like she almost cut her finger off.

  17. G'day Derby, Thanks so much for visiting us, especially when you've got your paws full looking after your Mom. Hope your Mom's finger heals quickly - you might have to go more to help her so that she doesn't try to use it.
