Finally Friday -08/08/08

Hey it is Friday, Yay. Can't wait for mum to get home so we can play and play and play all weekend. Plus the 'lympics start tonight, so I guess we will watch some of that stuff over the next few weeks. Look at the fancy date today, eights and zeros.

Below is another of my photos from the photo shoot the other night. I had turned to face the other way for a while. I don't usually mess much with mum's litterbox. I don't drink from it, but I have played in the water. This must be a ginger thing as Billy SweetFeets Gingersnap has wet feet too sometimes.
Sometimes I jump up and sit behind mum as she, ummm, does her business. Sometimes I just keep walking back and forth brushing up against her. I rarely let her alone in there. So that evening I jumped up behind mum. She finished and then went to get the flashy box. I stayed put for a few minutes just watching the bug.

New Kitty alert! Go say hi to Mortimer please. He needs more visitors and Catster furends too.

Flower Friday

Here are a couple more pictures of our morning glories. This day we got three flowers on the same day. Some days we don't have any, and at most three so far. Mum has two pots on each side the the metal monster's room door, but only one pot has bloomed so far.
In case you don't know, these flowers only last one day, the open in the morning and by evening they close up like below and then mum picks the blooms off to keep the plants looking pretty.
Plus the weather continues to be nice so lots of open windows. I love open windows.

The number 4 saga continues, he has left Whiskerconsin and headed for New York, New York. It is such a big story it even was on the BBC website. The BBC is in the UK where Fat Eric lives. They don't normally worry about our brand of feetsball. But the local TV is still in overkill here. Mum got home to watch the news and they had his press conference on TV from New York. Enough already, he's gone, let him and it go. Get on with your lives!

OK, enough ranting, time to chill for the weekend.

  4. We like to hang out with Mom in the human litter box room too because she's stuck there and has to give us love.

My Dad thinks No. 4 should have stayed in Mississippi. He hates all the confusion for the GB fans.

Mom is very excited about the Olympics. The Olympics starting had Mom and Dad thinking back to the Cat Olympics from years back.

  10. Derby, you're handsome as ever.

The good thing about morning glories is that they come up every year.

Your 'lympics update: They shoot colored boom-booms into the sky. At least it's dark so you can't see their bad smog problem.

  22. Derby, looks like you might be right about the vishus deer antler my mum brought back from Norway. She is planning to take it to school to amaze her 6 year olds next term so I will be safe from it.

I am sorry you lost your number 4. We had not heard this story so we had to go and look at the weblink. My mum is planning to spend quite a bit of her remaining holiday vegged out in front of the Olympics on TV, cheering on the Brits!
