ManCat Monday

"The cat does not negotiate with the mouse." - Robert K. Massie

Well I did have a quiet weekend, partly because mum was around but not a lot and she didn't go and play with racecars either!

Friday she left and came back after the moon came up. Plus she had all sorts of jingling coins in her pockets. At first I thought maybe she robbed a bank but she was invited by her former boss to come and play cards. They play for money and mum won! Mum says she had about 5 dollars in coins to start and came home with 13. I think this means more treats and toys for me!

But when she got back she smelled like woofies, another kittie. The first woofie decided he needed to nap on mum's feets while she played cards. This is Kaiser.
This is the other woofie, Diesel, he was a little terror running arouond. He is a show dog so he still has his hoo-ha's, but mum says they might not continue to show him as his beanmom misses him when he goes off to shows.
Mum has no pictures of the kittie as she is camera shy, but mum did get to hold her and came home with black furs all over her. Mum says she has a cute little white spot on her belly. Said she is as big as me and mum can't even remember her name! Plus there were two ratties in a cage, mum's furiend likes animals.
Saturday she was gone for most of the after noon and evening. She and Grampie went to meet Uncle Stormie in a ShyTown. Uncle Stormie was there for a meeting and had time before his flight home for dinner. So they got to see each other, see a few pictures of the wedding in India. Then she dropped him off at ORD and she and Grampie came home. Here is a picture of the sky just as she was driving and almost home.
So since mum had left me all alone for so much I figured I owed it to her to make her pay attention to me! So I woke her up at 4 AM as I was chasing a mouse who had invaded. Mum said lots of words off of the bad word list. The mousie even tried to climb up into mum's bed! She was not happy about that. But the mousie got away, but I think it might be hiding near here, so I will wait and pounce again.
Have a good week everyone.

  2. It's so not fair that she smelled like other creatures--really! What is up with that?

I think it served her right for you to insist upon attention at 4 AM. In fact, I think I will do exactly that myself!

  9. I wonder why she did not enjoy having the mousie in the bed? That's the perfect place to play with him.

  14. We've never had a real mousie come visit. We have lizards and a couple of baby birds came in the fireplace, but no mousies. You're really lucky.

  17. Wow Derby, it sounds like you both had a busy weekend. We hope you catch the mousie soon. Mom doesn't like mice running around the house. She doesn't mind them in cages tho.

  23. Ooh, your momma is talented!

Does a show dog have to show their hoo-ha's and isn't that embarrassing?
