Fevver Friday

Last weekend when mum took me out in my porch we had lots of time to watch for birdies. Mum gets her fancy flashy box out and takes lots an lots of pictures. Please biggify for maximum enjoyment.

Mum's favorite, the hummerbirds. She hadn't seen many this summer, but then realized she really hadn't taken the time to sit and watch for them. Once she did take the time, she saw them.
Mr Goldyfinch sitting on the cone flowers, getting ready to see if the seeds are ready to eat.
Mr Red Wing Blackbird in for a snack.
A juvenile delinquent cardinal!
And a few fuzzy things that are not really fevvers. Do you see the tiny bee too?
Mum went to a talk at the library about gardening for butterflies last week. She learned a few new plants that might be good to add to our garden. But the lady said it has been a bad year for butterflies, cool etc and mum hasn't seen very many this year. So sorry no butterfly pictures, at least for now.

Don't worry about my chewing on cords, electrical or otherwise. I don't. I just really, really, really like that plastic thingy that comes off the soda bottles and mum is right there to snoopervise while she lets me chew. I don't get to chew enough to get something to swallow, mum won't let me at it that long.

Happy Weekend.

  1. You have some great fevvers visiting you. I saw the tiny bee. I won't worry about your chewing on plastic now that I know that your Mom is watching that you don't swallow any.

  3. We have no hummingbirds in Europe, which is a great shame. #1 enjoyed feeding the ruby-throated hummingbirds in Prince Edward Island last month!

  6. You sure get some cool fevvers. We get some too, just jays and doves mostly. Mom put out a hummer feeder this year, but we haven't seen any so far.

  7. What beautiful garden pictures with the birds and bee!

My brother sometimes likes to chew papers. Mom has to be very careful when she is paying bills that he only gets the left overs not the bill itself. Plastic sounds kind of fun...I'll have to try some.

  8. Oh I forgot to mention that Tommy also likes to check on plastic plants. Drives mom crazy.

  14. Those are some lovely photos! The ones of the hummingbirds especially are great. Our Mommy didn't put up feeders the past couple of years, where we live now doesn't have any big trees to hang them from or anywhere really off the house that wouldn't blow around. She needs to come up with some way to hang them as she loves hummers. Fascinating birdies.

    Purrs and hugs,
