ManCat Monday

Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms. - George Eliot

Oh yeah? We ask questions all the time, we think some of the stuff you do is absolutely stupid. We tell you that all the time, you just don't understand!
Ducky needs his ears and brain to be cleaned out regularly. He is such a goof ball, snoozing on the job here. Part of what I have alway done is to be the protector of mum. I patrol the house and make sure nothing bad is coming in that I can take care of.
These are a few of the things that Ducky thinks are mousies. They are not real mousies, they are play mousies. Fun to chase around and pounce on for practice.

Caturday night, mum came home from eating with Miss Lynn. She was sitting and hemming a pair of trousers for Grampie. Ducky and I were chilling on the couch with her. But I heard a faint sound from the dungeon and took off. Ducky did not follow, he has no awareness that he was supposed to be on immediate alert and be on duty.

A short while later I came up from the dungeon with this. A real mousie that I had made sure ran into one of mum's traps. Once it did I brought it upstairs for mum. Ducky didn't even want to know what it was or take a look at it.

What is the younger generation coming to? Sheesh, ya gotta be able to get a mouse now and then. Biggify if you need to.
You can just see the tail on this picture.

  6. Maybe Ducky should get some remedial mancat lessons? That poor little mouse is kind of cute, but not when they are in the house!

  10. After you were finished playing with it, you should've teleported the mouse over here so we could play with it.

  16. Yeah, eeeeeeeeeeeeeek from Jan! We can see where a mouse in a trap wouldn't be appealing as an appetizer. It's more fun to catch them yourself. Good job on being alert and bringing your mom the evidence.

  17. Oh mouses are fun! I can't understand why Ducky wouldn't want to play with one. I like to bring them to Mom as presents too, Derby.

  18. Eeeeeeek! You know what I have a friend who lives on the east side of our mountains and gets mice occasionally but she has this really cool trap that has a little trap door that comes down and she takes the trap outside in the woods and one end of the trap has a soda cracker that holds the door shut...so as soon as the mouse eats through the soda cracker the door opens and he is free! Cool huh.

  23. So you brought the mousie up trap and all? That is amazingly clever of you. Ducky is going to have to lean to pay closer attention to what you do and learn from you.

  24. Well Derby, that's why you're the big brother. You must each Ducky everything he needs to know to become a Mancat.

Panda Bear, Meerkat, and Cookie are the best mousers here. Caramel is a bit of a diva, and Padre is a pacifist. Who ever heard of a pacifist cat?
