ManCat Monday

You'll never need a lawn ornament if you have a cat in the yard - Debbie Peterson
Well, we don't get to go outside much, so can't be a lawn ornament, but we can ornament the inside of the house.

The rain stopped, the dungeon pretty much back to normal, but mum is keeping the fans going to just make sure everything is really dry. Plus the de-hum-didifier is running, which runs all summer to keep the dungeon drier anyway.

Mum says she will also need to clean some down there in the future, but that isn't a high priority at this point. Just to make sure that no mold or mildew sets in on stuff so the fans keep running to circulate the air.

It got nice enough to have open windows too! That was so nice yesterday to have the cooler and not humid air coming into the house.

All in all we didn't have many issues. Lots of people who live in our area lost lots of stuff, had major damage to their homes and one bean even died in the flooding. So we are thankful that all is well here. We appreciate all of your wishes and purrs, we are doing just fine.

So we thought we would show you some of the pretty stuff from outside that mum took over the past few days. The sunshine that follows the storm.
Stargazer lillies
Butterfly on the butterfly bush.
Bumbleebee on the cone flower.

  10. We thought that it was pretty big flooding when you even hear about it here! I am glad you are safe. The Woman still hasn't heard from her Aunt in Racine though (although sometimes they are slow to answer emails but maybe they don't have their internets or something with this weather--OH! I think their computer was down in the basement too...)

We are very lucky, though, that the cool air has not stopped comin when the outside got to 100F an 80 humidity...

  20. I'm glad you two are safe and dry and that things are returning to normal. So sorry to hear that someone died!

Those stargazer lilies are just beautiful. My lilies are being attacked by small red beetles that are eating them up.

  21. You decorate your house very well!

We are glad you are all okay. We don't know nuffing about floods but we do have "earthquakes"; in fact, we had one just the other day but I wasn't really scared because it was only small and short.
