Garden Thursday

Hello, it's me, Virginger with Garden Thursday.

We get a nice day or two, then it gets all cold. We still have a small bit of snow on the ground. We are hoping it will be all gone by the end of the week. However the weather guesser is telling us we may get rain/snow on Friday!
The other side of the patio is now all melted. Mum has to get the leaves raked up. She did some on Sunday, but if the ground is soft and still wet she had to stay off. Mum did get two bags of leaves raked up at that time and cleaned up some of the sunflower shells as well.
The tulips and daffs coming up by the back fence. Soon we may have some flowers and color in the yard.
We do have some color, Mr Cardinal was singing for his sweet heart to show up. So a bright splash of red for us to look at and nice to listen to his song.
That is it for this week. Love, Virginger.

  1. Looks like spring is springing. You have certainly earned it up there with so much white stuff for so long!

  2. Wow! Love the cardinal, one of my favorites! We have lots of dirty snow and ice left up here in Maine. Although our driveway is nearly all mud now. Joyous mud is... We have a garden post today, but the only ones digging are the squirrels! www.catofninetales.com

  3. Ooh, your buds are bigger than ours! Ours are just little green points sticking out of the mud right now. Am hoping for all snow and ice to have disappeared by the weekend, but it's cold today.

  5. The cardinal is pretty. We have had such a wet and mild winter that our daffs have flowered and finished now.

Mr. Spring just gave us almost a foot of Mr. Winter's stash. Not funny. Not funny at all.
