Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.
It has gotten super nice here. The hots and humids are gone. Mum has been outside nearly every evening, working on stuff or just sitting and reading until it gets dark.
Here is one of the newest flowers out front. It is called Bee Balm or Monarda. It is a short plant and mum likes the color. She may look to find more of these to plant next year.
Our ornamental thistle flower with Mr Blumbly Bee. Getting a nice snack before time to head back to the hive for the night.
This is what mum worked on this week. She pruned back the grape vine so it wasn't climbing all over the one lilac bush. Mum says the grape vine needs a severe cut back next spring. She didn't see many baby grapes on it. Cutting it back may help it grow more grapes.
Mum will get all of this hauled off on Caturday morning. It has been dry here, so she was even carrying water to some of the newer plants. Got to keep them happy and living!
That is all this week, stop in again. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper
That thistle is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
