The only thing a cats worries about is what's happening right now. As we tell the kittens, you can only wash one paw at a time. - Lloyd Alexander
Happy Monday, Christmouse is this week. Excitement coming! Mum is feeling better and is headed back to day hunt for three days this week. She pretty much laid low all weekend and only did what she had to, with one exception.
The exception, a shopping excursion! Not fighting the crowds but to get yarns to make a blankie. Seems there will be a new addition to the family in a few months. Mum has been told it will be a little girl and the mum-to-be said pink would work.
All sorts of little balls of yarn, pinks and whites. Yeah, I see this, would make a nice toy for me to play with.
The first little corner to start, but then it gets hard for me to occupy mum's lap for lovin'. Not so sure about this.
Planning my next move, that white bag has some of the yarn stuff in there and you can see the corner of the blankie. But mum was firm about me not messing with the blankie. FINE! I will go and sit by the sparkly tree and watch what is going on outside.
This is what she got done while watching the feetsball game.
Feetsball Report
The Pack - They won, but mum says it was ugly. The defense helped out big time with catching two of the other guys passes, one for a TD. Other plays they try such fancy stuff, mum says just run it and ram it down their throat. Specially if you are on the one yard line!
The Broncos - Mr Peyton still standing on the side lines, his paw is still healing. They went to play the Steel Men and started fast but came up short.
Happy Holly-Day week.
We are gettin ecited TOO! Just 4 days to go bein really good. An TBT says we are ALLUS good, so we bet that helps with Sandy Claws a LOT!
ReplyDeleteI think your human should have gotten some extra yarn just for you, Ducky!
ReplyDeleteYour Mom is a fast worker! That blanket is going to be precious.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you and your Mom have a wonderful holiday.
Merry Christmas!

Wow! Your Mom is fast. What a great job! But there should of course be lots of special Ducky lap time too!

Ducky, that yarn and blankie provide ooooooodles of opportunity for fun. And with you mum at her day-hunting gig during this week - well, there's nothing to stop you, is there?

Those colours are pretty. Your mum works fast!
ReplyDeleteShe sure made a lot of progress during the game! Has your human seen the plastic containers with a hole in the end that humans use to hold a skein of yarn while the project is in process? A friend who knits uses them to discourage her cat from unraveling the yarn while she is working. Not that you would do that....
ReplyDeleteToo bad your mum wouldn't let you help with the blankie. But it's probably for the best.
ReplyDeleteI think she should have let you help with that yarn, Ducky!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to stop by and thank you for giving me a virtual hug with your sweet comment you left for me on my post about Sammy's passing. Thank you...I so needed the comfort that only people who have been in the very same place can truly understand...
