Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to our first official Garden Thursday for this year.

For now, it is just me, Virginger, outside. Glimmer and Trooper are being delicate and staying inside. I am older and used to the weather. It can be wet and windy, or warm and dry. We are having more wet, windy and cool. They will be out soon.
Our one maple tree is starting to leaf out. Mum has done a little bit of outside work, mostly just picking up sticks. She will have more to pick up after our windy day.
The crocus bulbs are up and blooming, other stuff like the tulips, daffs and hiya-cinths are coming up too. We have purple, white with purple stripes, white and yellow.
Here is one of the yellow one and it looks like something has nibbled the flower off. Mum suspects a bun.
Sunday it is officially spring, I think it is already here.

Love, Virginger.

  1. Virginger, you're a cat: you snaffle that bun and let him know that your mum's flowers are strictly off limits.

  3. The flowers are pretty. Our daffodils have finished now and the narcissi are flowering. We only had one crocus this year. Mum thinks the mice have eaten all the bulbs.

  7. It is so good to see spring! We have had warm weather here but there has been no green poking through just yet.

    Enjoy!

  8. Yippee for flowers poking up out of the ground finally! Our Mom started picking up her sticks this week too. The weather is dry for once, but with so much wind, she'll be picking up sticks until summer!
