Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday.

Ducky is stealing our outside garden stuff posts. That boy has to learn to mind his own area of reporting. What we can report is that mum did get the last of the yard waste hauled off. Then she got the car washed and vacuumed out the inside so it looks nice.

In other news we think the robins have abandoned the nest over the front light fixture. Last week Wednesday there were two eggs, this week Wednesday still only two eggs. We will give this another week or two to see if anything does hatch. If not mum will have to get the ladder out to get this down and clean things out.
Yes mum got some new plants to brighten things up outside. Happy colors.

Mum did mow the lawn the other day, and trimmed off the grass she can't get to with the mower.

Plus she got some arty pics of the plants. She had been watering the new grass seed so there were water drops on leaves of the nearby plants.

So that is about it, mum says she will talk to Ducky about not reporting on outside stuff!

Love Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

Stay safe, Stay healthy.

  1. What was Ducky thinking! I hope your mum had a stern word for him!
Our baby wagtails left the nest yesterday and hid under the pittosporum trees. I haven't seen them today but mum and dad keep flying in and out with full beaks.
The flowers are nice cheerful colours.

  2. Pity about the birds' nest. As for Ducky - I think it's okay for him to report on outside stuff that he can see from his window. And it would be perfectly fine for you guys to stand right next to the window and report on indoor stuff that you can see going on. Different perspectives on the same things can be interesting.

  3. Ducky is a cat...they don't follow rules, if they didn't make up the rule themselves!

  6. Pretty flowers! But it’s sad about the birdie’s nest. Something must have scared momma bird away.

  7. Lovely pictures! At our place, we decided on a designated spokescat for the garden. Iza was most innerested, so we agreed on her. We are still discussing who should take over.

BTW, TBT suggests placing a small twig with a couple leaves over the eggs. If momma returns, she will just remove it. But you would know she had been there. Or (wearng gloves) move the eggs end to end and she will set them back as they were...
