Sesame Chick-hen

Mum sometimes stops and gets foods that are already cooked and ready to eats. She and I both like it when she does Chinese. So a few weeks ago mum stopped and got Sesame Chick-hen and some chick-hen fried rice. Then in the store she saw this new kittie food that said it was people food for cats and it had Sesame Chick-hen. This intrigued her so she bought a package which has the two flavors. Mum says the also have some fishy flavor like salmon. So here is the comparison. Mum's foods come in a different type box with fancy slots to hold it closed. She is getting ready to re-heat some of the leftovers. The cat food is in the dish on the left. On the right mum's combination of her sesame chick-hen, fried rice and some white rice. She has to put hers into the hot as hell box to heat it up before she eats it. She prefers the hot as hell box versus the zapper machine for this, says it makes the rice crunchy which she likes. The two dishes, while they are called the same certainly don't look much alike. Mum says mine looked more like other chinese chick-hen dishes as the sauce color wasn't as dark. More like a chow mein. Me diving in to eat. First I just licked off the sauce and really didn't eat the chicken, which also had a few carrots in it. Little by little I kept eating at it over about 30 minutes or so. In the end mum says I probably ate 95% of the stuff. Still a little left and I probably ate at least half of what you still see here. Can I please lick what is left of the sauce from your plate? Thanks. Hmmm, if there is no bad odors, guess this is non-stinky goodness! Mum read the fine print, there is sesame oil in the sesame chick-hen. Guess that is why they named it that. So to compare then mum opened up the chick-hen pot pie on another day. I don't normally get stinky goodness to eat on a daily basis, this is a treat for me, I liked them both. Mum says they do cost more than the other brands of stinky goodness. She might buy another box, just because she does have the coupon to use.

  1. That does look lishus. We do the same if we have something different and always lick the sauce of first, and if it is good, then we eat the meat.We like Beans chinese food too. Our favourite is King Prawn Foo Yung.

  3. You are very lucky Derby! We've never had Chinese Food. They really don't have any good Chinese Restaurants here in the Deep South. Mom is not happy about that. She mentions the lack of good Chinese Restaurants several times whenever she goes up to New England to visit our Aunties.

  5. That looks like a special treat, for sure. We don't get much stinky goodness here either. We have to be very good. We'll have to have Mom look for that next time she and Dad go to the store. Thanks for letting us know about it, and taste testing it for us.

  12. Oh! We got to try that brand a while back! We liked it very much, but since it costs a little more and my people are so tight they can bend quarters with their butt cheeks, we're not going to get it regularly. But dang, it was verrrrrry tasty!

  14. Your mom's food looks much yummier than your stinky goodness, but your stinky goodness doesn't look that bad. We like to lick the sauce first too.

  19. Thanks for your comment about the deer, Derby. The young deers were in that awkward gangly "teenage" stage, with tall, knobby kneed legs. I'm sure they can forage for themselves, but we'd still always see them out with their mom. :(

  24. There you go. A coupon is a good reason for more stinky goodness.
