OUTSIDE!

On the weekend before my purrthday it finally got nice, sunny and the temps warmed up to near 60 degrees. On Saturday mum let me out for a few minutes, but on Sunday mum let me stay out for over 15 minutes. Here are the highlights.

At one point I thought I heard the rustling of a mousie in the grass. Plus you can see how far away from the house I got. Mum tried to keep herself between me and the spot where I could maybe slip outside of the fenced back yard. I can run faster than she can, so she won't let me get a head start.

One of the first days I was here I did get out the front and into the neighbors yard, mum wasn't too happy with me on that. So if I get out it is only in the back yard and under snoopervision or inside my porch. Mum let me wander as it has freezed her, which means the fleas and ticky things are all deaded for the year.

  8. Oh I am so sorry that I missed your birthday Derby! I've been very busy and still am but decided to take a break and go visit all my friends on my blog and I just now discovered that it was your birthday the other day! It sounds like you had a terrific birthday! I couldn't see your video of you chasing a mouse. Something to do with my computer, I'm sure. Kenzie is jealous that she doesn't know when her birthday is because she was a rescue kitty,(I think she is around 10 yrs old because she was told she was 9 when I got her and I think it was about a year ago. Since we are old in this household we don't keep up much on birthday's. I was 52 this year!) Anyway, Kenzie wishes you a Wonderful Birthday and so do I!!!
    Linda :)
PS from Kenzie. You are so lucky to be able to go outdoors! But I am a happy kitty because mom lets me get away with anything. I have her wrapped around my little paw!

After a couple of real frosty weeks, we thought the ticks and fleas were all dead too, but last weekend we went for a woods walk and everyone had ticks on them woofies and humans. YIKES! You can't be too careful out there....

  12. Getting ready for the birthday? What kind of plans are you making? I can hardly wait to find out. There sure is a lot of partying going on in the blogging world.
Listen to your mom when you are outside and do not go too far away from her. Hope you had fun outside.

  15. Wow, it looks like you had a great adventure outside. Mom only lets Tavi outside, and then only in her arms or in his stroller. She might let Gracie out in a couple of years in the same way.

  18. NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Say it isn't so! I did miss the party, I can see by the postings. Oh this is terrible. I hope you can forgive. The mom has been busy with her health problems, imagine that she thinks that is more important than my social calendar. I heard that she was that way and there isn't too much I can do about that.
I really wanted to come. I think I will bother her tonight when she is trying to sleep, that will serve her right.
Anyway Happy Late Birthday, I know you had a good time.
    OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH NNNNNNNNNNOOOOO
    I missed it arrrrrrrrghhhhhhh!

  19. Oh my cod, I don't believe it!! You got to run free and not have to stay in your screened-in porch. I can tell how excited you were too, 'cause your tail was twitchin' like crazy. And you even got to scratch on a REAL tree!

Oh, I can't stand it. I need to go lay down.
